The good news, is that thanks to my own thread and possibly others, we now have updated fighter icons on the top tabs.
The bad news? There seems to either be a horrible mistake, or there was a deliberate BoxingScene agenda driven decision to add Wilder, a lesser fighter, a less popular fighter, a less significant fighter, and a non-champion, as opposed to the HW kingpin Tyson Fury.
Let's be clear, I don't have a problem with Wilder as a boxer, I actually like him, but let's use common sense here: If you are only adding one HW fighter to the tab, it has to be Fury. Heck if both were on the tabs, it wouldn't be as much of an issue, but it's inconsistent, and it's nonsensical. It's like if they replaced Floyd in the old set with someone like Devon Alexander. It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
My theory? BoxingScene staff have let their bias, and agenda show here. The only conceivable reason I could see for adding Wilder is that he is based out of the USA, and this (most likely) is a USA based site, but that's not good enough of a reason. In fact, it's pathetic.
Let me also remind you that I am not British, so there is no agenda from my part.
Let the people speak!
I say we use this unofficial petition to make things right.
BoxingScene / NSB has to maintain objectivity and be free of biases, or it will quickly lose credibility and respect, and as a long time member of this proud community, and what I consider the undisputed boxing site of the world, it's time to make a stand. A stand for what's right.
What say you!?
I voted yes based on fury won that fight and is actually more known even in the U.S. I do think the unified champion should be the face but B scene has to stick to its own rules so ,I guess its a WBC thing which then fury should be put on it and probably will anyway in the rematch ,these forum guys are a bit off at everything they should have put him on after Wlad...wow 2 year thread......Ha
:haha: Been trying to keep them honest for that long. The ones before that were up for years, was sad to see cats like ODLH get taken off, and we had a huge thread about it I made which influenced a switch, but they threw Wilder up there, back then, I was like nah G, that's not it. I also wasn't a mod yet, know I might be able to influence change at an even greater level than before, like when obi Wan went down in the death star.
It's time REDEEMER gets redirected to the actual megathread on this topic, not Frankie2Jabs weak bait effort about the irrelevant IBO and paper champ AJ.
Three of those depicted have now been beaten, two of them unofficially.
Choco should have been yanked off there a LONG time ago.
:haha:
you ain't lying.
Fury isn't just a better heavyweight, he's a better role model. Deontay smiled when the draw was revealed, he knew he lost. I guess you can't fight the machine, though...can't really go against the grain, so I can't hate on Wilder for rolling with the punches. A real man would admit he lost and vow revenge in the rematch, not pretend he did enough while his nuthuggers revise history
the fight was close are you of the opinion fury dominated wilder?
Fury should be on there over Wilder.
But while we're at it I think Golovkin should be replaced with Kovalev. He has a much better resume and is thus more deserving
lmao kovalev???? wow
It's one thing to break a rule. It's another to pretend you won, knowing you lost. Sends a twisted message. Very sure.
I admire his performance vs Wilder after the layoff. Very impressive. It's just your saying he's a role model is troubling. In addition to the nandrolone and other drugs, he's made racist, ****phobic, antisemitic rants.
Hmmm.
You sure?
What about the charge of Nandrolone re Tyson and Hughie?
That Tyson said was from eating "a wild boar that had not been castrated."

They never update those tabs ever. It'll still be the same guys in 10 years time.
Bruh I made this thread right after the last update, wasn't that long ago lol.
