One of the main reasons low blows are illegal is that they can end a fight quickly or render the opponent unable to fight effectively for a prolonged period of time. If Khan had been the one to hit Crawford with an undeniably illegal shot which rendered Crawford unable to continue is it inevitable that Khan would have been disqualified by the American ref?
We can go all the way back to Max Schmeling vs. Jack Sharkey in 1930 where Sharkey threw a low blow and put Schmeling out of action, resulting in Sharkey being Disqualified, and being the first man to lose the heavyweight title by DQ! Why wasn't Crawford DQ the same way and is it time for the decision to be overturned retroactively...?
Crawford's scrotum...i mean thigh, would have exploded and everyone in the arena would have died from the shrapnel. That's what would have happened. The referee and the commissioners would have been dead.
It was just an accidental low blow and it landed on the leg not the balls. Khan was losing and getting beat up every round and he found a way out of the fight so he quit. He could have easily continued but he quit. You keep talking as if this was the hardest most deliberate low blow i the history of boxing and this must be about your 5th thread on the matter. A few die hard Khan fans may agree with you. Most know the low blow was an accident and Khan was not hurt much and could have continued. Khan knew Crawford would continue to beat him up so he quit.
fighters are not typically dq'd for accidental low blows or in cases where they are given time to recover and then continue. you have up to five minutes to recover. after that point you are expected to fight. if you don't you lose by tko. cups are made of iron and if they're fit properly they should protect you from any real damage / injury. still gonna hurt like a mfer LUL.
khan was given the five minutes to recover. his corner stopped the fight when they knew he didn't want to continue. he was getting his butt kicked and had no chance. they preserved him and probably let him get another fight or two in before he gets too punchy.
He was given up to five minutes to try to recover but his corner waved the fight off. That's why it's a TKO. It's not that he was unable to continue from an accidental foul (which would be a no contest or technical decision) or an intentional foul (which would be a DQ).
His corner stopped the fight. He was done. The low shot from Crawford just gave the corner the break in the action they needed to stop the fight.

The rules have changed since 1930. Draw (4 rounds). Do you ever even watch boxing?
Take a deep breath, relax, sit down and watch the fight. It was an embarrassing beat down and Khan saw a chance to avoid being knocked unconscious and quit. I can't blame him for that The fight was a mismatch from the moment Khan signed the contract.
