He held his punches.
nah, Joshua was swinging for the fences in the early rounds, Always said Joshua was stiff and robotic. Paul gassed or Paul could've survived for a decision. Another farce but I tuned in to either see Joshua get embarrassed by going the distance with a youtuber or Paul getting ktfo, neither happened.
The fight-by-fight thread wasn't even showing up for me, I could only access it from the main forum list page when it was shown as the last post in NSB. Weird, and not the first time either.
Because the stupid default setting for this new forum is sort by newest threads started first, instead of Sort by newest thread posts. So the fight-by-fight threads always get pushed further and further back, even when it's the busiest thread.
I have to keep clicking Filter then check "Date - last update"... If the admins fix this, it be be back to it's old self
Guido just has poor balance and body coordination/
Makmudov has even worst balance and coordination, that's why Guido looked decent in that fight and got the win. This fight with Torrez was ugly from both fighters.
says the event starts 10:30am EST, not an interesting undercard, so what time do you guys think the main event will start? These Saudi cards are notoriously long with way too much useless filler.
did the commentators say Torres jr is gonna fight Vianello next? That' s a really good step up to see the actual level of Torres jr. Anderson looks bad against this Greek/Swede roofer
last night was just a quick money grab. He was probably wined and dined in Congo by the President, he was way out of shape. He's still a very dangerous opponent for any HW, but we know his chin is not great.
this embarrassing loss to Lopez shows why Loma and his dad avoided Pacquiao like the plague, even when Pacquiao was willing to fight at 140 and even 135! Loma can't compete with bigger guys who have power.
Indians suck at sports, just look at their pathetic Olympic showing. It probably has a lot to do with their weak vegetarian diet. China can produce champions, especially at the lower weights like other Asian countries, Boxing has only recently gained popularity there.
considering Mike is not just a boxing icon, he's a cultural icon and it has little to do with his in ring work, a lot more to do with his outrageous behavior outside the ring.
I don't care for a fighter's purse for the most part, but when a fighter demands a ridiculous amount that they are not worth, then it matters because it's the big reason why fights are not made. Crawford is a prime example of someone who can't draw but demands huge money.
Joyce would win it easily on an unanimous decision, both have solid chins, both not the biggest punchers, but Joyce can go all 12 rounds whereas Parker is a 4 round fighter.
Golovkin's professional career has been a disappointment, when he was annihilating no hopers and B-level competition, him and his team were saying everyone was scared to fight him that's why he wasn't able to get big fights. When he did get fights against top competition, he barely got by with a win, proving that he was never levels above the other top guys. That is not a problem, but he kept fighting no hopers while chasing another Canelo payday.
Those knockdowns were legit, even with fair judging, it was a very even fight going into the 10th, with those 2 knockdowns, even if Porter survives to the final bell, he had no chance of winning on the cards. Porter was never expected to win, this fight was only interesting because it was a showcase to see how Crawford will perform against the top WWs, and he looked good.
Kovalev was still boxing well. He had become chinny though.
Bivol hasn’t looked great since his friend passed.
Bivol is great a controlling distance and has more power than Plant. If he’s at his best this is a 50/50 fight IMO.
lol Kovalev himself admitted that he was in no position to win the Canelo fight and it was purely a money grab and anyone who actually believed he had a chance were stupid. He just came off a grueling fight against extremely green Yarde and was forced to take the Canelo fight on short notice.
