Its so funny because we have a Benavedez-Mike Dallas sparring session on the 1st page right now and then they get arguing about Pac sparring him but all of them are too lazy to even look. Here it is boys & girls. Pacquaio-Benavedez. Shit looks like the new age Hearns-Leonard. Jose looks like a prodigy and Pac is just clowning like he does alot now but you see that he can turn it on at any time. Great sparring, espically good learning for the kid. Pac has to stop with that ear muffs shit though, lol
Hard to tell, kid is well rounded throws brutal combination but it is sparring not fighting. That kid is super strong, he hits hard and I think that even in a real fight Pac would respect his power. Those body punches were bothering him. Something for those looking to find Pac's weak spots, body punching, he holds his hands high and that left hook to the body is a nice solid spot to focus.

Manny is a character in that ring! But that ALL GOLD was fresh!
please tell me you're kidding. any elite level fighter could stop this kid at any moment of their choosing. if Khan WANTED to stop him in 1 round he would, easily. case closed.
yeah, but amir con"peeleft: is NOT an elite fighter.
Please tell me your kidding. ive seen enough from him that he would easily stick with 90% of the top guys at 17 years old.
Roach said there sparring was completely even.
He schooled a 154 lb porter, and a made a 13-0 dude look like he didnt belong there.
lol. did you see the 13-0 dude's record? he fought guys like 2-23 and 4-30 records etc. and the 13-0 guy still beat him in the end.
You think he can hang with 90% of top guys just because of a sparring session you saw? Wow you are truly a dumbass dick rider. Any elite level would annihilate this kid in 1 round
yup that's that big move roach was teachin him against Hatton which Hatton made fun of and said he can easily counter but then Pac raped him with the same weapon. He ducks, counters your jab with his right hook over the top and then dips to his right and ends up at his opponents flank and then fires a straight left right into the side of their grill. it's perfect and you can see he's perfected it til it's second nature now
If you watch the Cotto fight closely, thats what Pac killed him with all night also and he never figured it out the whole fight. Anytime Cotto would even begin to think about coming forward & throwing a punch, Pac would catch him with that hook every single time like clock work. That shit hurt Cotto a bunch and eventually broke his spirit. Thats why he got on that bike
I highly doubt it.

True but Floyd has been aggressive in all his matches with Southpaws and even if he starts off countering Pac, I think he will switch it up and come forward more in the 2nd half of the fight
I think that's just a coincidence that people spout about. For example against Corley I think Floyd felt he was feather fisted and they somehow disliked each other to begin with cus weren't they talking trash to each other even in the ring in the middle of the fight, so Floyd was extra brash against him and just wanted to annihilate him. Against Mitchell, I always understood that fight as Floyd wanting to prove his power when he went up to 147 for the first time and so he wanted to just walk down Mitchell and brutalize him which he did.
I'm skeptical that Floyd just "happens" to be aggressive against all southpaws for some mystical reason but who knows it could be
Khan would brutally annihilate this kid in 1 round in a real match
yeah but I wasnt talking about Khan vs Jose. I was speaking of Pac hitting Jose with that right hook is a good learning tool and now maybe he wont get hit with that in a real fight and get upset early like Khan did. Thats why I think even with the clowning, it was a good experince for the kid to be in there with Pac
the problem why Pac won't catch Floyd with that hook though is because he usually catches people who are coming at him with something, i.e. swarmers like hatton or stalkers like cotto that are coming straight in and throwing, but Floyd doesn't fight like that so that right hook counter won't really do much against him because Floyd will be the one countering Pac instead

IDK about all of that. I think Pac did enough to still give the kid some experince. He still was in there with the best, a Southpaw, a fast mover, and there were a few times where Pac was being Pac and the kid did alright. I also think Pac eploded a couple of times just enough and landed some good shots that the kid will watch on film and learn from or add, like that right hook at the 2:24 mark. If that wouldve happened to Khan early in sparring then maybe he doesnt get dropped by Prescott. If it hadnt been for Pac doing this to Jose, maybe he gets upset by a right hook just like Khan

I understand that. It's hard to tell what he was really doing. How hard was he really trying. In a real fight, would he just sit on the ropes? If so then Benavidez kos him, but I doubt pac stays on the ropes, although he has before.
I looked at it two ways. Pac was just letting him get his confidence up, or he didnt care enough to try hard. Either way, I think it would have been more beneficial to actually try and get him some legitimate experience, or else that sparring session was meaningless.

That right hook that Pac lands at 2:24 is the shit. Thats whats been killing all his opponents lately. Can you believe that? A right hook is Pac's like #1 punch now. A few years ago he didnt even have a right hand at all. Its not just a good hook with power but he's like a student now. He times your ass with it and never misses. He's fukkin everyone up with it. Again, I think its a huge advantage to be Southpaw so it makes that punch harder to stop and it hurts alot more when it lands but he's got that shit down pat now.
If Floyd beats Mosley and him & Pac get it on. I cant wait to see how Pac's right hook matches up with Floyd's speed, timing, and smarts. Pac times it and throws it with great velocity but Floyd will think he can get the jab in before Pac lands the hook, he will think that he can still get his straight right in which is the #1 punch against a Southpaw, and he will think that he can out hook Pac with it. That single thing could decide the whole match.

The kids looks like he's gonna be a problem one day....but I'm not one for hyping up prospects or fighters that look promising, give the dude a few years to develop his craft and step into the elite level and we'll see what's up
