props to Floyd if this happens.. Mosley can definitely definitely beat him. Absolutely no wide UD win for him here coz he's the smaller one. This will be a lot tougher fight than ODLH where he only got a SD.
maybe we should change the poll to whether Floyd will sign to fight Mosley or not. This is the BIG challenge.
Mosley is actually a tougher fight for less money for Floyd than what he could have gotten with Pac so there's a chance he'll not sign it.
Pac got less money but easier fight with Clottey...so a no-brainer.
all those people who gets ****ed in the mind by the ruckus are the die-hard fans. they are the ones who can't sleep, eat, and are shivering while typing on the forums.. hahaha.
you all must have over-estimated the situation and what mayweather did. It's as simple as asking the tests and manny refusing it. the fans, the promoters and the people around them are the ones crying.
Floyd is not as cunning outside the ring as all make him out to be..
Hell he owes IRS money for mismanaging his finances. that's dumb actually if you compare it to Pac owning these stores, businesses, properties, dumb movies and dumb records, and attempting to get a lick on Philippine government money by running in politics and all those tv commercials.
for all we know, Pac may actually be in bed with some other actress while we're all crying.
If you have nothing to hide, then take a test. Really, he should stop crying and take a test.
that's what Pac's camp have been doing and been wanting to do.. do the tests that works for the NBA, NFL, and other pro sports.. how simple is that if you just don't listen to the Mayweathers? And for the record, the Mayweathers started the crying over the issue.
they ducked each other.
Pac thinks Floyd has the skills to beat him and may come in overweight that's why he demanded the absurd over-the-limit penalty.
Floyd is scared Pac would come out like Incredible Hulk again.. you know, Pac would swallow Floyd's 1-2 counterpunches, and spit it off his face like it was nothing and continue moving forward like hell. Hence, they demanded the never-before-done testing.
both camps had doubts of winning really.
easy for some to think that PBF wins. however, PBF fought some fighters at 130 that Pac would have beaten worse. Morales too has some common opponents with PBF.
so frankly, we don't know. they are both very good tough fighters, so i would say 50-50 chance.
Hahahaha, Penalosa won 1 round on two cards and lost every round on the other.
hahahaha!!! (I'm laughing at how the judges scored it eventhough PDL won it no question. but the preceding bout's scores were more ridiculous.)
Anywho, regardless of weight, if you make a fight between someone with Pac's skills and someone with PBF's skills, the guy with PBF's skills would win at any weight therefore making him the better P4P fighter.
You mean a taller, heavier version of Pac with more muscles at maybe 147lbs.? I'm so scared. My skill better be magic..
slicksouthpaw16,
pac never had one-punch knockout power? wears his opponent down and stops them late? you sure about that coz i've got some videos here plus the marquez fight where he starts hot and wears out late, hehe? guzman WAAAAAAYYYYYYAAAYYYY more skilled than marquez?
oh my...
Pac is quick too, plus the power. To beat him, you don't just run and slap once in a while. Guzman may look good against slow opponents but i dunno against pac. he's pretty intense. You gotta hurt him to beat him.
The younger and bigger Juan Diaz would beat Pac but not the others.
what can Marquez do that Guzman can't?
how about counterpunch and still win by KO? How about better overall skills? How about having heavy hands. Marquez will hurt you while being slick. He did that to Pac and almost won.
In a fight b/w Guzman and Pac, I am almost sure those close rounds or dancing rounds would go Pac's way, unless you hurt him like what Marquez did.
Anybody can be faster if you just intend to PAT your opponent.
About one punch KO for PAC? there was this undefeated mexican guy who chicken danced with one punch and an australian, I forgot their names. Just find the videos.
Hopefully someone comes along and knocks pac off quick. The bamboo eaters are driving me crazy.
crazed fans are more natural and exciting. i like your bamboo eaters a lot more than boxing-expert wannabees who PRETEND to be smart and unbiased. boxing and all other sports will be pretty boring, IMO, without those die-hard expressive fans.
i just hope i can get to see the fight. it's almost a given that they will give all the close rounds to John, thus the lopsided scores.
i still want a JMM-Pac rematch. 'hope they still give JMM a chance, he must want the Pac rematch now.
IMO, fighting in your opponent's turf makes a slight difference at least in mental and physical conditioning, especially if it was your first time. You'll most likely to lose if the score is close even if you outscore him.
But if you're that much outgunned like the Cal-Lacy fight, it wouldn't even matter. regarding the JMM fight, i haven't seen it to make a comment.
i've heard Chris John doesn't fight outside Indonesia. I just wonder how he'll do in the US without those crowd around him.
EM is already on another level of greatness...JMM is no where near the greatness of a MAB or EM...no question
How? In his last two fights he got 1 loss against MAB and beat an overblown former flyweight, super-flyweight, featherweight champ last Saturday. Pac moved up and fought a P4P fighter in EM, I'd like to see him to the same thing and use his boxing skills against Castillo, Corrales or PBF where his reach and power would not be at an advantage.
But I would have to agree about JMM though.
How can you rank him above JMM, when he is the featherweight champion and has the majority of the belts. Do you think Pacman beat JMM? because I do not. "Way above" is going too far and does not give credit where it is due.
I thought it was a draw.. But Pac has the Barrera fight under his resume. JMM just did not have the chance to fight any of them on the top until Pac came. But he's got enough to challenge and beat all of them, it was just the chance.
"way above" was my word of affirmation from the post of TyrantT316. He said "nowhere near." that was my choice of words. If JMM got the chance, I think he may be up there with the legends EM and MAB, or maybe even surpass them, nobody knows. He just needs the fights people need for recognition.
That works both ways, Maybe you were rooting for pac.
oops, 'got you there. i won lots of money for EM via UD on this one. HAHA! I got one post that says EM will win.
is it possible to look at my other posts? help me out here so you will be able to see. i'll try to look for it.
Here was my take before the fight:
i really thought Pac has no chance moving up at 130 and making his first fight against Erik. I really thought EM will be stronger than Pac for this fight, ring brilliance aside.
I agree with the post above. I would like JMM to be taken more into the scene though. JMM deserves his chance to greatness. So far, he has only fought Pac. Pac has already fought all three with a score of 1-1-1 (Win-loss-draw)
If EM beat JMM, and move up and beat both Corrales and Castillo, then he will be on another level of greatness. But until that happen, they are all pretty equal right now I think.
A rematch would not be good for Pac, I think. Pac would be hungrier next time but EM may just as well cruise to another close decision if it happens too soon. I thinks Pac moved up too soon and his power at 130 have not been as effective. He may just be too small at that weight given he started fighting as a 106-lb kid.
Pac fans were gracious alright in defeat this time. Although some of them acted like *SS after the JMM and MAB fight.
And Wow! Runw/knives got some brilliant posts.... JUST KIDDING!!! ;)
why is it ALWAYS that the measure of greatness of a fighter is to keep moving up and up and up and up...
I love Pacman and Morales...heck all of them...but Morales is just the better fighter overall than Pacman
Ok, you got a good point. He is currently a better fighter overall, so let's rank him way above JMM and a notch above Pac, currently but that can change. Now where do you put MAB? Now how can EM make it to the #1 P4P list of most people? He obviously isn't there yet but I'm confident he can make it, but not by fighting PAC and MAB over and over again. Remember, he is 1-1 in his last two fights.
EM obviously have a hard time making 130, so moving up again is not far from happening. Now that's where the real action begins. That's where he will cement his legend. And it's not far from happening. And when he does, he will be up there all-time.
I think the fight seemed closer than it really was to some people
the fight seemed closer than it really was to MOST people, including the judges. Maybe you were rooting for EM while watching the fight.
c'mon guys, admit it. if this was a blowout, then EM had a BLOWOUT loss to MAB.
this will not be fight of the year candidate if it was one-sided. and i'm confident it will be.
my vote's for MAB. But this is a pretty tough call.
If ever, I like MAB in a Pac rematch. That may cancel out the Pac equation and put MAB on top of both EM and Pac.
I cant help but wonder how one judge got it 115-112 to Pacqiou!
same with Lederman's 115-112 for Pac. Some would also wonder how another judge had it 115-112 scored for JMM. This same judge who had JMM winning incidentally scored the 12th round to Pac.
But come to think of it. It's just a couple of rounds swing. so it's acceptable.
I dunno. It's pretty easy to assume. If Guzman can beat all of those guys then he's pretty much unbeatable. Right now, I'd say JMM beat them all at 130.
I'll definitely watch out for Guzman's next superfight. He's the next guy to watch.
