yeah, I agree. Mikey Garcia is the only fight I'd really want to see out of them all. Kinda intrigued by the Spence kid though. I'll watch one and dvr the other
I think some of you may think that Cinco De Mayo is a bigger holiday for the Mexican than it really is. I'm from Texas and have tons of Mexican friends. They all tell me that Cinco de Mayo isn't celebrated by their families. It is a date that is recognized but they don't go all out for that date. The Holiday in September is a different story however, that is the true independence for the Mexican culture. I think Mayweather keeps that Cinco de Mayo weekend date because of the success that he had on that date with Oscar. I personally think that fight was going to do amazing no matter which weekend they selected. I think the fight being on Cinco de Mayo just added even more intrigue to the fight. Mayweather is probably convinced that Cinco de Mayo is a huge weekend also. :usa2:
I don't have a reason, but I am annoyed that he never does interviews and that he hasn't convinced Floyd to just fight Pacquiao. Get it over with. Honestly, this dude seems to do great for his clients, what else is there?
I remember Roach saying the following about drug testing...
1. Manny feels weaker after having his blood drawn... They argued for not blood testing within 14 days of the fight. WTF??? (Olympic Athletes do it all the time)
2. Manny is afraid of needles... (Tatted up though???)
3. Mayweather is just trying to be above the commision, we do what the commission says and they call for Urine testing (But he demanded Blood testing after the Marquez fight)
On a side note Rios tested positive for a diuretic (aka something to help him shed weight not gain power or stamina)
Not putting all the blame on Pacman, but I feel that people in general always give him a pass for these very suspicious actions. No words can explain why Mayweather is saying that he'd never work with Arum... why negotiate in the first place. Why not just come out and say that from the jump?
I had Lara, winning by a round or two. I just feel like Canelo was majorly out skilled in this fight. He was constantly applying the pressure however. I didn't feel there wereany swing rounds, so I think that is why I was so disappointed with the judges. I think there should be a rematch because the fight was close enough to demand one. I always give Canelo credit for fighting any and everyone. I really respect his mentality in that aspect. Of people feel that maifana deserved a rematch, I think Lara deserves one as well.
Roy Jones vs James Toney. Watching them talk **** to each other leading uptown the fight, then seeing RJJ do the chicken move and knock Toney down had me hooked. I saw some heavyweight fights before that, but that really made me a fan.
Wtf are y'all talking about? How the hell is that punking someone by saying " take your best shot"?! Ruben has been talking the most ****. Shouldn't he be the one throwing the first shot. That old man didn't want to fight. He is doing a DAMNED good job of making the fight more interesting. This Mayweather hate is unreal. Can we have no unbiased discussions anymore?
^^^ agree 100%. In a real fight who says "go ahead take your best shot" with their chin sticking out in the wind? BS... If you wanna fight so bad you throw the first shot!
His lame nickname is the "CAN" man... Anybody "CAN" get it. "afriCANs, mexiCANS, dominiCANS, puerto riCANS..."
He has said that same crap about as many times as his dad has brushed his hair... Not racist, just lame.
Can't believe that these guys refused to make all that money... How long can people call you a cheater (Manny) or a coward (Floyd) until you put a stop to it. Maybe not the most mature thing I've ever said, but if a guy at worked called me out more than a few times (I'd try to be the bigger man at first)... I guess we're about to see who the top dawg is.
I like Paulie and I more or less agree with his assessment of Broner. However, there is no way in hell that I see Broner not demolishing him. Paulie is in for a long night. He can talk with the best of em though.
Cotto is in for a long night...
I like Cotto, but he has not looked impressive in a long time to me. That second Margo fight looked last the first one (minus the plaster). He looked like he was gassing, and luckily MArgo's eye was jacked cause who knows what would've happened. Mayweather will just pick him off all night, cotto is too slow. Not sure he'd beat Ortiz or Berto... Mayweather by TKO late
