But the stamina.
You can implement an excellent strategy to outhustle or outwork Floyd.
Or try to expose his defense in one way or another...
But the thing about fighting Floyd is..
You can't get tired while you are doing it.
At all.
In any round.
Floyds stamina is partially what makes him so great.. his skills coupled with the fact the man does not get tired, at all.
To me it's one of the biggest differences in this fight... I think Floyd will be able to sustain a higher energy level than Shane consistently throughout 12 rounds.
OP hit the nail on the head, Shane looked absolutely shocking in there.
Not taking anything away from mayweathers performance, which aside from the 2nd round it was pretty much picture perfect. But Mosley made it easy for him since his stamina failed on him big time.
Mosley looked tired after the 2nd round drama and then for the rest of the fight he looked absolutely gassed, like he was afraid to let his hands go in fear of expending what little energy he had left. I mean Shanes not exactly one to shy away from a fight, but after the 2nd round he looked like he didnt want to even attempt to take the fight to mayweather.
Plus all that nervous energy with him bouncing around like that must have drained him even more.
Pretty dissapointed in all honesty, I was hoping for a more competitive fight, which no doubt it could have been if Mosley had stamina. Time for him to hang up the gloves I guess.
Dogdamnit Reed knows the truth
He has no one to blame but himself. He was too tense, nervous, jittery. Reminded me of Taylor.
You made a good call reed.
props.
Excellent call bro you picked it. Floyd breaks guys stamina down though. Not just from his punches but because he makes you miss, he takes your confidence away with counterpunches and your going to be tentative and tight because of his accuracy and hand speed which also wastes energy.
:fing02:......

Did you not see the counter shots everytime Mosley came in?
Mosley had an excellent round, in round 2.
Aside from that... his stamina was the biggest factor of the fight.

I dont't know what is going on but I can't create a new thread. I'm going out now so I'll catch up tomorrow, but I gotta say 6 things:
1) Floyd beat that ass on an excellent Mosley
2) FLoyd's mot impressive win since Corrales.
3) Floyd is the man at WW officially.
4) FLoyd totally shut him down and took his heart and Mosley WAS boxing very well until Floyd hit him with that combo in the 3rd.
5) Floyd could have taken him out anything after the 8th, I was just praying it wasn't in the 10th cuz that's what BUrner predicted.
6) I always said Floyd has a chin and was durable but he has major heart.
PS) Floyd's only fault- not enough killer instinct, stop carrying your opponent
OUCH, I'm gonna get much more wasted tonite.
Great point on the stamina, but he didn't have the skills either. A magnificent performance and yet I read in disbelief the amount of discrediting comments posted up. Indeed it does seem he can't win. I wonder what the excuses will be if Manny should ever fight him.
That performance tonight was a thing of beauty.
IF the fight ever happens and floyd were to dominate pac, then no excuses would be made. It would be the most legit competetive fight of floyd's career, entering the fight. Prime vs Prime. 2 Greats in the ring! I think its a 50/50 though that will probably never get made... which is a shame!

Nope, Mosley put alot of emphasis on that.
mosley is all class, he would not take away anything from his opponent. my statement is not meant as a knock on floyd's performance. its just mosley lookin as tired as he did so early was a huge red flag to me in this fight! its not like floyd ever attacked the body for mosley to tire so quickly
i expected mosley to gas quickly because of the long lay off combined with his age but jeez mosley was gassed by the middle of the 3rd round. gotta wonder if the 2 long training camps for preparing for first berto and then floyd, caused mosley to be overtrained...

false under all circumstances. shane gets stronger as the fight goes on.
With his juice thats true. Clean Shane Mosley gets tired throwing 10 punches per round.
Mosley didn't have the stamina. But Floyd surprised me by standing in the middle of the ring with Shane. Floyd did what he had to do. Shane just wasn't there in top condition.
And... everyone pretty much just dismissed that Mosley won't have the stamina.
Mosley kind of pulled a Jermaine Taylor against Pavlik, he wasted a ton of energy both when they had their man hurt and with constant unneeded movement.
Mosley fought like a sprinter and Mayweather (like normal) fought like a marathon runner wasting nothing.
PBF impressed the hell out of me. I eat crow. Taste terrible but if this is the new PBF I can show him respect. He fought very well, I don't think it would have been that easy with Mosley five years ago but he fought there and did his job.
Very very impressed with PBF. He fought tonight.
