I dont care if he won 4 straight before mosley. please, he was not the same fighter as b4 the dlh fight. not at all. Joval is a kinda good victory. it was ok, but Joval aint all that. he is not that good. He beats Willie Gibbs and all of a sudden he is good.
How did he look bad against Castillejo? He clearly won the fight.

I'm not gonna make excuses for Mosley/Vargas 2 but Vargas had to lose weight, and that definitley had something to do with it.
I can obviously tell that you are a Vargas fan. Vargas is tough but that is all he is. He does not posess the skills to win the big fights, he always talks big but fails to deliver. Face it, he was good early but his management fucked him up by rushing him too fast , now he has to make a career by talking shit and being the ULTRA MEXICAN male. Vargas has only beaten one good fighter also, Quartey, barely. Both fighters suck big time, Vargas has slightly better overall skills, so it should be fun. All Vargas' fights were close/great fights with the exception of the rematch with Mosley. Mayorga wasn't even in the same league as De La Hoya.. and he got his ass beat. He went 8 with Tito, gets his ass beat. Vargas/Tito was a classic that went 12.

I stand by my statement, he beat Quartey by slight outpointing. Campas was a human pez dispenser for Trinindad and Wright pulled it off. Everytime Vargas stepped up , his shit talking was shoved down his throat.
He beat Quartey pretty handedly. It was a great fight but Vargas won by about 4 rounds. And he beat Winky.
Name a fighter worth mentioning that Mayorga beat.. outside of Forrest.

That MAY be true. Fernando may have taken to much punishment, but until I see this Mayorga fight I'm sticking to my guns that he just came completely unprepared against Mosley 2. No need for excuses, but that could be a reason people say he's "shot."
No, he wasn't robbed at all. He was obviously much more fatigued than Diaz at the end of the fight, and took punishment to the body throughout the contest. Just because Morales has a great history doesn't mean shit in the fight that happened NOW.
Diaz beat him in a very close fight. A close fight that Diaz, who in the end had much more will and desire to win, won.
Even though I'm a Vargas fan I'm gonna have to agree with Dino. It seems to me like Vargas running from boxing and trying to involve himself in another in what to me seem like pipe dreams. (His clothing line, acting, etc. etc.)
Vargas is a boxer, and he should box. Too many people feel that he's a B class fighter, and just a brawler. Vargas is an intelligent boxer, and if he looks good against Mayorga he should continue to fight.
btw, Vargas didn't look bad at all against Castillejo. Vargas actually looked pretty good and probably could've stopped him early.
And to the Winky Wright fan whos just mad his fighter lost to Fernando.. De La Hoya/Trinidad didn't "ruin" Vargas. Those were both great fights with Fernando. They both ruined Mayorga.
I got Mayweather in a Split Decision. Williams is quick, but Mayweather is quicker. And actually I think Mayweather has more power than Williams. Mayweather is a great defensive fighter as well.. Way better than Margarito. Will be an interesting fight after Mayweather gets rid of Hatton.
