After 4 rounds he was blowing hard. His heavy hands got him out of trouble but that was a pretty worrying level of fitness.
I say this as a fan of the fighter
now it's down to "building vs outdoor" :lol1:
the over sized tent that kirkland was fighting in had no ac so it was very hot............that zaps your stamina. kirkland never fought in mexicos altitude or heat before, but he gladly threw roughly 100 punches a round.
this just means it's no excuses for canelo..........that stamina issue is a serious one.
you obviously only read the first line of my comment, because i said i agree with you that there is no excuse for him gassing like he did.
they fought in cancun mexico you moron. which has been historically known to have tortuous altitude you moron...........
yeah but kirkland fought angulo inside a building, alvarez fought at one of those bull rings. either way, it's no excuse to get tired like that in the 4th round. he is 21 years old, he should have all the stamina and energy in the world. i like alvarez, but man, if he doesn't fix that problem and sharpen up his defense, he will get his first loss soon (seeing as he is continually facing better opposition).
That was a weird fight.
What Kermit Cintron fight is not weird.
Though I did not find it weird. It's pretty common nowadays, a Mexican beating a Puerto Rican in boxing.
Yep he gassed out, but that's consistent with Canelo, the guy tends to gas out pretty quickly, that's been a problem since a long time, I remember that against Ndou the guy was really really tired and struggled to finish the fight. Now he gassed out pretty fast, and I'm sure he did because after the fight he had the interview with HBO and he was pretty agitated, and then a few minutes after he had the interview with Televisa and he still was puffing like he had just finished the fight ... IMO he has a lot of distractions and is starting to believe he can beat anyone without training at 100%, and that's what has happened so far because he has faced crappy opposition, but against top guys his lack of fitness can cost him a hard defeat.
You guys do know they where fighting in Mexico City right?
Altitude, plus high polution= getting gassed out fast, by both fighters.
altitude shouldn't be an excuse since he would have acclimatised, he wasn't shipping that many punches, he just wasn't fit enough
Why do you guys keep saying that was Cintron's round?? Cintron was OUT when the 4th round finished, he should have NOT come out on the 5th, he wanted to stop it.
because he was winning the round why is that so hard to understand?
everytime a Mexican wins it's fixed? when JMM knocked out that colombian kid in 1 it was fixed.... SMDH
Dude... but that fight looked hella fixed.
Who breaks their fall, closes their eyes then pretends to punch the air?
i agree, i thought this as well. he was even breathing pretty hard in the kellerman interview from what i remember. i hope he can fix that somehow, it can deff cost him his first loss imo.
Alvarez knows he is **** that is why he is trying to cash out against Floyd, because he knows Chavez Jr. would whoop his overrated cherry-picking ass.
LMFAO- As if Chavez jr is not a cherry-picker....he will be abandoning that belt before he thinks of Martinez!
