Amir Khan stopped Victor Ortiz in 2 rounds in 2003

So the fight got stopped because of the POINTING SYSTEM that was used. Its not like he KOed him in 2 rds, Yep..ametuers and pros are two different games. Khan has a style closer to an ametuer fighter while vic has a pro style.

Just to resurface an interesting old thread... Yeah I agree amateur and pro are very different, still quite an achievement though.

Using Pacstan logic, it was years ago so it doesn't really matter now. He's a completely different and better fighter now.

Nationality doesn't mean anything, If your born in Puerto Rico and move to America when your 5 and live there the rest of your life... guess what? Your Puerto Rican. Ethenticity means more. Makes no difference where your raised, who your raised by etc.. By that logic all yanks are actually European.

Ortiz already adressed this comment. He stated the fight was STOPPED BECAUSE OF THE POINTING SYSTEM. Yes he lost, but it was never a TKO, KO or anything along those lines. Ill try to pull up the video

The amaetuer game is completely different than the pro game. Taylor beat Pavlik in the amaetuers but look what happened in the pros. Ortiz would beat Khan in the pros you can take that to the bank. A stoppage is a stoppage whether its ameuteurs or pros, its just the scoring and game is different, but a Ko is a KO. saying someone who lost on points in an amateur fight is gonna win is one thing, but someone who got knocked out is uterley riddiculous Amir Khan is ten times better and punches harder these days, Roach made Khan loads better, Ortiz has improved but I think Khan has improved more. I give Ortiz seven rounds before he is on the canvass max
