Guessing you'd still be seeing the die hard fans, but I doubt the conversations would be quite as pathetic as this forum averages. People weren't so spoiled and idiotic back then.
Many more BOXING fans as opposed to BOXER fans back then.
I scored it 8-4 for Marquez, same scoring after watching it 3 times. He's my favorite fighter but I did try to look at it as unbiasedly as possible. I can't see how this is anything but a robbery. For the record, I completely agree that their first fights could have gone either way, but not this one.
jmm couldnt knock out pac for **** all he did was ride his bicycle while he had every answer in his book for every pac's move and that wasnt even enough for him to completely dominate pac
it was his fight to lose not pac and he completely blew it:owned2:
The only thing Marquez blew was the load of every boxing fan in the world who isn't an illiterate troll, like yourself. At his age and this weight he performed something that a true boxing fan will remember for a long, long time. Amazing win as a huge underdog who was given no chance at all. He was a money making scheme to make Pacquiao/Mayweather an even bigger fight and threw that bull**** back in their faces. You mad.
that cus JMM figured out every one of pac's moves while it wasnt the same for PAC... he knew wat pac would do before pac would execute it
yet pac outpointed him, how did JMM not be able to win the fight by a landslide shutout victory when he has that gift of being able to see pac telegraph his moves? why didnt he use that to knock out pacquiao? he couldnt, he failed, he knows all he is ever will be is some backpeddler and he doesnt deserve to be rank next to pacquiao
i give him credit for solving pacquioa but thats it, hes the same guy who lost to chris john
You just won the dumbest post of the day award. Congratulations
All I know is that he attempted to use them against Mosley. There's no solid evidence that he's ever actually used them, nor is this even remotely similar to the type of loaded gloves that Billy Collins was getting hit by. It's a huge exaggeration of reality being perpetuated by Cotto fans and the media looking for some free cheers. Arum is pretty much the only person that said anything factual there. He's biased for Margarito and a stain on the sport, but his proposition was unbiased unlike the commentators who were screaming guilty guilty with circumstantial evidence -- that thing that Lampley went out of his way to say holds weight in court when about 99% of cases are dropped when relying solely on it.
Way to hear what you wanted to hear. Lampley said there are alot of murder convictions based entirely on circumstantial evidence, and thats true. Kellerman raised good points to.
Margarito either; 1) Knew he had illegal wraps in the mosley fight or 2) Didnt know. If he didnt know, that begs the question of how would he know he didnt use them prior to the mosley fight. And yes, he does act like a criminal about all this. And lets not forget a simple fact about the commision b.s., they were not paying attention...THEY WERENT EVEN THE ONES TO DISCOVER THE ILLEGAL WRAPS.
Margarito hasnt done sh!t since plaster has been taken out of his gloves. He was beat down by mosley, fought a bum in mexico, took a beating from pacquiao. Whatever happened to the power, the man everybody was avoiding?
It doesn't matter what word he used. You obviously need to be convicted to end up in court, so it's kind of a moot point.
Margarito speaks English as his second language. From the start he's either answering questions he loosely understands at best or ones being diminished through translation. Who really knows on that one. I'd say the video of him playing around with a brick or something being taped to his hand isn't evident of much, I'd probably do the same even in innocence. Take negativity and make a joke out of it and all that. I'm not saying the guy is innocent, but I won't be one of those sheep in the crowd cheering at commentators playing the role of executioner.
For his power, I don't think he ever had all that much? He has a 60% KO rate and beat Cotto from breaking him down. He barely punched against Mosley, so how could that indicate anything about his power? And Pacquiao was just too quick for him.
I completely agree man. BUT the warnings were the kind of "hey don't do this" as opposed to the hard "one more time and you get one point taken away!!" kind of warnings.
This isn't elementary school man. I'm pretty sure boxers understand the concept of a referee. Chances are if he's telling you not to do something, you shouldn't keep doing it.
Been saying from the start that Bradley dominates Khan handily. If they fight, it'll happen. Khan isn't near solid enough to handle Bradley for 12 rounds.
Ducking? Please. I'll admit Bradley passed on a good opportunity, but for whatever reason it was, he definitely wasn't afraid of Khan. Nobody is afraid of Khan, lol.
lol im guessing youre a bradley fan, this is boxing bro and he ducked a fight after running his mouth , bradley's character just took a huge pr hit by this and if he thinks he deserves a 50/50 deal than he's been smoking too much green with cassamyor.....
I'm a fan, though not a huge one. Why wouldn't he deserve 50/50? Khan's resume is less impressive, plus he has an embarrassing loss.
Bunch of little kids acting like immaturity or "punking" is somehow impressive in the real world outside of high school. Bradley doesn't have the mental capacity of a 13-year-old girl, so he managed to ignore it without throwing a fit. You know, like what adults do.
I can't wait for this fight to be made, and it will eventually. Con gets destroyed.
What's with all the boring talk? Most people are boring. Fact of life. He's a boxer, not a damn movie star, he's obviously not going to have that fake Hollywood charm that you see on Conan day after day. Aside from his act from selling fights, that's just who he is. I honestly think he's a cool dude when he's being himself.
I'm all for Martinez, dude is the real deal, but come on. Cotto has fought so much amazing talent that anyone calling him a duck is just a hater and an idiot (not necessarily including Martinez since in all likeliness he's just taunting him to get some bills).
Martinez beats him though.
I have no problems with him, but he's definitely green and unproven (and you look like a fool trying to spin it otherwise), but that's not too bad of a thing at this point in his career.
FACTS about Floyd Mayweather:
- ghetto scum criminal (no)
- if he wasn't a boxer, he would be a crackhead junkie (unlikely)
- beats up women (exaggeration)
- disrespects the elderly (dramatizing)
- cowardly sucker punches (yes)
- blatantly ducked Pacquiao and every other threat (arguable)
- coward (no)
- pussy (no)
- bitch (yes... wait, no)
- punk (so what?)
- homo (doubtful, but why do you care?)
- ducker (possible)
- cheater (not technically)
- racist (who knows)
- borderline retarded (incredibly unlikely)
- disgrace to boxing (no more than the two brothers in your avatar)
Am I missing anything?
How can anyone support this gutless ghetto trash coward?
You're a racist.
Legal punch, sure. Ortiz headbutted him, right.
Still cheap and pathetic, much more than a headbutt that may or may not have been on accident. It looked pretty intentional, but Ortiz hasn't really fought dirty in the past and sometimes people do stupid, spontaneous things. What Floyd did wasn't spontaneous. He baited Ortiz out of a defensive stance, took advantage of a stupid referee and did one of the most disgusting things I've seen in boxing for years. All this legal punch, eye for an eye crap is just an excuse. That was pitiful sportsmanship, and he should have been DQ'd.
