I didn't feel there needed to be a explanation for the obvious..May? whatever his getting his azz kicked by a 18-1 under dog name is only looked great against cherry picks of his choice while Manny went on to beat the best available challengers and rightfully earned his way up the rankings until he maxed out at his Seventh weight class ..Now these frauds want to b1tch and cry while he's doing the unthinkable...Fuk Paper Chumps
Edit: and if I may add of all sort's of styles while the other guy only fights slow come forward brawlers
Are you talking about Pac or Mayweather?
I doubt you read the article, or at least read it with an open mind. There's a mention of the Pacquiao fight but more than anything the article is about Floyd's hypocrisy concerning Alvarez' move to HBO and his allegiance to Showtime.
He's always boasting about being his own boss yet criticizes other fighters for wanting to do the same. He's constantly proclaiming his unconditional allegiance to Showtime and proclaiming it's the only network, yet throws them under the bus and trashes their all-access episodes which will hurt the company in the future when Floyd is long gone.
I don't get it. Why would he risk suspension by NSAC for drug use and fighting a 31 minute round . . . Apparently Showtime top executives were ok w/ it because they sent a directive to their employees not to comment on it. What do you want him to do? Man up and take the punishment i.e. Suspended for 6 months to a year? Everyone loses money by doing that . . . The article is more about DLH and Mayweather. Everyone knows MW and DLH don't like each other and everyone propagates that BS DLH beat or could have beat MW (which he couldn't even in his prime) but MW is talking about the way DLH got rid of Schaeffer after he built Goldenboy into the brand it is today. Schaeffer helped build DLH's company and made it competitive.

That is the reason Floyd said DLH is a snake. :duh:
This is hilarious.... I would have more respect for Kovalev if he accepted the loss but like a majority on this forum he can't comprehend the fact he lost a second time so he makes up excuses to why he lost.
If he was such a superior fighter and a beast he would have mauled Ward but fatigue (the true enemy of all athletes besides time) overtook Kova and he was looking for a way out.
Yeah, ok. Calzaghe dominated 168, jumped up to 175 and took on the champ in his own backyard, already dominated the guys that define Ward's legacy, and retired on top of the game like a boss. He would have toyed with Ward, dominating him with his jab and ring generalship.
Prime RJJ dominate prime Calzaghe end conversation ... Kovalev is NOT an all time great ... if he was he would have closed the show ... why let it go to the scorecards? Kovalev inability to make adjustments on the fly ... he wilted and he loss ... get over it ... he lost all 3 belts and his pride in one night ... I'm pretty sure it sucks to be him ... no I'm positive it sucks to be him ...
That is the Klits style. Punch, punch, clinch, lean. Anytime someone gets inside they will clinch or they will stumble back clumsily to avoid fighting on the inside.
It would position Paulie as a legit opponent for Floyd because all the publicity that's been generated from the pre-fight hype for this fight. Paulie being a title holder and also a Showtime commentator, I'd say it would almost certainly be Floyd's next fight.
Paulie has a good shot at beating Broner - the kid has been overhyped, he was getting outlanded by Gavin Rees, but he was just too small to take Broner's power. Paulie should be able to take Broner's power and return fire with consistent jabbing. I might actually bet on Paulie, not entirely sure yet.
Seriously . . . I'd take that bet.
Wladimir would do well against all of the past greats. Wlad is fast, has great footwork, excellent technique, very hard punches, and his chin is underrated. Plus he's a huge, yet very athletic boxer. All of the past greats would be in real trouble vs Wlad. IMO only Ali, Lewis and Tyson beats him.
Really? Fast, excellent tech., athletic? The only thing you got right is he is huge.
size means nothing without skill. . vitali is so much more intelligent in the ring it's not even funny. . . he has better reflexes than louis. . . he would taunt louis with his hands down and chin out, making louis reach. . . when he does, vitali leans back (DO THE ROCKAWAY!) and then comes forward with DEVASTATING counter-punches. . .
Skill? Intelligence? Jab, jab, clinch. Jab, jab, right. Jab, jab, stumble back ackwards so he doesn't get hit? Do u call that skill. Please. He is big and strong that is it. Some people say he is athletic but he is NOT.
Obviously Joe is before my time, but like many, ive seen his past fights via internet over the years. With that said.....IMO, Vitali would have a field day against him. Too big (unlike P-Will Vitali knows how to use his reach to his advantage), and that sledge hammer of a jab would make Joe look like Margs after the Pac fight.
IDK why I let everyone's ignorance get to me but u mention nothing of technique. Louis would outbox him easily. An outdated Lewis beat Vitali, what the he'll do u think a prime Louis would do?
so?....pac vs jmm 3 was percieved as a mismatch..imagine if it was'nt....if pac sells more vs jmm 3 than floyd did, he is the new ppv king, period....
Balderdash.
Yeah the writer failed to mention that Tim Starks had an hbo official confirm the numbers were correct and then the Starks questioned the authenticity of mosely pac's numbers.

Khan lost control of the fight. At the beginning he was in control especially w/ that questionable kd but after that he was trying desperately to keep Peterson off of him. I mean everything from running (actual running), pushing, pushing Peterson's head down, and clinching. If he had control of the fight and Peterson it wouldn't have been necessary to do all of that. It's nothing wrong w/ pushing but Khan made it so obvious. It was also obvious of hbo commentators but I give Larry merchant props for being somewhat fair in his post fight interview.
Broner is one of those athletes that i wont feel pity from when i read, 10 years from now, that he's flat broke and working as a crossing guardhttps://bleacherreport.com/articles/1570127-nba-great-has-odd-job
Lol . . . Yeah like ur boy that got knocked the f**** out by Marquez. U don't think that s*** would cause u to need therapy? Just watching it made me want to have therapy.
I wonder how many times he gets asked to fight Pacquiao on a daily basis
Its messing with him psychologically. Dudes gonna need therapy

They had open scoring during the fight so they new they were ahead . . . I don't think they were shocked they won. They were more disappointed in their showing or how they won. It was an ugly win and they expected a much easier fight. Everyone expected Garcia's fight to look like Canelo's fight. I know I did.
Floyd prefers to train w/ Roger. Over the past couple of years Rogers diabetes has gotten worse and he isn't able to train Floyd the way he is supposed to train him so Floyd Sr started traing him. Floyd was a better defensive fighter w/ roger as opposed to his father. The reason he was hit so much in the Cotto fight was because Cotto is a great fighter.
I read great article on maxboxing yesterday addressing the failings of Tapia's corner, the doctor and Smoger. The corner should have never sent him out into the 5th round. The doctor could've stopped it in the corner and Smoger could've stopped the fight a little earlier and no body would've complained.
Saying all that I still felt Kirkland purposely threw that last punch knnowing the ref was stopping the fight. If you rewatch it Kirkland is just throwing a bunch of punches and was already overwhelming Tapia and right as Smoger steps in to stop the fight Kirkland loads up on his last punch all of a sudden. It was nothing short a cowardice act to do on a defenseless man. That was some shameful ****.
I heard people were saying it was foty. It was nothing more than a onesided beat down. foty, give me a break.
Cowardice? Tapia should have taken a knee but he kept standing and moving. Kirkland was just doing his job. He was entirely focused on Tapia. They didn't stop it in the 3rd, or 4th . . .
