Mikey Garcia vs Omar Figueroa not Robert Easter?

Mikey Garcia would outclass Omar Figueroa Probably but I am not counting out Omar Figueroa especially IF (VERY BIG IF) he trains seriously for this fight. Figueroa is bigger, tough, and relentless. And I dont think Mikey can hurt him if they fight at 147lbs.

figueroa is garbage. a stationary target who would be target practice for mikey. I don't want to see it.

If this is not a title defense then i'd say give mikey time to decide if he's moving up for good and relinquish the title.

At what weight would this be contested at I know Figueroa can't get below 147. it is a decent enough fight and the Easter fight doesn't really need to happen next even if that would be nice (I think Garcia smashes him as Garcia is a much better boxer). I am just interested to see Mikey in the ring again against anyone really as long as they are good. Easter, Linares, Figueroa or any of those sorts of guys are all good competition for Mikey while he tries to find a truly big fight.

Mickey Mouse requested a extension with the WBC to fight Broner already! then Golden-boy conceded to Mikeys demands, namely excluding a multi-fight contract to make the unifcation title match with his MANDO Jorge Linares ; he turned it down after also turning down Cotto -- gave his reason a few days later saying the money with Easter was better....now this? As a result of this buffoonery by team Garcia we are getting Linares-Gesta and Garcia-Figeroa?! Suliman needs to strip this clown already! I'm sick of this sh*t! the sad part of this is he should be able to beat Linares and is dragging this out like hes scared -- this cant be true.

I see I'm the only one who likes this fight. All around action fight. Wow. To me, people like Mikey Garcia and George Groves are dinosaurs in boxing terms. They've been around like forever. I personally don't mind at all if Mikey from this point forward fights the best money fights he can get. Omar Figueroa is the more entertaining fighter than Easter. Not sold on Easter yet. Please make this fight at 140!

His brother said it about 3 weeks ago or more Omar Fig he even said he had NO IDEA why mikey did not go for GB deal because he said only other fight he heard about was Omar FIG.
