To prevail in a slander or defamation case, TWO elements BOTH have to be proven:
1. That the party making the statement knew, or should have known, that the statement was false, and
2. The party made the statement with the intent to purposely damage the credibility or image of the other party.
neither Mayweather Sr. or Golden Boy could possibly know that their opinion was false, as Pac has never been subjected to testing that would conclusively prove or disprove the steroid allegation. And Pacquiao cannot prove he has NEVER taken steroids, therefore he cannot even prove the allegation itself is false, much less the intent of those saying it
It's impossible to prove a negative. It's like trying to prove you didnt drink a beer 4 years ago. It cant be done.
Where is he getting his legal advice from? Juan Diaz? lolol
oh lol i see you got jokes, aight i gotcha... Naw but I want him to step up now. That is why I am trying to get his name out there. And, Cody can do 132. So we wouldn't mind that match up...
cool. well email me your contact info to trekas@onepunch.net and we can stay in touch. Time for me to dip though I gotta head over to my sisters and do presents and stuff. I'm kinda glad I got into this debate here cause I was worried that I was gonna fall asleep and be late for the family stuff.....lol
cya
For me, the irony here is that the undisputed KING of unreasonable demands (Pac), like making a defending champion come in 2 pounds under the weight limit, and limiting the amount of rehydration that DLH could do, is acting all offended that a potentially unreasonable request is being made of him. What goes around.........lol
About the catchweight, didn't SRL make a champ defend his belt at a catchweight too?
You think DLH's rehydration was limited that night? Golden girl always sets the demands right? Do you think DLH is dumb to allow that to happen? The weight was limited on the weigh in, not fight night weight, unless you have a link to prove otherwise.
so when are you gonna let Cody fight someone that has at least 1 win? lol, j/k. I dont have anyone at 140, but if he gets back to 130-132 maybe we could match him with Simpkins at some point.......

If you have nothing to hide, then take a test. Really, he should stop crying and take a test.
that's what Pac's camp have been doing and been wanting to do.. do the tests that works for the NBA, NFL, and other pro sports.. how simple is that if you just don't listen to the Mayweathers? And for the record, the Mayweathers started the crying over the issue.
Cody Richards he fights around 135 but anything is negotiable. His record is 3-0-1(2ko's)
And, Justin Williams he is at 154 he has no professional fight yet. I am working to have him make his pro debut on Jan 15. In Laredo TX.

That is awesome... That is great for Nate.
If you need any fighters for any of your shows. I manage 2 fighters who are willing to fight anytime.

You sure it wasnt because he was hiding something???
You see where Im going with this???
not really, because if the perception was that he was "hiding something", then other fighters would have demanded testing.
You're skirting the issue... I have trouble placing Nate as a "slick" type fighter...
But, the crap that has been coming from your camp leads someone to believe that Pac consistantly avoided certain kind of fighters... Being that Pac has only had 1 fight at 135, 1 at 140, 1 at 145 and 1 at 147... Discounting DLH, Hatton, and Cotto,,,, Who else besides Guzman at 135 and below (which was 90% of his fights) was there that fit your discription...
Even if I conceded that he didnt face Nate or Guzman,,,, Is that enough to warrant labelling someone as avoiding a particular style??? Please tell me you can explain that...
Im not "skirting the issue". I just can see both sides of the arguement, and I dont feel strongly about it one way or the other. For every fight that didnt get made, there's a valid economic reason for it.
I would also add Timmy Austin as a fight I would have liked to have seen at 118 or 122 even
Nate has Raymond Charles, Quinton Willis, Marcus Willis, Cordaro Simpkins, and Kenneth Moody under contract. He will probably sign Dwayne Larry Jr. pretty soon too.....
My One Punch shows are strictly in Tampa. I wont travel for the small shows. Occasionally though I coordinate fights for other promoters out of town, but not under the One Punch banner.........

Do you pretty much only do shows in Florida?

I see timothy bradley is innocuously absent in your statement and I like to think I know the reason why.
Are you saying they want to fight floyd as a last resort? :D
I dont consider Bradley to be a "defensive slickster" at all. He's an aggressive volume puncher along the lines of Diaz, but with better conditioning and much better fundamentals.
Floyd brings enough money for Top Rank to take the risk. Someone like Shane or maybe even Paulie would be a "last resort".......
So, who other than Guzman,,,,could have Pac fought below 140 that fit your discription????
Please dont say nate....lol
how can I not say Nate? He had 3 belts at 135. Pac fought friggin David Diaz instead.
In all honesty, the issue is really debatable because Pac didnt stay anywhere long enough to be accused of "ducking". He never "cleared out" any division north of 130, and even 130 has an asterisk due to the JMM fights not being definitive, and some folks even have JMM winning both fights. I guess I thought Guzman deserved a shot after the soto win. JMM definitely deserved a 3rd fight before Pac moved up. Nate definitely deserved one after the Diaz win, and now either Floyd or Shane deserves it. But its hard to argue for Pac NOT to take the Hatton or DLH fights instead of fighting someone else, because there was sooooooo much ****ing money to be made. I would have done the same thing in his shoes. Its a tough call, and both sides have valid points.....
Oh so in Nates next fight did he have to go through Olympic style drug testing to clear his name???They won't threaten to sue in court because they're no stupid?
I have 6 shows scheduled for Tampa so far for 2010. The first one is Jan 22. Nate has 5 fighters under contract with his company VooDoo Management.
I am his advisor.
What fighters are under contract with Nate?
Do you pretty much only do shows in Florida?
I've given my take on that before. First of all, to say any fighter is afraid of another fighter is just stupid. And Pac I believe would fight anyone regardless. There is however no denying that Top Rank has made a conscious effort to match Pac with the most stationary guys they can. They do not think he matches up well with defensive slick guys that can move, so they would only make those fights as a last resort. And it just so happens that most times that someone refers to a "defensive slick fighter who uses angles", they are referring to an african american fighter, as that is the most common style associated with african americans in the lower weight division.
Put your bias aside for a second and answer this question. Other than maybe guzman, name ONE non-african american fighter below 147 that you would label as "slick". The only one I can think of is Malignaggi, and thats even a stretch.
So my point is, its not that they dont want to fight african americans, its that they dont like the style matchup with defensive slicksters.
I see timothy bradley is innocuously absent in your statement and I like to think I know the reason why.
Are you saying they want to fight floyd as a last resort? :D
Please stop....same issues...Nate can be accused of many things but based on his performance or lack of...STEROID USE is something he'd never be accused of...
Maybe being a dick... But thats not something you can sue over...
well you might want to refresh your history then, because Willie Savannah made numerous public allegations that Nate was on the juice after Nate kicked Diaz' ass.......
I'm thinkin' about making a lawsuit against BOTH of them divas for gettin' 50 million boxing fans world wide hyped up for 2010......fukkin' FRAUDS!!.....thank the boxing gods for the Sugar Shane's and the Cotto's at 147......those 2 dudes made the division what it is......NOT Floyd or Manny or any other WW......Shane and Cotto are WW Gods!!! :boxing:
cool pic of brother nazim in your avi..........
