Genuine Question - Did Floyd REALLY get $20 Mill from WWE?

This is not a Floyd bash thread. I am just curious. From what little I know of the WWE, their employees all get paid a solid but unspectacular salary. They are TV characters performing a sports based soap opera. In their story lines characters win control of the federation itsself amongst other unrealistic results. Is it likely that this federation that doesn't pay it's biggest stars millions even with the junk that they sell in their image would pay a gifted but non household name boxer $20million for probably a month or so's association? I'm sure he's making plenty of money but I suspect the $20million aspect is hype and part of the storyline that addresses his 'money' moniker. Anyone enlighten me.

Wrestling stars such as Hogan, Steve Austin, The Rock, etc... have generated millions and millions of dollars for WWE, and have never even made more than 5mil in one year. What makes u think Floyd is worth paying 20mil? Its just common sense. Why are you so worried about it in the first place? Stone Cold Steve Austin who has sold more merchandise for the WWE than any other wrestler in history, only got 1.2 mill in a year as salary at the most. No way in hell is may getting 20.

Exactly. I saw a YouTube clip of PBF's Raw appearance and when they said "20 million dollars" I knew it had to be part of the story. No way he's getting more than a million or two for this. While I don't believe he is getting anywhere near 20 million, I'd be willing to bet he is getting well over 500K. Tyson got over 3 million, and that was over 10 years ago. Thing is Floyd isn't even in Tysons time zone when it comes to popularity and never will be.
