I had Lara, winning by a round or two. I just feel like Canelo was majorly out skilled in this fight. He was constantly applying the pressure however. I didn't feel there wereany swing rounds, so I think that is why I was so disappointed with the judges. I think there should be a rematch because the fight was close enough to demand one. I always give Canelo credit for fighting any and everyone. I really respect his mentality in that aspect. Of people feel that maifana deserved a rematch, I think Lara deserves one as well.

Lara knew what he had to do to get a win but he wasn't willing to do it. He should fire his whole corner if they thought that strategy was a way to victory. Those scores that it was a close fight but Canelo deserved the victory. All 10 of Lara's fans were crying robbery before the fight even started so its not surprising to see them crying now. in a few months many of them will forget who Lara is, just like Trout.

I gave Lara the nod at the time, but I'm on the fence upon thinking it over some more. This just shows how close of a fight it was. I have no problem with people thinking Canelo won. I would have been fine with a close SD either way or a draw. 117-111 is ridiculous though, for either fighter. I will say this though, Lara should have fought to win it. He knew he was up against a more popular fighter with a partisan crowd. He was very negative and didn't take it to Canelo. I understand his style, but there were times when he was doing nothing.
