barrera vs pacquiao 1 i still cant watch this fight to this day! Barrera is my favourite fighter of all time and to see him utterly dominated was hard for me to take. i remember watching this match thinking barrera is just going to walk through pacman and this was just a warm up fight before he would eventually fight morales for a 3rd time. barrera had lost fights before - his first fight with morales (even though i think he won that fight) and his losses to junior jones, but at least he fought back and had his moments in all of those fights he lost, but it was the way he lost this fight to pacman still hurts me to this day. barrera just got dominated from the 3rd round up until the 11th round in a way i have never seen. at that stage in barreras career he seemed unbeatable, was the number 1 featherweight at the time having beaten naseem hamed and erik morales, and pacman just took everything from him that night, he was just too fast too powerful and barrera could not figure him out at all and looked confused. the moment barrera got dropped with the straight left from manny in the 3rd round he was in full retreat mode the entire fight until his corner stopped the fight in the 11th round, and just didnt know how to handle pacman. pacman took the fight out of barrera that night and to this day, i still think this is pacmans best performance against another fighter.

I just hate how people imply that Pacquiao should rematch Barrera............Pacquiao is the one who totally dominated and destroyed Barrera, thus, imo, people should be implying that Barrera NEEDS to rematch Pacquiao..........Pacquiao is the KING of the two divisions and people should be challenging him. even though barrera is my favourite fighter, i agree with this post 100%, barrera needs pacman, pacman dont need barrera. as for morales, i dont think he should retire like some people have suggested. i mean he took a lot of punishment tonight, but if he has a long rest, he can come back. look at barrera as an example, MAB has been written off so many times and he keeps on coming back, nearly everyone wrote barrera off after he got destroyed by pacman but look at him now, hes top of the 130lbs division, got 2 belts, came back and beat morales. i just hope he fights pacman by the end of this year.

mannys constant body attack is what broke el terrible down. He may have a hard time making 130 but i do believe he was in very good shape for the shape. Pac was the better man exactly. mannys body attacks is what won this fight in my opinion, he was rippin morales to the body and it all eventually took its toll on him, i mean if you look at rounds 9 and 10 before he KO's morales, manny hits morales to the body a couple of times and morales just drops his hands, you see that morales aint even got his gloves up, hes just too hurt.

If anyone saw the Sky sports telecast of the fight, at the end he was interviewed by what seemed to be Mario Lopez(from Saved by the Bell), and he asked Manny if he'd ever like to fight Juan Manuel Marquez again, and Manny replied, if he goes to 130lbs, sure. :boxing: i saw this too bro, AC SLATER LOL/mario lopez asked him who he wants to fight, pacman said barrera, then he asked pacman if he wants marquez and pacman replied he will fight JMM if he moves up to 130lbs, do you think JMM will move up in weight?? if he does and wants to fight pacman, he can have no complaints about the money he will recieve for this fight, manny pacquiao is the main draw for this fight if it comes off after what he did to morales. hopefully we will get JMM moving up to 130lbs, hes just wasting himself at 126lbs

barrera suffered the worst beating, at least morales made it competitive up until round 6. barrera got absolutely destroyed, i watched the fight about 2 days ago to see who got the worst beating out of MAB and morales, MAB only won 1 round against pacman, it was definatly barrera who got beaten up worse and the punch stats comfirm this: barrera vs pacman: total punches landed: barrera - 172 out of 547 = 31% pacman - 309 out of 838 = 37% jabs: barrera - 71 out of 285 = 25% pacman - 52 out of 268 = 19% power punches: barrera - 101 out of 262 = 39% pacman - 257 out of 570 = 45% Total Punches Morales: 184 of 644, 29% Pacquiao: 196 of 795 25% Power Shots Morales: 107 of 321, 33% Pacquiao: 171 of 537, 32% now consider this, pacman landed more POWER SHOTS on barrera compared to his total punches on morales which includes jabs and power shots!! pacman landed 196 punches on morales, but pacman landed over 300 punches on barrera and they were mostly all power shots. he hit barrera over 100 more times than morales. so in order of worst beatings i would go with: 1. barrera 2.morales 3.JMM - he actually did alright after the first 2-3 rounds, he was able to neutralize pacmans left hand.

i saw PBF doin that alot when pacman was beatin up morales, the joke thing was that bob arum was sitting in front of PBF, bob arum must have been pissed that a fighter he promotes was cheering for his man to lose.

i personally dont think morales should retire, however if he does then here is no shame in that, he is a LEGEND, a HOF fighter and was definatly one of the best boxers in the last 10 years, how many fighters can say they were at the top or near the top for 10 years, i definatly give morales his respect and this is comin from a massive barrera fan. morales can still come back and win another title, hes only29 years old, i know he has been in a lot of wars but you cant count morales out after a loss, give him time to reat and heal up and he will come back strong. in his last 4 fights he has lost 3 of them, but in all honesty there is NO SHAME whatsoever in losing to barrera, pacman and a very underated raheem, all morales does is test himself, looks for the biggest fights out there, the guys gonna be missed when hes gone, i feel hes a bit underappreciated for what he has done for boxing too. youve heard of the saying "you dont know what you got until its gone" i feel us boxing fans will get htat feeling when morales hangs it up. morales however will have trouble making 130lbs and he did look sluggish against raheem at 135lbs, i cant see him fighting people at a catch weight of 132 1/2 lbs so perhaps hes body is telling him enough is enough??? i might sound crazy saying this, but if morales wants to come back then it should only be for 2 things, the first option would be to try and avenge his loss to pacman and have a third fight, morales has what it takes to beat pacman, he has proved that already, and the 2nd one is to try and get a belt at lightweight and beome the first (or maybe 2nd if barrera beats chavez) mexican to win titles in 4 weight classes.

Before last night's fight, Pac is already #4 in the Ring Magazine P4P list behind MAB, Winky and PBF. Some people may have to argue if Pac should surpass MAB for the #3 spot after last night. i agree, id have pac ahead of barrera at no.3 and then id have barrera at no.4.

in my opinion JMM shouldnt be even in the top 10 P4P list, or he should at least be around 9 or 10, i mean no disrespect, he is a good boxer but what has he accomplished and who are his signature wins against??? there not top level guys in my opinion. there could be a strong case that pacman could be number 2 on that list, i mean hes KO'd both barrera and morales and got a draw against JMM. these accomplishments for me are better than winky wrights 2 wins over mosely and trinidad.

in the first fight, pacquiao looked really tired after about 4 rounds. he usually has stamina for 12 rounds throwing non stop punches. pacman needs to also work the body a lot more this time round, he was doin so well in the first 2 rounds attackin morales' body. this fight is too close to call. if pacman wins i think it will be on points, no one has ever KO'D morales in his whole career and i cant see that happening anytime soon, unless he fights someone like corrales or castillo at 135lbs.

in their first fight (ive just watched it again about 30 minutes ago) morales was in control of that fight, it was only the first round in which morales was lookin troubled, after the first round he adapted to pacmans style and although he got hit with some quality shots from pacquiao in some of the other rounds of the fight, morales was always in control of that fight. he even switched southpaw in the last round, thats how comfortable and sure he was with himself that he was winning the fight. i think their second fight will be a great fight again, but im still undecided as to whos gonna win.

no hate on mayweather at all but he hasnt even proved himself to be the number 1 in the lightwelerweight division. he needs to try to clean up at 140lbs then fight some top condenders at welterweight/147lbs.

Style-wise PAC is a nightmare to Barrera. Consider this, both are sluggers BUT... PAC is quicker, faster, has more stamina, faster handspeed, stronger punches and that southpaw stance is a nightmare for any slugger. This is probably the main reason why Barrera has been avoiding PAC all these years, because he knows he can't win. i here what ya sayin bro but its like barrera has never ducked a challenge before and this for me is his biggest challenge out there in pacman. i honestly dont think barrea is scared i mean he lost to junior jones by KO and came right back to fight him, he lost to morales and fought him 2 more times after that so i dont think barrera is scared, i just think its more of mental thing.
