I've seen him fight once the p will fight I think he's a good fighter very solid good counter punching good speed decent pop very crafty in other words I like him but damn it seems that people are making him out to be this god in the 154 lb division. Who has he beaten other then pwill past prime serious lay off pwill that suggest he's that great everyone seems to think he should get a shot just because he's talented he has to earn it best thing he should do is stay busy keep getting more experience against who ever get some ko's and build his name cause as of now he has no name value just a tricky fighter that's hard to look good against with great boxing ability but that doesn't mean he'll win all these fights....just my two cents Feel free to disagree Rhodes, Gomez, Cintron, and Mosley were all more deserving of a title shot than Lara?

Lara called your boy "scared". Canelo responded, by not responding. And again, he's already fought Molina/Williams. Better than ANYTHING Canelo has done. lara is calling everybody and his grandmother out. to be fair, outside of lara, who brings nothing to the table, canelo is calling out all the best fighters as well. neither of these guys pick who they fight. canelo at least has some money. lara is by no means a rich man and he before the hernandez fight he had not fought in a year. that means he makes no money. canelo wants to please goldenboy at this stage. if they play their cards right both he and goldenboy will be pulling in more than a few million every time he fights in a year or so. he's going to do whatever they ask. down the line perhaps he'll have more of a say about the direction his career takes, but for now he's a 22 year old fighter who knows exacty who he works for. it's very clear that he's the kind of guy that's trying to please his promotors. clear as day. the guy gets it in that sense.

I made the thread asking why Lara gets so much hype so do you think it bothers me. His nuts ain't in my mouth I'm just trying to look ring up a different point of view I make threads like this to make people comment and discuss with each other so I can see their point of views not to favor one fighter or the other I do it with all fighters one moment I'll say their not that good and the next that they'll blow some guy away just so I can see what others think. Lara has face better competitionin in only 18 fights than Canelo's, and you can count backwards from Mosley all the way to 18. My only problem with Canelo is that he is keeping a mayor belt hostage, if he is not going to defend it why having it? Vacate the belt keep fighting bums until he is ready to step up and reclaim it from a Champ, he didn't won that belt from a JMW, he fought Hatton's brother for God sake...

Like I said, at this point it's subjective. Just sayin' that's how it looks to me at this stage of their respective careers seeing as how neither man has really fought the top guys in their division. You might be right. However, I kind of like how he fights despite how protected he's been. I along w/everybody else sure wish he'd fight somebody good and soon. Then we'll have some better evidence to argue about. That's the only thing we ask for, but they keep him away from good fighters.

Ok, maybe if they fought again like PW-Martinez, he could has KO him the second time around (Williams didn't one that second time around) and the first fight between Martinez_Williams was closer, way closer than Lara-Williams, so there you go, if canelo is the real deal why he hasn't face a real JMW or a fighter with a pulse? I'll tell why, he ain't $h1t the only reason he is there is because he is a rarity among Mexicans fighters, they have a chicano back in the 70's just like him, the only difference is that Lopez could fight and didn't duck anyone. Somebody w/good timing and a nice uppercut might be able to take good advantage of that. Sounds like Canelo to me. However like I said, Lara looked good to me last night, hence I see it 50/50 at this point. Base in what do you call that fight 50-50, who has Canelo beat that make you think he will be competitive against Lara? the only 50-50 there is Cotto , and if I have to bet I'll put my money on Lara, the younger and closer to his prime, and Hernandez has a beard there's no doubt about that, he got caught against Berto with a punch he never saw coming and in the first round, I could mention a lots of HOF that being caught just like that, beside Hernandez face say it all, and I'm not talking about the head butts.
