Well, I was the first to say that I thought it would be a much closer fight; I was wrong. I never doubted Floyd's abilities and (mad) skills but I really thought Bruseles would be a better match.
Floyd never ceases to amaze me with his defense and accuracy. Can't wait to see him blow Gatti out of the water.
Im not going to respond anymore because Im tired of arguing about it but your still not getting my point. You said before that Corley hasnt beaten anyone so thats why he's not good. Thats why I responded with, Judah and Gatti have lost everytime they stepped up so why do you cosider them good
Because of the performances they have given when stepping up. When they have stepped up competition, even in losing they have shown that they could at least hang with the guy they were in with. Chop Chop looks like an asshole when he steps up. He looks like he doesnt deserve to share the ring with the other guy when he steps up in competition. And you'll see Chop Chop get his ass chopped down when he fights Cotto.
Yeah, I remember all the Corrales fans out there trying to tell me how much harder he hits than PBF. Remember guys it don't matter what kind of power you have if you can't hit the mofo. Floyd is too slick, and would TOTALLY outclass Cotto. Word has it Cotto's pops was using Henry as a measuring stick for his son against Floyd. I hope Floyd didn't scare them off! Kostya would be a good fight for Floyd though. I would love to see that. I also believe Kostya would flatten Cotto as well. The kid (Cotto) has good skills, but thats it honestly. Everyone that is comparing him (Cotto) to Tito is in for a rude awakening if he ever decided to fight either one of these guys. Again.. just my opinion.

You made yourself look bad if anyone did. Floyd just did his job.
Your right to say it's the commissions fault, but if cotto can boil down to 140 and put 15lbs on then it's up to him, loads of fights wouldn't happen if fighters fought at their 'natural' weight, if you know what i mean, but maybe some poundage restrictions should come in to play to make it 'fairer'.
Say for example no more than 7lbs over that limit or maybe even only allowing to weigh in with the next weight limit eg fights at 140 fighters aren't allowed to come in more than 146
i could live with that look what gatti did to gamache..you can kill someone like that.
I hear what you are saying but if you sign to fight at 140 then fight at 140..if not move up....it's not Cotto's fault but the commissions...they need to enforce this.

If you are gonna be 15 pounds over the limit then move up....the weighin should be on the day of the fight.
I think there would be too many fights canceled if they weigh in the day of the fight. Dont you think?

Well, that is your opinion. I agree with you but it is the fighter's prerogative on how much weight he thinks he can safely lose and still be competitive the next day.
He does weigh in at 140, PBF is just a naturally smaller man this will be his highest, maybe 147 at a push, but Cotto will probably end up at 154 - coming in around 162, nothing wrong with that it's how the game works
Exactly! That is the game. Every fighter (except for maybe HWs) gains weight after the weigh in and before the fight. Floyd is fighting closer to his natural weight, Miguel is making the weight.
Also, don't think that the extra weight is an automatic advantage. Look at how much slower Morales was against MAB just because he came in so heavy.
Quit showing your ignorance. Evangelista Cotto is Miguel's uncle, not father.
Also, I don't think Cotto would beat Floyd right now but if he gets 3-4 more fights under his belt (which he will since Floyd isn't interrested in fighting him right now) then I give him more than a good chance at beating Floyd.
My bad, I seriously thought that was his father..

If Cotto actually would weigh in at 140 and not 155...he can never beat PBF
He'll kick Cotto's ass too.
Cotto's father got to see first hand what kind of trouble his son would be in if he stepped into the ring with a monster like Mayweather..

Dlt
Guys, are ranking what Floyd has done lately and I mean some big fights. Kind of like RJJ, around 2001 when he did some work awhile back. I had Trinind P4P #1 during the time, Tito beat DLH, Reid, Vargas and Joppy. The guy moved up in weight and fought dangerous fighters. RJJ, has a better career then Tito but what did RJJ prove during that time?
You see where I'm coming from?
apparently it gets you there
hopkins is #1
and jones was #1 before him
and they have been fighting nobodies for ages...
oh wait hopkins fought Tito and De La Hoya... this is called taking on the best... yes the best junior welters-welters
I think hopkins is one of the few fighters who foughtr a 130titlist champ and a HWtitlist (hoya and jones)
pbf is apparently closer to the p4p top in the mind of the public now that he fights lesser fighters than when he cleaned up 130, looking incredibly good in the process
go figureThats not true. He was always on the list but he had already established fighters infront of him but one by one they have lost.
