I think Bivol is definitely a credible opponent, he’s a champion in is prime, however I think Canelo wins this fight quite easily. Bivol is good technically and does the fundamentals well but I don’t think he has anywhere near enough to beat Canelo. That’s my two cents anyway, what are your thoughts on this fight?
I think Canelo looks unbeatable right now he is at his apex, but no fighter is unbeatable and Canelo can defo be beat, we've not seen him in a competitive fight for a while so i feel people are getting carried away.
My personal feeling is Bivol is a very consistent fighter, he is long, big, punches hard, good boxing ability and looks to me as the type of fighter that would give Canelo serious problems. You could say that he is pretty basic, his offense his not that creative and maybe the lack of unpredictability could be his downfall, but I'm not convinced he needs to be that dynamic offensively. He's naturally much bigger and is more durable than Kovalev.
I wouldn't be surprised if he beats Canelo by decision. I think a lot of people are sleeping on this fight.
- - Started well, but fizzled spectacularly.
Prime Kov bigger, stronger, more naturally powerful, and KOs Biv inside 6.
That said, I don't discount Biv vs Canelo, but Canelo the fav for good reason.

It would be a MASSIVE step up for Canelo. Bivol’s a legit 175 champ in his prime unlike the Kovalev that Canelo fought. Great 50-50 fight IMO.
If no catchweight is allowed.

That’s how I saw it. Canelo was landing regularly to the body whilst Lara was just trying to potshot.
Have you ever rewatched the fight?
I had. Most of those body shots were landing on the arms. Beside he looked lost. In any case, you have your opinion and is good as mine. The bottom line, canelo has a w, and Lara an L. Be safe.
I think nothing much of the fight. Canelo Alvarez has all the negotiating power in the sport to make better fights.
What I mean by better fights is, marketable, exciting fights against interesting opponents.
There are better fights out there to make, that is all I am going to say.
But if Bivol gets his fight with Alvarez, all the best to him.
The truth is, there's no way canelo won 5 rounds without landing anything

Canelo 100% won that fight, I’m a big GGG fan and I’m no fan of Alvarez but he definitely beat Lara.
I done an RBR thread on the fight about 18 months ago during lockdown and there’s no way I can give Lara any more than 5 rounds.

At 175, without any stupid catchweight, Bivol wins. Bivol was tested by bigger punchers than Canelo is.
Canelo will have to show his best ever performance to make this look close. Bivol is higher level than guys Canelo usually fights.
And Bivol is clearly much stronger than any version of GGG.
Well you said that Canelo would duck everyone hes been fighting...(just saying):dunno:
So will you just move goalposts again,or nah?

I think this was bound to happen. Canelo doesn't want to fight any young, athletic, combo punching American fighters. He figures it's easier to fight the upright European model that is predicable to him. Charlo, Boo-Boo and Benavidez are too much of threat to him and can beat him. Fighting Bivol will be a stretch since he is bigger and has some pop so we'll get to see if the jump this time hurts Canelo.
If Canelo takes this fight and wins legitimately it's probably the best achievement in his career to date. It's easier said than done though, not only is Bivol a legit LHW he's also a very smart and skilled fighter without any real glaring weaknesses that look especially exploitable, though Canelo and Eddy will likely have a more careful eye for that sort of thing than me.

Canelo stops him because Bivol can't hit man!
I personally don’t think he can but if he can it suddenly becomes a really tough night for Canelo.
Yes but Bivol's offense is still mighty predictable imo
He didn't won the fight at all. He looked like an amateur trying to catch butterflies. I agreed he would kill Lara now, but not because his boxing abilities. The Cuban is way past his prime and still around 154-160.
