Last night reminded me how great of a fighter Floyd is. I know he was just fighting Bruseles but still, that was a perfect performance. His defense is incredible he bearly got hit the whole fight, he bearly broke a sweat! I think there no question who the pound 4 pound king is a far as skill and talent. The question is who can beat him from 140-154? You can bearly hit this guy! Would Tyzsu even be able to hit him in the head?
I think Floyd at Mosley would be a perfect matchup. Both guys are fast and has boxing skills.
Dela hoya will beat Floyd. It is up to who will engage first. But I'm sure Dela Hoya will be the aggressive boxer. Floyd cannot attack DLH easily because DLH has a great jab and so fast.
PBF definitely needs to fight a big name real soon and get in the PPV arena. Right now, he's not bringing in the money fighting 2nd-rate fighters. He's getting more attention out of speculation on what he could do with the other popular fighters than what he's achieved. He's definitely got the talent but he won't get p4p no. 1 in my list until he proves himself with the host of great fighters out there, and stays off the brusselsprouts. It's time to bring in the elite in the menu.
Give Ricky Hatton time and he will show this guy how to really box.
I tend to agree.
Everyone is touting Kostya. He can be hit and relies on getting his right hand in to effect damage. I believe that Hatton is too hard a puncher for him and Cotto is definitely too strong for him.
At this stage, Cotto would come out the winner, all around!

Bearly break a sweat? Surely that only happens to grizzlies!
Oh sorry....You must have meant barely! LOL. :D
Floyd will only get stronger as he adapts to the new weight he wears his oppenenets down. He will go to the body early against Gatti and Ko, you can bet on that. As for Zoo everyone thinks he is unstopable since he puttin a hurting on mictchell. First of Mitchell is no wear near as fast as Floyd. Secondly, his defense is not great, floyds is the best. Also, floyd is an excellent counter pucncher. Yes, zoo hits real hard but Floyd does not have a glass jaw. He has been hit with some punches and been fine. I think Mitchell has more of a problem taking punches than Floyd. Anyway i think the fight will be close and anyone excepting a blow out will be sadly mistake as Floyd will be at his all time best for that fight.
Peace
Wether we love him or hate him, Floyd Mayweather's talent cannot be denied. Many people thought he was too small, or not strong enough, or just a punk. Then he fought and shut us all up.
Many people thought Corrales was too big and too strong, and Floyd proceeded to beat the crap out of him.
Many people thought Cassilas won their first fight and he wip PBF the second time around and Floyd boxed his ears off.
He may not be too big or too strong, and he may well be a punk. But he is smart and he comes to fight every time. He is ready.
He's the most consistent fighter we have today
cotto is a monster. but he is still young. but cotto hits way harder than mayweather, isn't faster but is fast himself. he is bigger and physically stronger and floyd will not hurt cotto. floyd has no big power at 140. his speed is his power but eventually he will need physical and big power punching power to knock guys out!! whoever said that no one at 140 can beat floyd has floyd's cock down his throat right now. he is going to have trouble at 140 and you are saying no one at 147 can beat him? ha ha ha. i think there are guys called mosley, delahoya, spinks, judah who might have something else to say. i think mosley and delahoya will win!!
Mayweather is much smarter than any of Cottos oppenents to date. If pinto gave him trouble early Floyd will give him hell. Cotto will adapt and it should make for a terrific fight.
I'd take Cotto to beat Mayweather. I wonder how Mayweather would react to a guy who hits harder, is quick, throws to the body as well as anyone, cuts the ring off well, has a huge left hook, and can counter punch very well. I think it'd actually be a chess match for awhile as both guys are very patient. It'd be a great fight. If Mayweather won I think it'd be a close decision and Mayweather may have to get off the canvas.
Anybody else think Hatton/Mayweather would kind of look like Toney/Jirov?
The only person that can beat Mayweather is Mayweather himself in my opinion.
hell no. do'nt give me that roy jones bullshit he said that night. i think tszyu knocks him out. too strong, and too good. i think cotto in about 2 more fights can give floyd a run for his money and maybe beat him. i think mosley can beat him and dlh can too. we will see. kostya stops him!!
Its strange in a division which is probably the hottest in boxing at the minute why none of the big figghts are being made, Hatton V Zoo is the biggest we have seen made for a while. Alot of the top guys are being protected. I think everyone is waiting for Zoo to move to 147, but credit to Hatton for stepping up and trying to take him out while the others just hang around.
The big fights will happen eventually...obviously there's a lot of BS going on right now but it's also a bit of a confusing time in the division. You have an aging superstar (Kostya), a big name warrior with limited skills (Gatti), a bunch of fading old guys (Sharmba, for one), a guy who might be good but who's never really been tested (Hatton), and a bunch of young guys eager for big fights. Mayweather's a wildcard because he just stepped up. Usually big name fighters will wait to take on young guys until they can generate big money, or else they pick off the pretenders until the real deals have built themselves up enough. With so many young hotshots with big potential though it's though for the big names to know who to pick.
In a year or two things should hopefully start to pick up, and we'll get the fights we want.
okay first up Mikeystlasvegas22 press that damn caps locks key man u dont need to type everything in caps
2nd off pbf is a far better boxer than gatti
3rd i dont think many people want cotto at the moment, they all know he has mad skills but will it be a big money fight? thats the main worry when taking on fights like cotto where you could easily lose, yeah pbf has an attitude but thats all part of being a boxer, i know u can have a bit of modesty but if u think urself as the best you want to stay that way and prove it to anyone who doubts you so you constantly have that determination...
either way pbf will beat gatti, probs a ko/tko about 9/10 imo
I don't think he has the power to take Gatti out, it would be a UD

A fight with Cotto would be HUGE. I could see this one happening if (and when) he beats both Gatti and Kostya. Hatton might be out of the picture if (and when) he loses to Kostya. Not a big enough name and, like you say, it could be a bit of a risky one, though I just can't see any of these guys beating Floyd. He only half-cared about the Bruseles fight through training and during the fight and didn't even break into a sweat. If he trains hard for bigger names I could see it being just as easy.

No question that Gatti will loose to Floyd, but lets be honest there are far bigger tests for him at 140, Zoo, Cotto and Hatton would all catch up to him eventually then we would see how good he is, Interestingly I would like to see him in with Mitchell, Mayweather wouldn't have the power to take him out and Mitchell is slippery, I would always fancy floyd to come through but it would be a much stiffer test.
