Been told @filipinoflash returns Feb. 4 on HBO to face Wilfredo Vazquez Jr for a vacant 122 belt. Main event could be JC Chavez Jr. #boxing
its sad but true. the thing is i really like the kid, hes the best fighter within miles of his weight class(well i would have killed to see him fight anslemo, but thats another story). but the way hes being bought along is baffling to me.
Big Donaire fan here. I've been waiting a long time to see Donaire test himself on a consistent basis. Vazquez Jr. and Arce is a poor list of opponents for a top notch fighter like Donaire @ 122. Nishioka is the only decent fight I see for him @ 122. Rigondeaux/Donaire is a fight I actually want to see after a year or two as Rigondeaux needs a little more time to adjust to the pro game.
122 is a weak division. Nishioka isn't available, rigondeaux is fighting ramos. But Shimoda and Poonsawat are better fighters than Vasquez Jr. Vazquez Jr. is the fight fans seem to be stuck with at 122. The future arce fight is a garbage fight. Arce fought great vs Vazquez but he's past prime. But that seems to be the fight Arum wants to stage for Donaire when he opens up the new Philippines' arena. Filipinos want to see Donaire fight a Mexican.
Nishioka will be the only meaningful fight Donaire will have in the near future. If Donaire fights only Vazquez Jr. and Arce at 122 and moves up to fight more mediocre fighters at 126 to "stay busy". Then I will be pissed. Donaire needs to fight more elites to establish his legacy. If I had my way, Nishioka, and Rigondeaux/Ramos winner @ 122. Then @ 126, Juanma, Salido, Chris John and Gamboa.
another **** fight. ppl hate on floyd but if u wanna see someone who really wastes his talents look at donaire. the dude is 5 yrs past being a prospect and hes fighting wv jr??? wtf???
floyd's cock is too deep in your throat you have to defend him in every thread:bottle:

Garbage card, so what else you got? :D
If Arum wasn't such a bytch then maybe Mares moves up to fight the African dude who has the IBF belt then Donaire vs Mares in the summer
mares is with gbp
Point is that you dont know the loser weights. You know thats true. Knowing a few fighters down there is not knowing the lowers weight classes, especially thru the years.
And Martinez HAD to fight Cans for 12 years? Gimme a break dude
dude, shut up. u can go back in my post history and then determine if i kno the lower weights or not. u telling me i dont kno something doesnt help your argument. what kinda preschool **** is that.
and martinez sure wasnt gonna get a big fight unless he fought, and beat, all those tomato cans. ****, he stumbled onto the stage basically. after the margarito fight, he was on no1s radar. donaire is not the same. are u retarded? arguing with u is pointless, u dont have one to stand on but u'll just deny **** rite in front of u.
WV2 is not a tomatoe can, I think the fight will be a good fight. The thing that's troubling me is this Chavez vs some tba. I thought the wbc said if he doesn't fight martinez he's outa there, I guess they just lied again huh?
Donaire is trying firsthand at 122 so this is as legit as it is
Donaire's expectations here were way too overboard, i guess it's understandable because he possess talent & skills way too good for others
i posted long ago that if Donaire intended to try 122 he should go for Nishioka but since he's unavailable then this is the next best thing imo
so ur argument with me is based off of what i know in lower weights, amirite? well then if thats ur argument, then theres nothing else to say. i follow numerous fighters at lower weights and donaire most certainly isnt my favorite. stop wasting my time with your stupidity.
martinez might have fought cans for a long time, but then again donaire is the most gifted fighter in the lower weight classes. he was an early bloomer, just like floyd, just like rjj. martinez was not that. so ur argument is ****. martinez fought those cans because he had to, not because he wanted to. who knew martinez before pwill?
But Barker and Macklin are worse than WV2, plus much less money. And he's moving up, after having belts in 3 classes previously. By comparison, Sergio had one interim belt before moving up to fight PWill, who was unproven at MW.

Dude please, all you know in the lower weights is Donaire, thats your problem. And you call them tomato cans because you dont know them. Plus Sergio was fighting Tomato cans for 12 years before doing ANYTHING, but you defend him?
Clap Clap Clap. For all those fighters you just mentioned you pick their best wins in a weight raise.
Learn the lower weights

I just hope he doesn't stay in 122 for long... there are much bigger fish to fry in the bigger weight division aka Gamboa or Juanma
The plan is WV2 and then Arce...Hopefully is just that and goes up to 126.
Donaire fights and elite fighter every 4 years...2007 it was Darchinyan, this year Montiel...Wait in 2015 you might see him against Russell Jr or Garcia or someone of that note at 126.
How many elite fighters are there down there? 2? Him and Gamboa. And Gamboa is at 126. You can fight fighters of note or good fighters without them having to be elite
