I think so.
I mean personally, I don't find a guy talking about his bank roll to be very insulting or offensive. Which is pretty much all he talks about.
I don't really see how anyone can think this guy is good at trash talking.
Thoughts?

That's why hes the best.
oh come on the "shane must have jumped in the hot tub time machine" is pretty funny.
yeah that was kinda funny...talkin bout his jheri curl.
I also slightly laughed at the prize fighter quote
"that's what I fight for...a prize!"
He's a horrible trash talker but I don't think anyone thinks he's actually great at it. He throws his 0 out there and his last 2 fights with DLH and JMM and goes from there.
Controversy sells though so he's doing it for obvious reasons(money.)
I wouldn't even say he's a B level trash talker.
He talks the MOST shit. Is he good at it? No. He's terrible. He's repetitive and boring. When he does deviate from the usual "I got no losses" or "I'm the cash cow of boxing" bullshit, he gives us this:
"I'm a gorilla, I'm a dog, I'm a dog I'm a gorilla. I talk the most shit, I'm the most flashiest"? - WTF is that shit? "most flashiest"? Is that even a word?
His trash talk is just annoying. I don't find it clever or intimidating but you could argue that it is effective since he can get under his opponents skin.
He is not overly clever, witty or even original but dude knows how to just get under the skin of about anyone.
It always kind of amazed because he enver really seemed to good at it but he is very effective.
he's not overrated, more like irritating. he irritates the f**k out of me. His trash-talkin' is more like hearing nails scratch a blackboard.
He's popularity tells you where our society is headed, lol. I mean, I did not envision a show like the Jersey Shore would end up to be such a hit. He's the Jersey Shore of boxing.
With all the sh*t I talk about Phony Boy, one would get the impression that I don't like the trash-talkin' type, nothing could be farther from the truth, I liked fighters like Ali, Tyson to Hamed.
Ali, was witty. Tyson was just a f**kin' bad@ss, he had that mystique about him. Hamed was a clown and quite unique with his entrances.
Phony Boy just comes off like a studio G, and apparently I'm not the only one with that observation, Nazim Richardson mentioned it too.
I was about to reply but I read this and its the TRUTH.

I love/hate Flyod. I hate em during 24/7 but when I see him box I love him. No one can make me hate em more than May, but I'd rather lose a testie than miss the fight. Looking at the past it always looks better. I'm sure during the day I'd hate Ali, but May is amazing. I want to see him lose but I'll enjoy watching history when I see him dominate.
i made a thread about this..........floyd aint clever.................99% of the time.........hes definitely has no Muhammad ali charisma.........i have toney and mayorga......................above in that department
agreed. hes just incessant and irritating. theres nothing witty or creative about anything he says.
He's not really "witty" or "quick" with his trash talking, it's more that he's willing to go really low to get the opponent i.e. Mosely's ex wife and his divorce, nose jobs etc....

on point. so true. lol
He used to be pretty good. Not as good as Ali, Toney or Mayorga, the Holy Trinity of Pre-Fight Shit Talk, but decent. Now it's just "I'm worth more than you are, queer! Nice steroids!" Play a new tune, Floyd.
