For 99$ a year, DAZN is delivering a constant stream of good to great boxing cards. That said, these cards often exist in a vacuum due to the small number of US subscribers.
Pacquiao d. Thurman was the best quality win in the division since Porter d. Garcia. Neither Spence or Crawford have a win over a top 10 ranked welterweight in the last 18 months.
1 Pacquiao
2 Porter
3 Spence
4 Crawford
5 Thurman
4 was the most action packed.
The 2nd fight is one of my favourite fights of all time. 2 top 5 p4p fighters in their physical primes giving their best effort to win.
My thoughts exactly. II was the one of the great fights in modern history and IV was the definitive and fitting ending to an epic rivalry.
Why is TR even mentioned here?
Duva is Kovalev's promoter, not Arum.
What have I been missing?
Top Rank has points on a co-promotion deal they made with Duva last year. It’ll end up being a nice chunk of change for doing absolutely nothing.
Kobe's legs were gone by the time 2012 or 2013 rolled around. Third team All-2010s is a bit generous. The man is a surefire HOF player based on his 2000s run though.
Lomachenko v. Lopez is for the undisputed lightweight championship.
It was no secret that the next match for Loma was the winner of Commey v. Lopez in an undisputed showdown. Why the WBC needed to pull that **** at their convention is beyond me.
Im more of a fan of Marquez than Cotto
I think at weights above 140 cotto was somewhat of a fabrication, he obviously was a PPV cash generator so was given a nice easy ride for the most part.
At 140 though he was the real deal and I think he builds a lead and is smart enough to hang on in the second half when JMM steps it up
116-112 or 115-113 cotto
Agree on both points. Prime Cotto at 140 would have been too much.
You make it sound like UFC is losing money.
Explain why they still can come up with fights on a regular, consistent basis.
Their fighters are not that greedy, for one.
MMA fighters don’t take fights on national TV for 30K/30K out of the goodness of their hearts. UFC controls 95% of the market and is allowed to act as both sanctioning body and promoter.
Supposedly Spence is in LA right now so does that mean FOX will get the Garcia PPV? They will be getting both that one AND the Broner/Pacquiao PPVs? If so, that's interesting but would take care of two of the four PPVs FOX will be putting on.
All those fights can't just go on FOX as SHO will be putting on three shows in the first three months themselves.
Espinoza is a smart guy. He's not going to take a bath on Spence v. Garcia. Let FOX have it.
