I am a confessed Pac fan, but more so a fan of Boxing!!!
PBF won this fight in a canter for mine. Yes Cotto showed heart but he never looked in control of the fight.
Having said that, get PBF and Pac in the ring! Get rid of Arum as he is just scared of losing another cashcow, Fight at Welter as I don't even think there should be supers or lights or whatever, have the blood tests up until 6 weeks (FOR BOTH FIGHTERS!!!!), build a temp stadium in LV, earn ****loads AND GIVE US WHAT WE WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of all time I would have to go with Dundee.
Most Underrated trainer would have to go to Johnny Lewis, the trainer of Jeff Fenech, Jeff Harding and Kostya Tzsyu
I've never see him fight, but Nader Hamden is a pretty handy boxer and he TKO12 him. Hamden's only other loss was a UD to IBF #1 Sam Soliman after putting Soliman down early in the fight.
Very average, and too many fans point to his name on their fav fighters resume to justify how good they are. Beating "Chop Chop" is no mean feat for a descent fighter.
I would wait until the "official" word that the comeback is dead. I find it hard to believe that Lewis would put himself out there like that. To say he wants to fight Klitschko again and needs the money, only to then say the comeback rumors are false is odd. He started the comeback rumors so it only falls on him.
The paper that apparently "broke" the story was a paper called the Daily Mirror which is a Tabloid paper in England. I would be more likely to believe Boxingtalks website than that particular publication.
Has it been confirmed that this Vann guy is the ref? I don't know much about him so I can't comment, but is this all speculation or has he been named as the ref?
I would rather see Zoo clean up the junior welterweight division. Fights with either Spinks or Judah do not interest me in the least. Lets see Zoo vs. PBF.
The only problem once again is the TV networks, whereas with Spinks and Judah there is no conflict.
PBF says he wants to go to welter anyway so what's the problem with KT fighting for the welter titles (which would be his last contracted fight with showtime) and then fight PBF at welter. If not he then has the choice of DLH.
pbf is an amazing fighter and after watching his fight last night i think he has surpassed b-hop for the p4p # 1 spot.
btw i bet that he is on the cover of the next years fight night(b-hop is this years)
So now beating journeyman and unknowns get's you the 1# spot on the pound for pound list. Wait why don't we give Johnson the No 1 spot because he beat Tarver and Tarver said he was the best. Better yet why don't we give it to Joe Calzaghe he has a record of 38-0 and is the WBO Supermiddle champ!
Give me a break. At least Hopkins fights half decent fighters instead of punching bags.
Im sick of hearing everytime that people like Cotto and Zoo are fighting, all you guys say is that how can they take that power, or how can they take those body shots, or that cant run the whole fight.
You guys never talk about the opponents offense. You never ask about how will Cotto or Zoo will handle the speed and pinpoint accruracy of Floyd or how will Cotto handle the slickness and toughness and the southpaw stance of Corley. You guys act like just because these guys are big that punches wont affect them or defensivley that they will never have any problems
You keep complaining about this and that but not once have you ever admitted that maybe PBF can be hurt by someone, the way you keep going on and on about how he is either not going to get hit or will just roll out of the punches is getting boring. Do you truly believe that if KT and PBF fight that PBF will not get hit with one clean shot the whole fight? I'm not saying that KT will dominate PBF and knock him out in 1 round. Personally I believe it would be a great fight and if one or the other is a little off their game it will decide the fight. What I am saying is in my OPINION, if both are fighting at close to their best KT has the right tools in a matchup of styles to land on PBF with clean shots, which at the weight they will have to fight at could be the undoing of PBF. We have all seen what KT can do when he lands those clean powerful rights (and his left hook is highly underrated) and I just believe that if he can land a few early, he will be able to slow PBF down and win the fight.
KT is one of the best boxers in the world at cutting off the ring and is also one of the most patient boxers in the world. True PBF loves to counter punch and is super quick. I think KT's best weapons are exactly what is needed to beat PBF. If he is patient and cuts off the ring well, he will put alot of pressure on PBF and force him into the corners. Once that happens, forgetaboutit, the power comes and it's all over.
I think that it depends on what weight div you are in! Obviously if you are a jnr welter the belt that you want is the IBF because the man that holds it is recognised as the true champ.
His resume isnt that impressive to me. Everyone sweats him and I think he is a good fighter but he is overated. Like I said Mitchell, and Judah havent beat anyone. Especially Mitchell. Chaves was old when they faught and he cleaned out the division but it was nothing compared to what it is now. He hasnt beat any of the new guys. Urkal gave him alot of problems. The division now has Harris, Gatti, Mayweather, Hatton, and Cotto. His resume is overated
How is KT overrated? He has fought everyone that has been put in front of him and beat them all, including avenging his one loss! He has never ducked anyone and has ruled his division for nearly 10 years. You claim that all these fighters would have beat him in their primes. How often have the true greats fought each other in their primes? It is your opinion that KT is overrated! And every other person who has questioned KT has had there mouth shut by him including many of the so called experts of boxing.
Just because he don't talk himself up like the other myths in the game dose not mean he is overrated! Cotto anyone?
I'll back KT to take out any of the names you mentioned if they don't all duck him by asking for unrealistic deals or hiding behind their TV contracts.
I'm hearin' you still talking that shit but none of your actions here are speakin' to me
I'm talkin' it, walkin' it, my stompin' style will stop your movement'
Hold up who's this? (aarrah!) Still leavin' you with cuts and bruises
So cut the bullshit before I rrrrock your face with a pool stick
IF Hatton is able to beat KT I don't think there is any doubt that he will gain respect as a boxer. I don't think you could put him up in the top 5 #for#, but he would definitly have to be classed as the top 140 pounder. If the fight goes to the cards and he gets a hometown decision, I think that Frank Warren and by default Hatton will lose all credibility and he will be forced to fight in the US, because KT would be the last person to go over there, Title or not.
Personally I feel that KT will win by late round stoppage, but win or lose I think he is going to 147.
C'mon, Judahs a good boxer, hes been robbed in the past based on his attitude, but how many of your favorite boxers are perfect people. I like Zab I hope to see him grow as a fighter I don't really care if hes a dick, take it to the ring.
Who did he get robbed against? And please don't say Spinks in the first fight or Kostya!
I seem to remember about 80% of "experts" also saying that Sharmba would be too good for KT and that the lay-off would hurt KT, and Sharmba will put to much presure on KT etc.................
This is going to be the BIGGEST moment in Hatton's life and he is basically stepping into the ring with a legend, whose power with the one punch Hatton is most susceptible too, has been demonstrated time and again. Nobody thinks that he may be a bit nervous and even cautious in the first couple of rounds?
I say this because if he does not come out with all guns blazing from the opening bell, he is going to get hurt, and real bad.
I think that if he does what alot of people seem to think he will and pressure KT from the opening bell it is his best chance to throw KT off his game. BUT, we are talking about one of the smartest, most gifted and patient boxers in the world today and if Hatton blinks or hesitates at all, this fight is not going to last long. Nobody is as clinical a finisher as KT.
In the 70's, it's called the GREAT WHITE HOPE. I think so far Wlad Klitschko has got what it takes to be the greatest white heavyweight boxer of all time. (Do we consider John Ruiz, who has been a title-holder for sometime now, a "white"?)
A number of white sluggers in the past also comes to mind. They provided life, excitement and top-caliber challenges in the black-dominated heavyweight division.
Joe Bugner
Tommy Morrison
Gerry Cooney
Duane Bobick
Henry Cooper
Jerry Quarry
George Chuvalo
Gerrie Coetzee
Chuck Wepner (who inspired the first Rocky movie)
Randy "Tex" Cobb
James "Bonecrusher" Smith
to name a few.
Who's the greatest white HW boxer of all time for you?
Can't believe you even posted this thread, especially with the names listed.
ROCKY MARCIANO. And by a very long way.
VK will never even come close.
zab's from the streets... and he will always have that mentality of being from the streets...
Just cause your from the streets is no excuse for not having respect for others, or for carrying on like a spoilt child. There are plenty of people in this world who have had it worse than Zab Judah who are more man than he will ever hope to be.
A story has just come out down here saying KT is still denying any negotiations have taken place. But for the money their quoting KT might be best served to go over and teach Hatton a few lessons. :D

If he takes the Tito fight and wins then he can make more money in the future. Tito Trinidad is the draw
Tito is nothing but a FORMER champ who beat blown up bum in his comeback fight. If he want's to keep making moneyfighting bums go ahead. Winky will know in his heart that he did the right thing and that's all that matters. If tito really believes that he is as good as all his fans think he is, prove it! X shut his mouth once and if he is man enough to give the fans what they want, who knows maybe Winky will as well
