This is a comparison between Shane Mosley and Erik Morales...Which Fighter has the better Ring accomplishments.??
Im really surprised at this poll
http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=353303
Most posters here are high on Shanes victory over Margarito. Data are provided for comparison if i missed someone pls bring it up...
If you look at both fighters Resume, IMO Morales is well ahead. and to note that Morales is constantly inside the TOP 100 fighters of all time from some well respected sites and journalists.
the knowledgable fans are splitting votes between mab and morales.
the newbs and flomos are voting mosley.
and of course the idiot jmm fans are delusional.
i think morales is the better fighter but their careers both ended on similar notes. in his last high profile fight morales gassed after 2 rounds cause pacquiao kept punching him. in mosley's last high profile fight he gassed after 2 rounds cause he kept punching mayweather.
Who has accomplish more in the sport? Im not talking about out of the ring antics or. giving away free left hooks in the chin. but who is the better fighter p4p?
In Jin Chi that fought Morales or
Ricardo Mayorga that fought Mosley?
That would be an ENTERTAINING SLUG FEST :D
Pactards will pick Morales, to give their man a better win over a faded Morales.
Flomo's will pick Shane.
How about a neutral english like yourself? bias aside who is better?
Ducked Nazeem?? and lost 2 trilogies ? because of that Shane is better than him? Shane lost to Winky twice and Vernon twice. Morales also lost to Pac and MAB twice but he was able to beat both of them.
Morales' best wins are Pacquiao and Barrera which is better than Shanes' Oscar and Margarito.
Would have been better if you said,
"Shane couldn't even win one from Vernon or Winky to make a trilogy ,
and,
he ducked Tito".
But I lold at his stupid comment.
That DLH would have KO'd Pacman with no issue. DLH was very good, his left hook would have caused serious problems. His speed was very deceptive and he just had power in both hands. Pacman has a lot of problems with a well calibrated left hook, JMM. Straight rights also helped which DLH had a solid pop with. DLH at 130 would have ate pacman alive, no questions asked.
We are speaking P4P here was that ODLH as good as MAB, EM, JMM @126-130? I know Oscar was good but was he a better welterweight than the tres amigos ....
PAC survived that gauntlet, IMHO p4p at the point PAC can hold water with the version of ODLH
He's not talking about head to head mate. DLH was at 147 Pac @130
DLH would have ate pacman at 130 is as valid an opinion as Pacman would have ate DLH at 130. Speedy fighters troubles DLH. not to mention southpaws too.
but.. we will never know for sure except for the next best thing PAC TKO 8 DLH @147 w/c is a reality.
Thanks bro you got my point I was speaking in p4p sense, and I could also agree with you that at those points ODLH could PROBABLY KO PAC at 147 but I AM SURE PAC would also be able to KO ODLH at 130 ...

I know Pac has improve a lot since his last loss to Erik, but their is in no way that Pacquio is chopped liver at that point in time, he was already three time world champion in three weight class with two of them lineal championship and he went 1-1-1 versus the tres Amigos ....
IMHO p4p speaking that version of pacquio could hold his own against the odlh that mosley beat ...

Morales losses to Pacman were far and away past his prime, unfair to judge him based on those losses. Especially since he beat Pacman past his prime. I still have Morales taking the first 2 of the MAB trilogy(didn't even look like he tried in the third) so I really don't see to many negatives on Morales resume. Raheem was when he was past his prime and I still think he deserved the nod over Diaz(even past his prime).
If Morales would have been the boxer puncher we all know he could be he would have had a much longer career but he wouldn't have received the love he gets now.
I simply called you out on you implying the Pacquiao Morales beat was a better win that Mosley's win over De La Hoya. When people make some valid points they tend to carried away and spout nonsense.
And i agree to that point. Does that clinch it for you?
You think Shane has better legacy than Morales? Why and how ?
ok I wont dispute that. But how about the Barrera that Morales beat compared to Margarito? If you are objective enough you would agree that
Barrera >>>>>>> Marg
and how about the rest of their careers? Does that victory over t Dela Hoya clinch it for you?

The Pacquiao Morales beat couldn't hold a candle to the De La Hoya Shane beat.

i hear ya. they just blurt out "its shane" without any argument behind it.
i guess it has something to do that shane is a lot more mainstream than erik (at least to american fans).
but yeah, its definitely el terrible.
Mate, Are you the same Ryan from saddos?
