Who do you think is the best heavyweight prospect right now ?
Who has the most potential ?
Briefly explain why.
You can rank them from one to six.
You can also add any other prospect worth keeping an eye on.
Hrgovic imo followed by dubois.
those picking ajagba are smoking some good stuff :lol1:
If this poll was redone Dubois would definitely have more votes than Ajagba.
Efe Ajagba, Daniel Dubois, and Filip Hrgovich will be the last three standing when the smoke clears. Between those three, my money's on Ajagba.
Agree with that list though I think Ajagba needs some more training and experience. Basically, I do not think he is ring-smart yet but he is the most powerful of them IMO.
With the right training, Ajagba will be the next champ followed closely by Dubois (also needs experience and diversity). Hrgovich looks more professional of them (to me) but I don't think he can take the power of Ajagba and survive for much.
Biggest difference at heavyweight is going to be the smaller gloves and lack of headgear. Lots of HW’s have good amateur runs and when they turn pro they discover they have no jaw (David Price and Audley Harrison come to mind)
Yea I agree chin means a lot at heavy.Thats why I say any heavy who has a GREAT chin and GOOD power can compete with best maybe not beat all the best but with just those two things they can compete.Finding guys with iron chins(Mercer) are getting harder to find since most now are 240-250pds+.
I agree he's unfairly overlooked just because people are sour about some of the shady decisions he received in the ams. His technique is very smooth and he's a good gameplanner. I slightly prefer Hrgovic but Yoka is my #2 of those listed
Ajagba and Dubois are way rawer than the others. They could be awesome, they could be complete duds. Can't say yet
That is exactly what it is...but the same thing happened for AJ as well especially during his olympic gold medal run :dunno:
Give me Yoka!
Somehow the Gold Medal Winner with wins in the Amatures/Olympic wins over most of these guys is the most underrated of this Group but he is the most athletic and most SKILLED OVERALL of that group IMO :dunno:

Most top AMs become top pros or maybe most top pros were top AMs.Anyways your right its not a guarantee some guys you can just see don't have pro styles but have been good AMs.Yoka at 1st I thought he was the later very athletic but seemed to be lacking power and looked lost inside. Then I think it was his last before "his break"that he seemed to holding his feet better and showed some snap.Hope he turns out along with all the rest the more the merry for sport.ESP HEAVY'S

Can you imagine what Efe would have done to the Joyce that fought Stiverne?
Not a damn thing...……..Stiverne would have left like the guy did up here.JK could not resist
Amateurs is a completely different beast.

Im not sure yet I like DuBois age he has plenty of time to improve.Yoka has great size and is maybe the most athletic but still raw(as he and rest should be)Efe I might pick if they all fought now he is athletic too and can punch and most Africans have a good chin.(its not racist im colorblind esp with boxing).Really a lot of good heavy prospects Joyce is stiff but seems heavy handed and takes a good shot but slow and not much defence. But you can go a long way at heavy with just a great chin and a good punch. He might be the Mercer of this era he turned pro late too.Look forward to see how they all turn out more the better for sport.I love prospects.
