There were some blacks in the jury, it wasn't all white.
Carter's career as a contender was over when he went to prison.
The crowd did not boo Giardello when he got the decision.
He didn't go to juvenile hall for protecting himself against a pedophile. He was in and out or reform school for repeated muggings.
There were two blacks in the jury the SECOND trial. No blacks in the first jury. There were numerous brady violations committed by the prosecution. The prosecution mishandled and corrupted their own case. He may have been guilty, but the mishandling by the prosecution made that difficult to believe.
This was so corny and so staged. It was convincing and funny all the same. I will NOT be buying this.
What are two smurf men (Floyd and Rey) going to accomplish? This has me baffled. (Don't know enough about wrestling.)
They sold that so well.
Indeed. It looks very believable.
I can't believe the Big Show was willing to allow Floyd to break his nose.
Floyd is out of control!!
What everybody needs to do is shut the hell up. Ya'll talk like you heard telephone conversations between the two camps. You guys don't know whats going on behind closed doors so why make shit up?
Indeed, indeed!!!!
It was a robbery. What are you babbling about? Taylor easily won 8 rounds. Buddy, I highly suggest you watch the replay of the fight this upcoming Saturday.
It's on HBO on demand already.
That boy is such a spectacle.
I do believe he will not be broke. I think despite his many parodies, he has some intelligence and wisdom. I think he makes some wise decisions.
Judah looked great down the stretch his last two against Davis and Vasquez. Didn't seem to tire much at all. I think Judah beating Mosley is more than feasible and actually expect him to pull a victory. Regardless and even if he doesn't, I think this will be an exciting fight.
I don't think Margarito has much of a chance to be honest.
Cotto might be able to win some rounds boxing (early, because he would surprise Mayweather) and then win some rounds late brawling after he gets going. That could be a decision for Cotto. Cotto is honestly the guy who could KO Mayweather too... his body shot can be lethal. I would still pick Mayweather, but I would be nervous for Floyd losing.
I'm not sold on Williams. Mayweather's defense would nullify Paul's sloppy ass volume punching with no pop.
People are so blinded by that. It's unproven and unbelievable that so many are actually crediting him as the one with the arsenal to beat Floyd. His only advantage is his size. His fight certainly is not his advantage.
The biggest issue is not style, but mental strategy IMO. The style will not beat Floyd. He's mastered handling everyone's style. Floyd is all about the mind. He is methodical and controlled and able to think of ways during a course of a fight to change the plan of his opposition.
The one to beat Floyd will have to have a sharper mind. They have to be a thinker with the ability to maintain and not deviate from usage of the jab, left hook, or whatever else they may have in their physical arsenal that can stun Floyd. Mayweather's biggest asset is his mind. Get in there, and that's how you beat him. You simply have to be smarter than him.
They can all give Floyd troubles no doubt, but what will happen in the ring, has to be seen in reality. While those 3 obviously can give trouble to Floyd, it's not to say Floyd can't give them trouble back. I think if anything Williams is the most dangerous fight. He's just so damn tall, I think it'll put Floyd at a disadvantage he wouldn't be comfortable at all. But let's get real. He's used to these huge paychecks. He'll fight Oscar 5 times winning every rd in each fight, if he's collecting 15 million a fight. Now why would he face danger for less money? Floyd is money first, legacy second.
It would certainly appear that way. Shameful, IMO.
why are you always flirting with me? :cop:
Oh, because you are so virtually fine, I just can't help myself!:pat: Someone please call 9-1-1!
Arrest me Officer C'omnmang', I'm guilty!
You really think its gonna make as much money? I mean I don't think it would get as many buys as the first, and most people already know what type of fight its gonna be.
With Sr. involved now, I do. He's going to be trying to convince the world only HE has the recipe to beat Floyd Jr. Real boxing fans know that Oscar can't beat Floyd. However, so much drama makes for good numbers.
1. Floyd Sr. vs. Floyd Jr.
2. Roger vs. Floyd Sr.
3. The "Goldie" Scandal
That is a lot of drama. It sells.
Technically, the rematch is justifiable. The first fight was a SD. (Even though to a trained eye, Mayweather clearly won.) I knew then there would be a rematch and I dreaded it due to the fact that the fight was disappointing. However, a SD is a grounds for a rematch. Many of us may not want to see it, but TECHNICALLY, it's justified.
Mayweather is going to win this one too.
I think Mayweather just needs to retire if he is not going to make a fight that the fans want to see. I think he needs to fight Cotto, regardless of whether Cotto wins or loses to Gomez. Even if just to hush the critics. Mayweather had a spark when he fought Hatton and it was explosive. How do you go from that to fighting Oscar again.
I'd say, "Hi, Floyd. Happy 31st, man. Have a great day. Be sure'n do a good number on Oscar in September."
Thanks for actually reading my post and responding accordingly!
I see Floyd doing more damage to Oscar this time around.
That boy is just good. I think he beats Oscar, Cotto and then needs to hang them up. If his body is "breaking down" like he and his therapist claims, a loss is guaranteed if he continues.
Floyd did well in the game. The announcers thought he'd be MVP.
Floyd is certainly a big name. I am not certain I'd say EVERYONE knows who he is, but he is up there and only gaining momentum.
I voted Cotto Roboto.
