Maidanas style ?

if only garcia would of gotten to him sooner. i belive marcos has improved on almost everything. good jab, headmovement, the way he cuts the ring is great too. the only thing i would work on if i was him is his stamina.

I have been giving this a lot of thought He is not a just brawler, he is not just a stalker, not just a puncher. To be honest I have never seen anyone with a similar style. What do you think ? Maidana fits no cookie cutter style term, but I consider him a boxer-brawler with 1 punch KO power, as designed by Team Garcia.

He's a strong, crafty, awkward, volume punching, defensive, tough, effective brawler. He makes adjustments, believe it or not.

And this is why I dont understand people comparing him to Marg. Marg is a straight up come forward brawler who Floyd would outbox unlike Maidana who is crafy, awkward and fast footed. Maidana would beat Marg too. I disagree about what you said about Floyd beating Marg. Marg would punch with you unlike Madina who cant do that because of his chin. there is reason why he didn't fight paul or margs . unlike other fighter Floyd has fought he cant go by if he does move A I can do move B to counter. That does not work on guys like Marg and Paul .Reason Martinez took it to Paul and Mosely took it to Margs same with Pac you can outboxing them all you want but in the end they will be there punching to the end

i initially thought he was too slow for floyd but his awkward stance and his unpredictable attacks were his biggest weapons in that fight. floyd had a hard time trying to figure him out...the weird angles baffled him. another fighter that could pose the same problems for floyd imo is shawn porter. if the maidana rematch doesn't happen, porter would be a good matchup for floyd.

His style is to fight dirty. Let's face it, He was throwing rabbit punches most of the fight, headbutted Floyd and opened a cut, punched him in the nuts a few times, and held and hit him. He fought dirty and outweighed Floyd by 17 pounds on fight night and STILL lost. If i was Floyd, I wouldn't give him a rematch with his dirty tactics. Mayweather tried to force a pair of Grant gloves on this guy just a day before the fight and rejected gloves that even the commision themselves approved. An utterly deplorable, gutless move. A cheater and his fans are in no position to be crying about unfair tactics.

Protect yourself at all times. Floyd always fights dirty - the headbutt wasn't anybody's fault and Floyd held more. The score is debatable. The judge who scored it a draw has a better track record than the other two. Chino says he'll give Money a rematch.

1 thing I've noticed he seems to have ditched the uppercut, he had big success against Khan with that, and he hit Floyd with 1, he needs to bring that back

Lol he's got a very South American style. Reminds me of Carlos Maussa a bit, but with some Mexican polish.

He doesnt seem like a bad guy but as his cousin said, he would fight the devil if you put it in front of him. His style is sometimes confused with mindless brawling but he's pretty smart and at times very skilled, he had some of those moments against Karas, even against Floyd where he avoids a bunch of punches and then lands some bombs of his own. The skill is there, just wish Robert Garcia had been training him since day one.
