If we don't know how good GGG Is we can't really say brook fight is a mismatch then. We can't say its a bad fight. Ruiz didn't get slated for fighting rjjj did he? Hagler didn't get slated for fighting either Duran or srl or hearns.
At the time Floyd didn't get slated for fighting jmm, people thought it would be intriguing
So GGG gets credit for fighting an unbeaten guy a step up in class, even if by a little bit
I disagree we already knew how good RJJ, Hagler, Hearns, SRl, Floyd, JMM where when they fought all where P4p future hall a famers brook has not shown any sign of that he is p4p or that he a future hall a famer and GGG has show that he a P4p fighter and a glimpse that he a future hall a famer.
to answer the OP question to me this would be like Tyson vs Douglas where its a great win but GGG should rebound and brook will be know as the guy who upset the big bad monster
GGG is a pfp top 5 and brook is un derated.
If brook wins it will be massive achievement.
People do know how good GGG is. Nelo, Jacobs, bjs ducking him so must be onto something they know something everyone knows. They should get poenalised for not fighting GGG. GGG shouldn't be penalised for their actions or inactions
agree with the bold
to accept their terms and sign a contract for a fight that wouldn't happen for at least another year, then went public complaining about it when ggg didn't sign.
I wonder where oscar got that idea from?
duva.........
If you're talking about Ward and Kovalev, the contract they signed last year was with HBO, not with each other.
true but right after ward fought duva was acting was going say the fight was not signed
Why do some fighters seem to get this in their favor, even if there was no clause to begin with, it seems certain fighters just get granted a rematch.
Frampton Cruz comes to mind. Why grant Cruz a rematch? Frampton has so many options right now, why not fight Cruz at a later date.
It's like " o, I was supposed to be the next big thing, I lost" it fuels this narcissist persona of not being able to lose
Wlad-Fury--Fury nearly scored a shutout, why is a rematch so necessary?
I think it slows down the sport, waters down fights and makes boxing boring.
Bradley-pac fought 3 times for god sake.
it was in the contract they signed
GGG is A-side 500k PPV sold Mr.62k Cameltoe has nothing on Golovkin get with the times Amerifat.
what has that got to do with what I asked you
at this point GGG is not the a side vs canelo I would pick GGG to win the fight if they fought but right now he is B side
I dunno how people are buying this bullsh1t. The drama of internet age I guess.
it true my cousin, girlfriend, brother, sisters, roommate, uncle, aunt ,son, father cuts Oscar limo driver sons hair told him that what Oscar told hopkins
Why couldn't he KO a green and drained Canelo though?
so canelo was drained come down 2 pound but GGG would not be coming down 6 pounds at a older age and fight at a weight he has not fought at
For some reason Bob Arum doesnt seem to me like the type of person that takes losses. I think its safe to say Bob Arum knows the drawing power of his fighters and wont risk losing $ if he knows that beforehand. I think a loss to Arum is he didnt make as much $ as he had hoped or wanted, I seriously doubt Bob Arum puts fights on to pay for it all himself with no upside. I think people underestimate Arums business sense.
everything you said might be tru but I just don't see this fight selling that well
The same people that wanted 3G to move up to 175lbs were the same people Ironically saying Mayweather was too small for 154lbs this is what they said to make sure their hero would not fight Erislandy Lara, Floyd ducked Lara and the Cuban boxing school all because of the lies of being too small even though he fought at 154lbs three times before and needed an IV to re-hydrate to make 147lbs for Pacman.
and the same people who wanted Mayweather to dare to be great in fight GGG at 160 don't want GGG to move up at all
Who are these 'people'? I've always seen posters on NSB and Golovkin's team talk about 154 for Floyd. 160 was never substantiated by anyone.
Did you see one or two trolls (Floyd haters) call him a coward say he should move up to 160, and extrapolated that to the rest of the population?
some on this sight some on facebook some on dan Rafael chats you my have just past it off but I'm not talk about trolls/(Floyd haters) like Golovkin freedom or huge grant
Why should GGG dare to be great when Floyd never done the same?
GGG has essentially said he will only move up on the same grounds as Floyd and that is for a good payday which would likely be possible against Ramirez, DeGale and a Carl Froch.
We know Golovkin will fight above his natural weight limit and remain there unlike Floyd who only ever moved up in weights because his body could no longer make it then the forced move up in weights against easy opposition who were either past their best or too green or drained in weight to make it possible of happening.
Floyd has dare to be great Floyd in the past that's why he a hall a famer and have a good resume
we don't know if GGG will move up we only can hope we will
The point is that Floyd fans are adamant that GGG is BIGGER than Canelo and Lara despite weighing the same on fight night.
Yet when PAC fans claimed Floyd was the naturally bigger man, Floyd fans cited the similar fight night weights as proof they're the same size.
Now they're abandoning their logic.
who said that
We wanted the fight at 154lbs it's a weight we know Floyd can make too bad he is too much of a coward to fight him, I think Floyd knew GGG would have KOed him relatively easily shows how good GGG is.
maybe you wanted it at 154 but other want it at 160 and said Floyd should do it so he could win the 160 title and dare to be great but now they don't want GGG to move up and dare to be great
Just to clarify - there was never a conversation about Golovkin vs. Floyd at 160. Golovkin has ALWAYS stated that he would goto 154 lbs for Floyd Mayweather.
No ifs or buts.
not talk what GGG said but people wanted Floyd to move up to 160 instead of 154 and dare to be great
I agree with you and if the fight is in australia, floyd will be very lucky to win a single round.

one minute you guys say wards has no fans then you say the media and fans are hiding is drug use
my question is if he has no fans why would the media hide anything form anyone what to gain?
He didn't give a "damn good fight." He did ok-ish in the first 4-5 rounds, I think I had him slightly up but the moment Spence started coming forward and throwing 3-4 punches at a time, Brook just kept hanging on. This was before the injury even happened.
Of course they're just men but they are also paid more than 90% of the human population, they are paid to fight on top of all that, given adjulation by millions of people world wide and ultimately, they are taking part in a sport where guys have gone through much worse than Brooks little damaged eye to win.
Now, I don't see anyone arguing that Brook did not quit, just people making excuses for Brook quitting. So I assume you all believe Brook quit but you're ok with that.
I'm fine with you're way of thinking but I don't think like that. People don't just quit in life, a doctor can't just quit one day because he has had an 18 hour shift and walks out of the middle of an operation and says "I'm leaving, I don't care what happens to the patient, I'm taking my pay check and coming back after an 8 month break."
Fighter have that luxury, that is why they get ccriticised. Brook got paid millions to quit, he will not take months and months out of the sport and come back claiming he is 2better than ever" and get paid millions again.
Stop making excuses for pathetic losers like that.
boxer get paid to fight not risk there lives
so if he went on and then went blind just so you can say he was a warrior are you going to help him out for the rest of his life
beside one fight could end his career and he wont be making those millions.
Watch the post fight interviews, he claims he couldn't see, although "the eye was better than it was against GGG" (lol) and yet he looks directly at the interviewer, looks at the crowd, isn't even blinking as weirdly as he did vs GGG...what a plonker
how are you going to say what another person should do when you are not in there take the punishment your self.
beside you can get hit and have blurry vision and later on everything would be fine
wait what? boxing is dangerous, Kell Crook knew that, no one forced him into becoming a boxer. Why don't you go and give Crook another job that pays millions?
so is car racing,so is football, so is drag racing, so is mma they all are dangerous you are not paying him to fight to the death are you so you are not paying them to risk their lives you are paying to watch them fight not risk their lives
