there isn't enough mma fighters, just look at the ufc all there matches are rematches... at one point it won't sell any more in my opinion there isn't enough good mma fighters that's what will kill the sport it's going to be like k-1 the old guys will just be too good for the new comers.
i'm gonna do a quick resumé about mma all the tops arent in any particular order just the best
HW division top5 : fedor, crocop, nog, barnett, sylvia, arlovsky.. (jus cuz they were ufc champ)
arlovsky and sylvia faught 3 times...
fedor faught crocop and nog(2times) crocop faught barnett(2times) and nog
LHW division top10: shogun chuck silva nog arona tito rampage, i can only think of them...
shogun faught arona rampage nog
chuck faught tito rampage
silva faught rampage(2x) arona(2x) and tito
tito faught rampage chuck silva
rampage faught shogun silva(2x) chuck
arona faught silva(2x) shogun
there is already more matchup but still not any more between the best fighters cause of their orgs or team Shogun wont fight silva
Shogun and silva can't fight chuck and tito...
the only few possible matchups : tito vs chuck, rampage vs chuck, rampage vs tito... ( tito and rampage are friends dunno if they would fight each other...)
Silva vs nog....
it's pretty much the same in each division with a fewer more fighters in the lower ones but still like you can see there is only a few matchups lefts and the new guys are too weak to hang with the old ones
i was reading at david tua's forum there s a poster who "knows" him well, and said that tua wouldn't go under 240lbs... let's hope tua did like HE said that he was going to train again just after his fight and that he stayed in shape and that at each fights he will drop a little weight until he reaches his optimal weight! this guy's prob is just weight!
he never faced a knock out artist and always outweights his opponents 70-100lbs when he will face some one that can hit hard all this beast from the east bullsh** is going to be some past
he used to really fight for money back then in hong kong there is very little footage of his fights, it's been said he was undefeated from what i seen he owned 2 or 3 guys (not at ounce), there is footage of him sparring with other jeet kundo guys it's kinda like watching RJJ he's just like 3 time faster then all of them...
for me p4p is about skills, and skillwise valuev is not p4p and will never be he got gifts decisions in germany.. wait till he fights some one that can actually punch!
if you have hard knuckles dont mean you hit hard, karate punches aren't like boxing punches, karate has only straight punches if i'm not mistaken karate punches travel from the waist to the target, so basicly if a karate guy would fight a boxer he would get hit 20times before throwing one punch or get countered like crazy
boxing... getting punched in the face for 12 rounds nothing can be worst than that in MMA there are no knock downs, while in mma any time a fighter gets knocked down the fight is kinda over in boxing the fighter can stand up and come get some more till the ref steps in
about denzel i dont think 2pac maybe not but some dude of the rap group the OutLawz thats why he got the outlawz tatoo on his fore arm i think he s related to one of the group members
boxing is getting bigger and bigger in Europe there is like a camp in Germany that recruits all the top boxers from all europe to train them like professionals, Americans have more problemes of lazyness and things like that once they get millions of dollars their motivation certainly changes...
well well David Tua never tryed to stay in shape and learn new boxing skills just buy staying in shape he could move quicker and have more opportunity to land his punches instead of that he comes in overweight and move/punch slowly and loose/draw/SplitDec very lesser opponents... i really hope he makes a sucessfull comeback i won't put any hope in him unless he is under 230 over he will suck just like he did in his last bouts
