When I say Wilder has no skill and horrible technique, he sucks, Wilder fans don't insult me
However when I say AJ is limited, mediocre at best I am overwhelmed with the baseless insults I receive back. Some times the animosity continues for weeks.
So the question is, do Wilder fans have more class?
Lol my bad. Not you bro. You're would as fck.. I mean the hardcore of EVERY fan base I mention. Being a fan isn't bad. You're right. I should clarify
We are cool, bro. Carry on!
And I agree AJ is an average boxer.
You should qualify your classification of Davis fans. Not all Gervonta fans are like that. Maybe you ran into some of his "new" fans!:lol1:

Maybe your dead on. I just have been fortunate enough not to run into ugly Americans regarding wilder. Lol NOW tank Davis a completely different story. I compliment Loma in a Loma thread, in come some pro Tank guys.

Now see I don't think AJ is mediocre. I favor him in a match-up with Wilder. AJ may be the kind of boxer that doesn't do anything excellently but does everything well.
Take a couple of your points earlier. Does he move particularly well? No, but he uses smaller steps to position himself well. He moves better front-to-back than he does laterally. So yeah, he doesn't look graceful like Ali or even Fury but he's really good about keeping his weight on his toes and keeping his feet aligned to his opponent. The fundamentals are there even if the flash isn't.
His is defense great? Again, he's not flashy but he moves his head enough just not to get caught flush (usually). He's really good about keeping his hands up and getting those long, big arms in the way of opposing punches. Of course, that's how I'd attack him - feint to the head and work the body. There's no doubt he can be tagged but defensively he's not terrible.
I don't like that leading weak left hook that he throws. He leaves that punch out there, inviting someone to duck it and throw a hard right into his ribs. So he has flaws but I think he's just one of those guys who does a lot that is better-than-average. That, and excellent conditioning, can take you a long way in this sport.
But to listen to the eur0trash, AJ is the best thing ever and Wilder is the worst champion of all time who can't carry AJ's jock. When I hear people like that I just give their opinion the proper consideration of which it deserves - none. None of the guys out there - Wilder, Fury or AJ - are proven enough for us to really know if they could be considered even very good, never mind great.
^^^^^this is what I come here for! Much love and respect bro. ...i have no rebuttal. Need more of this. I'm sure w anyone would appreciate it.
Yeah. I just want to talk boxing. My opinion is aj is Mediocre. They feel different tell me what he does better than average. Lol. They can't or at least they dont

Exactly, AJ fans get way too defensive over it. The HW division is filled with flawed fighters, especially technically. Least skilled division in boxing IMO

That's how I see it. I'm not saying the man is WITHOUT skills. I mean obviously compared to a none pro althlete. But when compared to his peers his talents lacks and his skills are minimal. He doesn't do any one thing great. But he is fundamentally sound. And that combined with the attributes you mentioned are enough to carry him to the top. But the HW division is shallow. Wilders attributes are enough to carry him to the top

-Slow feet
-Zero head movement
-Limited punch variation
-Leaky defence
He’s ok technically but his best attributes are based around his natural athleticism, speed, explosiveness and power etc.

AJ doesn't have skills though. hes superbly technicial. He doesn't have a slippery defense, good foot work, angles. He's literally a text book boxer as far as punching goes. What skills do you see he possess? And no disrespect. I would love to just chat with no
Insults. If ignorant to the topic, a bigger mans job would be to tech me.

That goes both ways. Joshua gets shyt for fighting Takam, Parker or Povetkin but, apart from Takam, they're better and more accomplished than anybody on Wilder's resume except Fury obviously. And yes, that includes the mythical Luis Ortiz too.
I don't want to get into this whole negotiations drama again. I've said thousands times on here that both teams are to blame and both did not want the fight. They were both posturing.
Obviously people who say Wilder was exposed by Fury shouldn't be taken seriously.
Who says he's special? Names please. He's a better fighter than Wilder and will most likely ice him when they meet but that's not a great accomplishment because Wilder can be beaten by 5-6 or more current heavies. Joshua has fight ending power, can throw decent (by today's standards) combos, has heart and decent ring IQ. But he's not special and I haven't seen anyone claim that he is except for juggernaut maybe.
Of course I have.
I'm not saying one fanbase is better than the other, I'm saying they're both ****.
We agree on all parts. I guess I'm guilty of thinking his hardcore fan base thinks he's special because I'm not allowed to critique him like I do others. So since they argue my realistic, simple critiques I would assume they they think he is above it.. And if he is above Being critiqued then they must think he is special. I could be wrong .

AJ fanboys are far more annoying. There are some incredibly deluded guys on both sides, I mean the idiots who say Wilder beat Fury are just as bad but overall the AJ fanboys are the worst, they just relate everything back to Wilder, they’re compulsively obsessed. It’s disturbing.
Now don't get me wrong. I do gravitate towards under dogs and people being hated on for no reason. I was arguing with darkseid over LeBron James and I don't watch basketball much. But i know lebeon isa great talent and getting undeserved hate.
Now with wilder, A LOT of his resume can be and should be critiqued harshly and it's warranted. But bashing his oppents coming off of surgery is unfair. I stand up for it I would do the same for ANY boxer.
The negotiations: wilder did want to fight Aj last year and accepted his terms, but only rejected it once he found out they wanted to fight in April 2019.
No one Can say AT THAT TIME wilder was ducking. If Aj wanted to fight in 2018 the fight would have happened. I stood up for that because it's right.
I stand up for people saying wilder was exposed by Tyson. Wtf?!? Wilder was not exposed, wilder has been wilder.
I just want to know what is special about AJ, what his talents are. And I will unbiasedly watch some tape and educate myself. But from what I seen he doesn't deserve praise he's getting. Not from a boxer/skill stand point. Now of he is getting love because of his accolades then that's a different story

So you also seen the many negative threads made by the likes of ifc and Robbie about wilder
Of course I have.
I'm not saying one fanbase is better than the other, I'm saying they're both ****.
It has nothing to do with Wilder or AJ of course. There are bad fans on both sides. There's Eur0trash vs Ugly Americans.
Anyone who dares disagree with either runs the risk of suffering their impotent and inane wrath.

what a dumb thread.
Thank you for your input. I'm speaking from my personal experiences on here. If it doesn't include you or you can't relate im sorry for having a click bait title that mislead you to think the thread was about anything else.

He has beaten at least 2 Olympic games gold medalists.
To say he has no skill is ridiculous.
Gold medalist don't always transition well into pros and one of the ones he did beat was past it and never held a real title .
AJ fans are just more insecure, that's all. Don't know if you realized it already, but they have huge complex towards Americans. Winning against an American boxer means a lot more to them than the other way around.
