Its a ***** move by Arum for the fans, but its a valid concern for Top Rank. They dont want to (possibly) feed one of their upcoming talents to Gamboa if there is a possibility he could leave. Gamboa is close to Mayweather and Arum knows it. Mayweather would probably advise Gamboa to get as far away as possible from arum if he wants to make alot of money and GoldenBoy wont hesitate to toss TONS of money Gamboa to bring him over.
That being said It would really suck if Gamboa/Rios didnt happen..... But a possible Gamboa/Broner fight happeninig in the future is awesome. Would probably will have to do the telecast in slow motion to keep up with all that speed.
These are all "if", you can bet you ass TopRank wont lose Gamboa with out a fight.

You have to think something is going on over at Toprank that so many top fighters want to leave. And honestly toprank has alot of disgruntled former boxes. When is the last time you herd a GB fighter upset or wanting to leave?

Hatton only lost to probably the the best fighters in this generation and was exciting to watch. Judah has always been highly skilled, but for every brilliant performance he has major setbacks.
He put on a great show, but he lost the fight because of his piss poor gameplan. He wanted to go toe to toe which a much stronger man to prove a point and his body could only take so much before slowing. A little more movement and maybe being a little less brave he could of school alvarado like he did in the 2nd round.
DLHs jab was really directed more at TopRank which is understandable. In my opinion its a bad move to Bradly to react the way he did. You never want to burn bridges in your profession, especially when DLH has most of the fighters Bradly would want to fight for big money.
How long does he think TopRank will pay him big money to fight Lower level or unknown boxers. Its not like he brings money with a huge fan base. I think TR makes him take a big Paycut or releases him
Not elite guys but i think its going to be a really good exciting fight. Both lack defensive skills and like to slug it out. Should be interesting to see if it goes the full twelves rounds, since Chavez will go after the body and manfredo will slug it out.

If froch goes in with the same gameplan he had with Abraham he would pick Jr apart and win a wide decision. If he shows up to fight and turns it into a slugfest i think he still wins but it would be a hell of fight. Jr might get alot of **** but I have never seen him quit, he keeps coming foward and so far has shows a really good chin.
I also think Frochs chin is good but he has gotten rocked by the likes of Direll.
Technically Pavlik could pick him apart. If jab would land all night followed by a straight right. Froch is really sloopy at times but he deserves credit for the level of competiton he has faced lately unlike Pavlik.
From the Ellie videos Pavlik looks rejuvenated, I have high hopes for a gun run with garcia in his corner.
Frochs resume is awesome, but his P4P ranking gets killed because he got SCHOOLED, WHOOPED, and DOMINATED by a fighter in the same division he is in (Ward).
Now if you want to make a list of best resumes you can rank him as high as you want, but you can be on the top of the p4p list after being dominated.

RRJ was way to gifted to be the underdog against anyone (all-time). Offcourse its boxing and anything can happen, but no RRJ was a beast.

You guys really think JCCjr has any say in this? Arum is keeping the fight inhouse (toprank) instead of risking a beatdown by Martinez. Offcourse there will be a catch weight so the the 160 title is up for grabs. If Cotto wins he will be the first Puerto Rican 4 Div champ and he will continue making money for arum. If JCCjr wins he immidiately becomes a Cashcow and Arum can build him up.

Good post, but I dont agree. Chavez And Marg have almost the same style with a really good inside game. Offcourse JCCjr is nowhere near as proven as Marg but his chin is damn good so far, and like Marg he doesnt have the one punch KO but the accumulation of punches is what breaks the fighter down.
I agree JR is not at Margs level YET, but i think he has more potential. His stamina should be good with this long camp and hopefully Ariza and freddy improved his game.
The thing is that I dont beleive Cotto is anywhere near the fighter he was when he fought Marg. His speed isnt there anymore, he doesnt throw near the amount of combinations he use to, and he is not as agressive as before. He is far from being a bum, and he might still whoop chavez, but JCCjr style is still a nightmare for Cotto. Jr has shown he isnt bother when getting hit and aslong as stamina permits he doesnt quit.
Regardless i think it will be a solid fight which im willing to pay for. Mexicans and Ricans always come to fight (Mexicans usually win :spankme:)
Very good sparing for both. Vanes has the speed advantage so he looked good. But in a real fight I dont see how he can hurt Chavez, he definately has the skills to outpoint chavez but if the fight goes inside I see chavez breaking him down.
Obiously sparring is far different than a actual fight. Until now JCCjr has been more proven inside the ring that Vanes( which doesnt say much) and would probably be favored to win.
To say JCCjr is soft and Vanes would tear him up is just being a good Nuthugger. I like both guys and would like seeing a fight. My money is still on JCCjr

It just depends what way you look at it. Shane was outclassed by Floyd, and was bullied around Pacman. It comes down to Shane being afraid of getting KOed by a better PacMan, Or being beat up hopelessly knowing there is no chance of winning.
