Bulking Up For Golovkin Could be Disastrous for Kell Brook

You would think when you compile their records which collectively add up to 71-0 (57), you’d have the making of the ultimate slugfest between middleweight champ Gennady Golovkin 35-0 (32) and welter weight title holder Kell Brook 36-0 (25). And that very well could be how it turns out. However for Brook to give himself his best chance to win, he would be best served fighting as a boxer-puncher more so than an attacker and seeking the spectacular knockout.
Today everyone looks at Golovkin as if he’s impervious to pain and perhaps unbeatable. But the fact of the matter is, as terrific as GGG has been, he’s been swimming in a shallow pool of upper-tier middleweights. Nobody is giving Brook a chance, but he’s a much better opponent than anyone Golovkin has faced so far…But here’s where the problems show up. Even though he’s a big welterweight, he’s going to get out-muscled by Golovkin. Rather than doing the sensible thing, and opting for a hit-and-run strategy, he’s bulked way, way, up.
He now looks like a body builder-absolutely the dumbest strategy he could have taken. By packing on useless weight, he has taken away all of his natural advantages. He should have come in at 154-156, and moved all night (or for as long as possible). It looks like he’s decided to try to get Golovkin’s respect by standing his ground. If that’s what he does, he’s dead

Noone in this thread fanatically hates GGG ( barring maybe one or two who noone pays attention to ), we just appreciate that he's in a limited division which is extremely weak and that being top of that pile does not grant you the accolades of P4P and ATG.
Nobody has said they arent happy with #1 and #2 in the division fighting either... but we arent all stating that is definitively means theyre super close and its a great fight. the betting lines prove that.

There's about 3-5 good divisions in all of boxing outside of the lower weights and cruiserweight there all pretty weak and out of that bunch middleweight is one of the better ones. What do u want him to do go to super middleweight and miss out on the biggest fight in boxing to fight degale and the young mexican who hasn't done anything yet?
I could care less what GGG thinks, It's banking on him not suffering a cut or any significant injury in either the Jacobs or Saunders fight. And it's cutting down the time Golden Boy has to promote Canelo's Sept fight. Anything can happen in the ring Canelo broke a bone in his hand his last fight. It's unnecessary risk when you have a phuking contract on the table for 15mil and you the clear B side to Canelo. You upset that GGG has to sit and wait a few months longer and wait oh well blame K2 for phuking around with Jacobs. Could of fought in Dec like HBO planned and then had plenty of time to fight Saunders in April/May and been lined up perfectly with Canelo's schedule. Instead you haggled over crumbs with Jacobs and now want Canelo to pay for it in Sept? K2 = amateur hour
