Joppy was out jabbing Taylor until Taylor started to counter with power shots..... Hopkins Hasnt Fought A True Live Middleweight Since A Young Roy Jones...trinidad Isnt A True Middlweight ..if Thats What U Ppl Are Gonna Say

Hopkins will hands down beat Taylor because Hopkins and his team will be sure to get him ready for that fight. It's sheer briliance when I watch Hopkins fight at his best and only the best makes him fight his best. Too bad he doesn't fight the best. You always criticize me for being a DLH fan, but Hopkins is doing the same thing. Hopkins is fighting smaller fighters and building his reputation from that. Whats the difference between DLH-Ruelas and Hopkins-Trinidad?

Hopkins will lose to Roy Jones, even now with Jones getting ko'ed.

Taylor is one of my favorite fighters (overall), but I think putting him in with Hopkins now will have the same result as Vargas vs. Trinidad and Reid vs. Trinidad...just not quite ready and was never able to recover.

hop will execute eastman and then show taylor the ropes in a decision win. maybe in a few yrs taylor would pull of a decision or a ko. but not anytime soon. i have seen taylor struggle against lesser opponents then hop. 20 defenses aint easy.

I think people are underestimating Taylor he is young and learning really fast i think in a few fights he could be ready for bhop.

It doesnt really matter much who beat Joppy worse. Taylor is good and could be great one day, but Hopkins is great right now and would hand Taylor an azz whippin. Maybe in a couple years when Hopkins is in a walker.

Hopkins would whip Taylor like he was a son of his. Taylor's too green for him now. Taylor dominated Joppy only after Hopkins beat the hell out of him. There's alot of questions over Taylor that we all don't know. How well he reacts under pressure. What happens if he's in with a puncher & gets put on the canvas. Can he come from behind on the cards & win. Hops has a world of experience & has been in alot of tough fights & has come out on top most of the time. Could Taylor, it's yet to be seen & until he he gets into one of those fights I'm still saying Hops.

Taylor beat Joppy more soundly than Hopkins did. I think Taylor's stronger and faster than Hopkins. However, Hopkin's experience and intimidation factor, plus Taylor's respect towards Hopkins will play a big role in their match. I don't think it will happen though... Hopkins won't take that huge risk by facing Taylor at the last phase of his career.

It was his toughest fight.. it could well be the case, considering how full of shit roy jones has always been, but if i remember well, jones doesn't actually use the right hand a lot throughout the fight.

hopkins is to good for taylor..unless taylor fights him in 4 years...taylor is pretty overrated and doesnt have enough power to hang with the big boys taylor vs: sturm-gets jabbed to death and loses a UD tito-gets KTFO hopkins-get owned/schooled and ko'ed taylor is not ready for any of this...and evn at that he wont ever be that good for a couple of years. I say taylor gets put on his ass before he even makes it to the big money fights...he leaves himself open soemtimes and comes in to blindly at time also, he does have skills which if he improves will be a great champ someday

He only lost a VERY close decision to a prime Roy. VERY close as in 8 round to 4 (on all 3 scorecards)? prime Roy as in one handed Roy? apart from this I agree I think hopkins would beat trinidad and taylor if he fought today, but... 12 months from now is a long time when you are 40

Taylor is a very promissing fighter ineed but i don't think he would beat Bernard now at all. Bernard proved in the Oscar fight that he can box well or he can beat you down and i think thats what would happen to Taylor. Sadly the Middleweight division isn't the strongest out there except for a few fighters so it's hard to judge how good Taylor actually isbut as far as beating Bernard i don't think so. If their is one thing i have learned over the years of watching Bernard it is underestimating him in a big fight. I thought Tito would give him hell their fight and the opposite happened.
