This is the biggest crock of chit I've ever seen. Joshua should be ashamed of himself for signing on to this farce.
This is probably big easy money for him. Cant blame Joshua.
I honestly think Vitaly would win.
He is awkward, taller and longer with power.
Most importantly Lewis cant hurt him and he knew it. Lewis knew that if he cant hurt Vitaly, he will be in deep waters later in the fight.
If the planned opponent is Danny Garcia, then by all means just rematch Porter.
This time, I hope Porter trains for punch accuracy. His output and gas tank is there but accuracy is his usual shortcoming.
Maybe less punch resistance?
I dont know if he'll be moving a lot despite this weight loss. He is not that type of a fighter. He has fast hands but relatively his feet are always planted.
Wilder will be more aggressive early on as compared to being outboxed most of the time in the first fight.
But Fury will surprise him with meaningful counters for a KO win.
Both have suspect chins.
But if Wilder and Joshua fights now, I favor Joshua based on two factors:
1) Level of competition - With just 20 fights or so, Joshua has faced much better competition. There is no need to elaborate on this.
2) Basic skills - I mean Wilder KOed a lot of his opponents but many are really just not good. But still some were able to outbox Wilder prior to KO. Ex are Washington, Spilzka, even Dehaupas and Molina. Bad news for Wilder is that Joshua is better and bigger than these fighters.
I think the Takam who lost to Joshua can KO Stiverne who just faced (and actually did not fight) Wilder.
Delusion level of Wilder fans is twice as much as Joshua's.
not gonna pretend i know anything about either of these guys, never watched them fight. apparantly cuadras gave gonzalez a hard nights work so i will give him the nod, cuadras close decision
IMO, Estrada gave Gonzalez a tougher fight in Gonzalez's own division. However, Estrada has been inactive lately due to hand issues and that could be a big problem for him.
Jacobs - length, size and power.
I already consider GGG as one of those small middleweights. Though he won, Jacob's length gave him some problems. Imagine a shorter Canelo.
Mikey Garcia would outclass Omar Figueroa
Probably but I am not counting out Omar Figueroa especially IF (VERY BIG IF) he trains seriously for this fight.
Figueroa is bigger, tough, and relentless. And I dont think Mikey can hurt him if they fight at 147lbs.
A good big man beats a good smaller man.
Rigo has skills but let us not ignore the fact Loma has it too. I think Loma has a more impressive amateur resume and he adjusted well to the pros (READ: skill+entertainment)
You do know Rigondeaux is the puncher here. Ho that plays out in this fight, remains to be seen
Puncher? Not at 130lbs and not at the rate he delivers his offense (which basically counter-punching).
More important question is can he handle Loma's activity?
I'm pretty sure Loma can hurt him but he cant hurt Loma (read: size advantage).
Loma would be his usual hyperactive self in there.
I thought Cuadras won majority of the first half but Estrada came back enough in the second half to edge out a close decision. The knockdown is key as the scorecards show.
I dont like Cuadras' way of escaping when pin on the ropes. He was literally running and I think it affects how judges view the fight. He should have a better way of doing that.
Re: compubox stats. Cuadras outlanded Estrada by what? 8 punches in a 12rd fight. That 8 punches may have occurred in a single round.
This doesnt have that much an effect as it did with Jacobs.
Remember, Canelo is still coming up from 155lbs. Despite what many believed, he wont have difficulty making weight and doesnt need extra hours to re-hydrate.
Ward would not even beat Breidis. These guys are big and not slow by any means. Any of those Ward physical tactics wont matter to them.
Remember when Breidis KOed a real HW in Charr with a single punch? Yes single punch KTFO.
Even fight for me. People treating Garcia as a god after that KO of Sclaticanin and decision win over Broner.
Guess what, Linares is different from those two.
I am not saying Linares will win but he has the tools to really bother Garcia.
