19 of 26 threads on page 1 are about Wilder-Fury and 2 others are about an undercard fight. Boxing Scene has caught the fight hype bug.
What else can we talk about? Adonis Stevenson? :D
Please PM me a method of how you all are watching the fight. Is there is a dazn type service? Love and light
Next morning in a tiny window on Youtube. :(
He's not a former Golden Gloves boxing champ I'm pretty sure. Unless that's some other tournament named like that - like Golden Gloves of Croatians fighting in U.S who are named Stipe.
Good MMA fighter though!
He was born in Ohio and was Cleveland Golden Gloves champ. :)
We can go all the way back to Max Schmeling vs. Jack Sharkey in 1930 where Sharkey threw a low blow and put Schmeling out of action, resulting in Sharkey being Disqualified, and being the first man to lose the heavyweight title by DQ! Why wasn't Crawford DQ the same way and is it time for the decision to be overturned retroactively...?
The rules have changed since 1930. Draw (4 rounds). Do you ever even watch boxing?
Btw before anyone complains, this is quite normal...it even has a name in the legal world. It's called the battle of forms.
Battle of the Forms, the only fight we're getting right now.
Serious question, why does Fury have to fight Whyte? I remember Fury said he'd fight Whyte as one of his last 3 fights or something? But why? Why not fight AJ and call it a career. Or Wilder had he lost or had it been close but there's no need to fight Wilder for the rubber!
I think Whyte was reinstalled as the WBC mandatory for next year.
Before this thread gets ugly, I want no mention of AJ.
He is after all, Britains#4 HW of ALL FCKING TIME. That's legend status in a country
tbf, until Lennox all our heavyweights were s***.
According to today's British press he has already exercised his clause and has begun training for the fight. Dunno if it's 100% true or not. Apparently Usyk wants for the rematch to be in the Ukraine and will likely get his wish.
Heavyweight Prospects - their planned Career path

2022 - Top ten ranking
2024 - Win vacant World title
2028 - nothing here..
2032 - Win "Step Up" fight (by robbery) to go 67-0
2033 - Retire, to protect Legacy
The purse bid date should be set today. We'll find out more info as the fat yanks awake soon.
They won't have anything useful to say when they do awake. They'll just grumble something about Joshua as usual.
The dumbest defense in all of boxing is "what has (insert name) done to earn a shot"
And then request their guy fights someone that has done even less than (inserted more proven name)
Are you arguing with yourself? This is literally what you have been saying the whole time in this thread.
The best option for AJ is a guy that doesn't stand a chance? There is no tougher option?
You have a really low opinion of American heavyweights don't you...
No not saying that at all.. I have no idea because Ortiz is unproven. What I am asking is this, who is the highest ranked opponent out of these 3
Whyte
Ortiz
Miller
Boxrec has it Whyte(#4), Miller(#6), Ortiz(#8).
Lol WHAT?!?!?! first this has NOTHING to do with America, tf.
Second you're so confused on the convo you have me confused.
You can Try reading the thread topic and then my 2 replies if you want to get on track.
Umm, isn't the guy Joshua is fighting America's 2nd highest ranked Heavyweight? Now I'm confused as well. Maybe you should try to think of someone Joshua can fight instead that isn't already fighting someone or he hasn't already beaten, then we can compare that person against Miller.
https://www.fite.tv/video/vegas-have-wilder-as-favorite-vs-ant/2owoh/
If you freeze the video at 2:46 it says:
"Joshua -205"
"Wilder +165"
Which I'm pretty sure means Joshua is a 1-2 favorite and Wilder a 16.5-10 outsider. You definitely shouldn't take up gambling anyway.
