If you want to read a really good book on boxing, I recommend a book by my good friend and true boxing historian Ted 'the bull' Sares. It's called "Boxing is My Sancutuary". It's a true boxing fans books. Look it up.
IL order it
Thanks
I read Oscars bio thing that stood out was how surprised he was that Floyd knocked out Hatton as he considered him featherfisted.
The best one I probably read was the four kings.
Bruno about his issues is good. Oliver McCall has a book out that's worth reading too. Didn't rate nazeem hameds though

I've read a few. One of my favorites chronicled the fights between Hagler, Hearns, Leonard and Duran; think it was called Four Kings. Another good one is "A fighter's Heart", book follows a few fighters at various stages of their careers. Also enjoyed a books on George Foreman, Jack Johnson, Ali and Mike Tyson.
Recent ones off the top of my head...
Carl Froch - came across really bitter about Joe Calzaghe
Joe Calzaghe - a good read
Johnny Nelson - a really good book
Michael Watson - worth a read
Roberto Duran - alright, nothing great
Jack Johnson - worth reading
I'm intending to read Sugar Ray Leonard's book soon, but currently stuck on "The History of Ireland in 250 Episodes".
Did you like calzaghe's
Not me though I did like the story when his old man marched him out to fight a group of lads in Wales
And how he had his nose broke in a pub
Actually thinking back I have read worse
I recently read "Blood Brothers: The Fatal Friendship Between Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X". It's not exclusively about boxing and more about his relationship to malcolm x and his religous belief,
but nevertheless the book had some interesting insights about Alis life.
Yeah I read a similar one
Couldn't get into it though
Looking back, the book I read was just ghost-writer fluff. But, for a little kid at the time, it was world-changing. I KO'd my first bully not long after that. lol Not joking either. :D
BTW, is that a real Tyson quote in that pic? If so, that's awesome. Going on my list.
Yeah Ali changed me too
Watched when we were kings and that was it haha
It's why I'm so ****y but hey it aint bragging if you can back it up
Good for you with the bully
Been there
And as far as I know yeah,Tyson has a lot of quoteable's
I read a few Ali books didnt find any decent ones though
My girl got me one for Xmas I haven't even looked at it haha

The only boxing book I've ready was an Ali bio, when I was in 2nd grade. I was supposed to do a report on any figure in history. Picking up that book was almost by chance but it massively influenced my life, even though I never became an Ali fan per-se.

"In This Corner" by Peter Heller, provides great insight from some of boxings greatest trainers.
"The Fearless Harry Greb" Awesome ****ing book about the legend of Harry Greb

I haven't read one.
I wanted to write a boxing novel, but knew far too little about the sport in general to do so. I had the story and protagonist down, but sh*t like training techniques, skills, etc, I was far too ignorant on.
Oh, but this thread is about bio's, not fiction.

Last book I read was Richard Pryors autobiography "Pryor convictions and other life sentences". I thought it was good. I haven't read any boxing biographies though.
