Much respect to Devon. This dude will take on ANYONE, and that's what Boxing is all about. I actually like Devon. I don't know why he gets so much hate.
Amir Khan calls out Pacquiao/Mayweather/Whoever = Delusional, ducking people.
Devon Alexander calls out Thurman = Ducks no one.
:lol1:
People call him delusional because he didn't earn fights with those fighters you mentioned. He got knocked out by Danny Garcia and looked like **** in his fight against Julio Diaz yet he's calling out Mayweather and Pac? Cmon man.
Devon is calling out THURMAN so he can earn a shot at Mayweather. He's not calling out Mayweather by beating Soto Karrass. Where are you getting this from?
LOL i know that's what I was thinking. I never said anything about Devon fighting Mayweather. This guy is a real Khan fan boy i see.
counter punching itself isnt what manny has problems with. if that was the case, tim bradley would have won twice. he has problems with guys who are counterpunchers who are willing to exchange with him
Bradley is not even a good counter puncher. He's average at best.
His style is to fight dirty. Let's face it, He was throwing rabbit punches most of the fight, headbutted Floyd and opened a cut, punched him in the nuts a few times, and held and hit him. He fought dirty and outweighed Floyd by 17 pounds on fight night and STILL lost. If i was Floyd, I wouldn't give him a rematch with his dirty tactics.
You have it backwards. Floyd is all wrong for Manny. Manny throws punches and leaves himself open. He can't beat a great counter puncher. Marquez is a very good counter puncher, but he's no Mayweather when it comes to counter punching. Also, Mayweather is 100 times the defensive fighter that Marquez is. Mayweather would have an easier time than people think against Manny. Bradley is not the best boxer in the world and gave Manny A LOT of trouble.
Back in the day a Boxer was wash up by age 34 take a look at Ali at age 37 he was shot but today we have Hopkins Maywaether Pacquaio Marquez The Klitchko brothers whats the deal here do they make better fried Chicken these days ? Everyone needs to stop playing stupid everyone boxing past age 34 is on Roids and HGH. Peoples training habits haven't improved so don't give me this bull crap cause the fighter of back in the day gave up 15 rounders some were hard fought and today we have a lot of these guys barley able to do 12 rounds even with Ariza Chino was a bit tired going into the 12 yet you had Duran Pryor Leonard Hagler ETC fighting 15 rounds like mad men. Salvador Sanchez was able to fight the 15th round like it was still the 1st round did he have steroid Pushers, like Conte Memo or Mayweather TRT Doctor did they Have Ariza No
The reason guys like Ali were washed up were because they fought better competition, more rounds (15), and fought way more frequently then the boxers of today. Also, nutrition is way more prevalent today than it was back then. I'm not saying that SOME of the boxers are not doing it the illegal way, but some are blessed to be in a totally different era.
I kind of put Barry Bonds and Juan Manuel Marquez in the same kind of category. Barry Bonds was a great player before steroids. Juan Manuel Marquez was a great fighter before steroids. They both saw their opposition blatantly cheating, and making millions more than them. McGuire and Sosa were no where near as good as Bonds, but they were roiding up and making millions the illegal way. Pacman was also roiding up and making millions while Marquez WAS at the time, doing it the right way. I also find it hilarious that Roach was complaining after Pac got knocked out cold. Before that, Pac and Roach said "It's the commissions job, let the commission do their job". Pac got what I like to call KARMA when he got knocked out by a roided up Marquez.
The immensely gay tension between donaire and walters...called each other amazing PERSON multiple times, hugged twice, etc. Then its lampley talking about GGG getting stretched out etc. What happened out there?
I thought you were referring to Lampley basically pulling down GGGs pants and slobbing his knob.
Yeah he for sure looks either crazy from brain damage, someone with brain damage, or someone that just has mental issues. He doesn't look like he used to. He has crazy eyes.
Yeah he's trying to save face. If he REALLY wanted to fight at least he should of gotten up on his feet while holding his shoulder. He kept shaking his head no and pounding the canvas and holding his shoulder like he was mad that he couldn't continue. He NEVER once said that he wanted to fight. When I seen him on the floor I told my friend he would look for a way out of the fight and I figured he'd fake injury. It wasn't like he fell right on his shoulder. Watch the reply he kinda breaks his fall when hes falling his arm was around Dawsons head and he also falls on his ass before then turns on his left shoulder. He wasn't hurt at all. He just wanted no part of Dawson. Dawson was too fast and fought too smart and Hopkins knew he was gonna look old in there tonight.
I agree with Dana 100%. I may not like Dana White that much but he's right about Bob Arum. The only dudes that are making money is the main event fighters. The undercard guys are making peanuts.
LMAO yeah ok TROLL. Floyd was schooling him and he couldnt hit Floyd. He was frustrated that's why he headbutted Floyd. You know it and everyone else knows it. Look at his eye. That **** was swollen and blue and it was only the 4th round.
Well that really depends on Ortiz. If he's gonna go balls out like he did against Berto then I believe he'll get KOed. He makes alot of mistakes and lunges in with alot of his punches. But I have a feeling once he feels Mayweathers power and sharp punches he's not gonna fight the way he fought against Berto. People underrate Mayweathers power. He has very good power and can knock you out if you jump in on him. That's why alot of people don't rush in on him. Hatton was the only one that did that and look what happened to him. I believe once Ortiz starts getting tagged he's gonna revert to running around like he did against Peterson and old man Nate Campbell. He'll be happy to go 12 rounds with Mayweather. It's a win win for him.
Why would it be? It's all entertainment and it would be a great little subplot if Rios and Garcia accompanied Floyd to the ring. I'm actually looking forward to seeing if they really do accompany him to the ring. I can't wait for this Saturday.
Plain and simply put... Ortiz is a mental midget. He's very unstable. Garcia called it a while ago when he said Ortiz is weak minded. Even Brandon Rios said it that Mayweather will put pressure on Ortiz and he'll fold. Ortiz was looking for a way out of the fight without quiting again. He knew if he would of quit AGAIN then his career would have been over for good.
No its not. Touching gloves like that is an act of submission. You can look at past fights and see. Look at Winky Wright vs Trinidad. He was beating Trinidads ass and Trinidad kept touching his gloves after the rounds. Look at Mosley vs Pac. There are numerous fights you can use as an example.
He quit when he did the flying headbutt to Mayweather. He was looking for a way out of the fight just like Mike Tyson was looking for a way out of the Holyfield fight.
Yup, Why go to touch gloves. This is a FIGHT. You touch gloves before you fight and then at the end you can hug and touch gloves. Ortiz is a mental midget.
I think you Pacman Koolaid drinkers are HOPING that Floyd slowed down. Even if he did slow down he wouldnt move against Pac. That's EASY work. He'll come with the high guard and tattoo that little midget.
They're very annoying. And they ALWAYS position themselves so that they're wherever the camera is gonna be. Like when they were standing behind Michael Buffer when he was making the announcements.
Merchant doesn't know **** about boxing just like the Pac fans. Merchant only likes boxers that will get punched in the face and have no defense. If a boxer actually BOXES like he's supposed to then Merchant doesnt like him. He's biased as all hell especially against Mayweather.
He was getting broken down physically and mentally and pulled a Mike Tyson. Even before he threw that headbutt he was throwing punches and Mayweather blocked all them and was laughing at him then he got pissed and launched his big head into mayweathers chin. Karma is a ***** isnt it Ortiz?
I watched most of the fight. It was on NBCSports so i had to record it. Chambers won that fight but they were fighting in Jersey and that's like Adameks backyard. Chambers pulled a muscle in his left arm in the very first round and was basically fighting with only his right hand the rest of the way and STILL won the fight. Adamek was throwing more punches but they were hitting gloves and just plain missing. One judge even scored it 119-110. PATHETIC
I'm not a big fan of government getting involved in everything but they should get involved in Boxing. The promoters and sanctioning bodies are a bunch of snakes and swindlers. Bob Arum is one of the biggest snakes going and only cares about Bob Arum. The fans are held hostage because of this guy. Look at all the fights lately. Top Rank fighter vs Top Rank Fighter. We the fans can't get the fights that we want. I think the government should step in and clean boxing up. It can't get any worse then how it is at the moment. It's truly pathetic.
Lets be honest. Garcia was picked to make Khan look good. Goldenboy was thinking that Garcia was tailor made for Khan. He didnt have the fastest hand speed, Didnt have the fastest foot speed, wasn't the biggest puncher, doesnt move his head much either. Khan might be in the top 5 when it comes to hand speed but he relies too much on it. He still makes an awful amount of mistakes that a 25 year old shouldn't be making. He doesn't move his head hence the reason Garcia didn't have to even look while throwing that left hook. He knew where Amirs head would be because Amir doesn't move it. Same thing with Martinez vs Williams. Martinez didnt even have to look because Paul doesnt move his head either. Also Amir jumps in way too much leaving his head straight up in the air to be countered. I told my friend from the very first round that Garcia might stop Khan because he was punching with him and he did hit him with some good solid shots from the very first round but HBO bias commentary wasn't giving him ANY credit for those punches. Only Kellerman was mentioning that Garcia hit Khan with a few good counters.
