Im not a fan of the way he fights, but I really think he could beat pac quite easily, why isnt he being talked about anymore, i know he had a little hype a while back. I thought JMM won the fight by a couple rounds, but it was obvious to see the reason it was close, was because his pride. I dont see Joan taking any of those chances, which could equate to a boring fight, so maybe its good this fight dont happen, but I'd say he'd probably have the best chance to dethrone Pac.
I think Guzman would beat Manny. Guzman is skilled and is working with the right trainer for that. Competitive but I see a decision for Guzman.
Guzman don't need Mayweather Sr. He's there for publicity and to try and gain exposure.
Guzman would be a very interesting fight. I know Guzman ran the last few rounds against Soto which hurt him, but some other fights I've seen of him he was exciting, not totally boring like some have said. He's quick with his feet and hands and would be a problem for many. After Arthur he should look at getting a fight with JMM. If he beats him he could be on to bigger and better things.
Nah, Guzman would fall to PAC. This guy has no power. The last time he scored a KD was when he fought at 122 Lbs. JMM, aside from his A-1 counterpunching, actually has some pop. He even wobbled PAC many times during their 2nd fight(something EM nor Barrera was able to do)...PAC knows JMM can he hurt him thats why he was a bit apprehensive going all out...For Joan, though hes very slick, PAC would have no reservations going on attack mode since he knows the other guy cant hurt him(this guys cant hurt even tomato cans like Jandaeng..lol). PAC would probably laugh at Guzmans best punches and would swarm him with blitzkrieg lefts on the way to a UD.

** You chaps seem to be a bit confused about Guzman.
Marquez is not only past his best days, but a cautious fighter at best relying on countering offense for the bulk of his career. A very technical, but boring fighter from a fan's perspective and a poor match for Manny who's just too quick and powerful for him.
Guzman younger, less wars, no pac damage, more talented, much more exciting fighter, but lacks discipline in his career thus far. Bad management in making and then pulling out of the Harrison title fight, a very winnable fight save Guzman can't make the feather limit anymore.
All Arum wants to do is make superfights for Pac, or setups to promote the superfight. Guzman neither set up nor superfight. He could easily be a superfight if he steps up and makes some noise whichever weight class Pac moves to. No superfights at lightweight for Manny, so my guess is Arum might try to set up the Hatton fight.
Hard to know what these promoters to do next as their ground always shifting as they hustle up the next fight. Guzman needs to step it up if he wants to be the Man in his division. Talent is there, but not an active fighter and a rep for being difficult to deal with.
Totally agree with you. He is broing as fuck but I dont think PAC would land much on him. And if Guzman grew a pair of balls, with the speed he displayed against Barrios he could fucking do damage to PAC. But not surprisingly Freddie Roach will never let that fight happen as he said himself. "its not that Guzman is better than Manny, its just that styles mkake fights and his doesnt suit Manny2 says Roach. Hahaha he knows what would happen.
I dunno. It's pretty easy to assume. If Guzman can beat all of those guys then he's pretty much unbeatable. Right now, I'd say JMM beat them all at 130.
I'll definitely watch out for Guzman's next superfight. He's the next guy to watch.
I think Guzman is exciting more times then not in a fight. He runs but he can fight. If Pacquiao stays at jr. lightweight he still has a few more fighters to go and a third fight with Marquez.
He would bore us to a unanimous decision over pac. He's very smart but not exciting. Some pure boxers are exciting to watch, Guzman just isn't one of them.
Y'all seen one Guzman fight and think he is boring.. git the fuck out of here.. that was the only fight he decided to run and he only ran like 4 rounds..
Go watch any of his other fight and he has never ran..
Anyway, judging by the way Pacquiao fought last night I am positive Guzman woops him. I had Marquez winning by two rounds. I was disappointed in the scoring but oh well.. what can you do?
Ya i would like to see Pac clean out 130, but it does make sense to go to 135 money wise and thats why fighters fight so cant blame him. I think Guzan could beat him, and Id like to see Valero and Pac go at it power for power and see whos left standing, but JMM should have a rematch but hes getting older so who knows.
I think if Cassamayor wins, which i think he will, we'll see Pac down at 130 because i dont see him matching up at all with him, but if not I can see him grabbing some belts at 135 to set up a Pac-Juan Diaz mega fight.
