In 2007...., but when did Manny fight Hatton again? Oh, After he struggled with Lacazno post being KO'd by Floyd. I'm noticing a pattern here. Fans suggest the fight in the fighters prime, Manny wait a few years later and beats them after they're shot. :D
Certain boxers have patterns when it comes to their careers. Like how Floyd leaves the sport when there's a legit threat waiting to fight him.
Seriously, Mayweather has 1 inch on him and 4lbs. Pacquiao is all about staying in the lower weight divisions, then balooning up to almost Welterweight size before he has to fight somebody. He's completely content to avoid the Welterweight division (a division he could easily make) altogether.
I can't say I blame him either, I'd rather stay below Welterweight and fight a bunch of retiring legends and overhyped prospects until I retire too. It beats having to step in the ring with serious threats and risk the dreams of an entire Nation.
Here's Pacquiao's reaction if he ever finds out he must face Mayweather......

Wow! TS was WAY off on this one!
Cmon now.. Everyone knows that Cotto was not the same fighter after Margacheato beat him up for 11 rounds. Plus add to that that Cotto had to come down to 145lbs. Shane was the number 3 P4P fighter in the world and best welterweight so stop the shit.
According to Floyd: Vernon Forest ****ed him up, Miguel Cotto ****ed him up, Winky Wright ****ed him up. -
Kevin Iole of Yahoo sports says on Twitter that he'll have to think about it but his gut reaction is most likely Mayweather will now be moving back to his rightful throne of P4P #1 over Pacquiao.
Eat that pactards.
Nyahahahahaha!!!

As a Pac fan, I believe it'll be close, but Floyd will be back as P4P #1 after last night.
Cotto for Pac or Mosley for Mayweather?
Consider skill level, condition, how far their were past their prime as so on. Mosley to me looked around 80-90 percent of the guy who fought cotto or margo. It could be because mayweather made him looked like that but you know punch stats showed mayweather threw VERy little body punches...
so why the hell was mosley gassed out by the 4th?
I am inclined to go for Cotto as I think he was a better boxer than a 38 year old Mosley but you know I want to know what others think
Tough call, both Shane an Cotto were coming off big wins but I'd give it to Pac. He also dominated Cotto in his own way, but a TKO is much more impressive to me than a UD.
I agree that Floyd could have stopped Shane but he doesn't seem to have a lot of killer instinct in him. If he'd just upped the tempo in rounds 8-9 and started putting together the 4-5 combinations that we used to see from him in the lighter divisions, I believe the referee would've stopped it.
Yeah, that's the Floyd I miss. He was pretty much hitting Shane at will, but it was still impressive. He took Shane out mentally and he was ready to give up. The crowd would've gone nuts if he finished him.
Shows how rare it is...its a testament to his defense
pac got marked several times against cotto....lets not make a big deal out of either.
Both Pac and Floyd deal with getting hit differently. Floyd backs up, regains himself, then plans his next move. With Pac, getting hit is like a lightswitch. It just gets him more fired up and he lets his hands go. It should be a very interesting fight!
Probably what the best parts of his game...adjusting!
That's the most underrated part of his game too. No one understands how difficult it is to keep your composure after you get clocked! After the 3rd, I pretty much knew it was a wrap for Floyd. Everyone else that was watching the fight still had faith for Shane, I was telling them to just give it up, Floyd already figured him out.
He talks the MOST shit. Is he good at it? No. He's terrible. He's repetitive and boring. When he does deviate from the usual "I got no losses" or "I'm the cash cow of boxing" bullshit, he gives us this:
"I'm a gorilla, I'm a dog, I'm a dog I'm a gorilla. I talk the most shit, I'm the most flashiest"? - WTF is that shit? "most flashiest"? Is that even a word?
Good genetics.
Agree. Some people just got it and some don't. Its all genetics. That's why I feel bad for Floyd, he ain't gonna be so pretty when he's old.
Where was his thoughts and beliefs when he made the demand to Cotto THE CHAMPION to weigh 145 and put his belt on the line?
Wtf does that have to do with superstitions? All I'm saying is alot of mofos up in here giving Pac shit because ya'll don't understand his thinking. The man is the top guy in the sport, got all the money in the world, and he's practically the king of a country. In his mind, (just like in Floyd's) he makes the demands, not gives into them. When ya'll talk about pride, it goes both ways. He believes that he don't answer to any boxer, just like Floyd.
Here is the POINT:
For Our #1 Pound for Pound fighter in the world to argue and protest against better drug testing in the very sport he represents. Make boxing looks like we are for steroids, PEDs, and mediocre drug testing all in the name of superstition and entertainment.
He is our recognized #1 fighter in the sport.
and for him not to be leading the way for better testing is bad enough.
However when he is not only not leading they way, but Holding the process up all over superstition and pride is unacceptable.
I hear all the time how Pacquiao is so popular and he is loved all over the world etc etc.
Well if this is true imagine how much influence a person in Pacquiao position could have changing how boxing should test boxers for peds and steroids...
Imagine if Pacquiao would have put his name of approval on this issue of drug testing???? You do not think this would have gave this issue more momentum than what it has now?????
Effective change in drug testing is impossible without effective precedence followed by even MORE effective momentum.
Put simply, the world of boxing would know that a new era has began when it came to better drug testing because the 2 biggest stars in the sport had made it a serious part of the fight.
As would be the case with Mayweather vs. Pacquiao.
Instead, We have our #1 Fighter using superstition as an excuse to make himself and our sport look bad.
I don't understand why ya'll can't accept the fact that Pac just will not do what Floyd wants him to do. Look at how Floyd is making Shane look right now. Got that boy jumpin through hoops like he was a ****ing circus animal. Makin him look like a damn fool. You already know Pac has a history of making demands for a fight, just like Floyd, and almost everytime, they get their way. Imagine a regular entourage of people doing everything you want, never questioning you, agreeing with everything you do and say. Now imagine a whole country that is willing to do that for you. That gives you an idea of what Pac's mindset is.
If he really wanted to clean up the sport, do it right. If I'm Floyd and I really wanted to clean up the sport, I would be thinking: I really wanna fight Pac, but I really want him to take the test. If I can't make him do it, I'll go to someone who can. This forces Pac to shit or get off the pot. If he declines after that, he's exposed as a cheat. Simple.
Imagine Michael Jordan arguing against better drug testing in the NBA because he believes drug tests might affect his jumpshot?, and therefore since he is against it, you now have half of the NBA fans, writers, and etc against better drug testing because they love Jordan..!!
Imagine Peyton Manning arguing against better drug testing in the NFL because he believes drug tests might affect his passing?, and therefore since he is against it, you now have half of the NFL fans, writers, and etc against better drug testing because they love Manning..!!
That is the problem with Boxing #1 fighter against better drug testing.
Not just against it, but protesting against to the point where he is tarnishing our sport.
It is unacceptable man, and unless he change his stance on this issue, I hope he wins his congressional seat in the Phil.
Bad analogy. You're assuming the NBA or the NFL would be implenting the better testing. But what if it was Karl Malone telling MJ to take the tests, only when the Jazz play the Bulls. The NBA is not requiring the tests, just Karl. Or if Donovan Mcnab demanding it from Peyton Manning when they play the Colts. You'd think these guys were straight trippin! Who the **** is they to make these demands?
You gettin it twisted, you act like he's totally against the testing. You don't even mention the several compromise attempts his camp made. Come on, son! You know damn well Floyd ain't trying to clean up shit!
I agree, he should not be allowed to believe in anything that does not coincide with what we believe in. Who the **** is he to have his own thoughts and opinions!? He should be run out of boxing!
