NO VADA Testing for Andre Ward for the Kovalev rematch?
Is only Kovalev being tested?
Why did Ward stall the rematch that long? What happened to the stipulation in the rematch contract, that they would require 120 days of drug testing for both fighters?
Did Ward change the contract?
Is the media covering up the truth and will just tell us "Yeah yeah they were both tested?" just so the people will be silenced?
It's pretty sad that this topic is totally being disguised by the mainstream boxing Media and all the bigger american boxing channels.
Naive boxing fans probably thought first fight had VADA Testing, then the 2nd fight will have it too, right? Kovalev is enrolled to the WBC/VADA Clean Boxing Program anyway so Ward will do VADA Testing to have a level playing field right?
Nope! Andre Ward himself rejected VADA testing, only Kovalev does it for the rematch!
Here you can see a recent video from Ward where the camera goes a little closer, and he looks quite big, his physique has changed and has some kind of acne on his back. No testing means he could be juiced to the gills.
So how can you possibly support Ward when he himself rejected VADA Testing for the Kovalev rematch while Kovalev is still enrolled in the Clean Boxing Progam and can be drug-tested year round 24/7?
It seems like Ward is using Drug testing as a tool to get another unfair advantage over Kovalev, even worse than Floyd did in the past. At least Floyd was tested by USADA as well but Ward is not even being tested at all!
Update 1: Some great observations from the last couple months:
Andre Ward delayed the negotiations for the fight for three months. Kathy Duva and Sergey's team didn't hear a word from him nor his team during that period. The original contract had a rematch clause in it stating that both fighters would have to undergo VADA testing for four month period prior to the fight and they had to commence doing it by a certain date (Link: http://www.boxingscene.com/kovalev-promoter-ward-side-not-responding-deadlines-loom--113470. That date passed thanks to Ward's stalling and if I remember correctly team Ward only came back to the negotiating table with less than three months to go before the fight date. Now Ward is flashing a new ripped physique and flexing like a bodybuilder in front of the assembled media and talking about how he wants Sergey as mad as possible cause ''he gonna run into sumting''.
Remember when Edwin Rodriguez called for Ward to join him doing VADA for their fight and Ward flipped out? Ward said they sprung it on him out of the blue at the presser and that he should've brought it up during negotiations. But Victor Conte had already broached the subject of them doing VADA testing to Virgil Hunter a few weeks before then. Ward claims he didn't know anything about that but I doubt that very much. He expects up to believe that Virgil didn't mention it to him? GTFOH
Update 2: Ward stalling the rematch to bypass VADA Testing? With Boxingscene article from February
Kovalev's Promoter: Ward's Side Not Responding, Deadlines Loom
On November 18th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Andre Ward (31-0, 15 KOs) won a close and controversial twelve round unanimous decision against Sergey Kovalev (30-1, 26 KOs) for his IBF, WBA and WBO light heavyweight titles.
As part of that deal, Kovalev - who is promoted by Main Events - had an immediate rematch clause that they are trying to enforce.
Now, they are pushing to make this fight a reality in the first half of 2017.
Kathy Duva, the head of Main Events advised BoxingScene.com that HBO is looking to stage the fight on June 17th. She's reached out to Roc Nation Sports, who promote Ward, and heard nothing back.
"We sent a letter to Roc Nation three days ago letting them know that we are running up on a deadline. HBO prefers the 17th of June for the fight. We told them that per our contract that's the date for the fight and we sent them a notice basically saying lets get started working on this," Duva told BoxingScene.
According to our contract whenever we put something to them they have 72 hours to answer. It's been 72 hours, they have not answered."
There is also this important stipulation as it relates to the potential rematch.
"One of the terms is 120 days of the drug testing and we're coming up on the deadline to get started,"she explained.
So has Duva sent Roc Nation notices in the past and received any response?
"I had two emails saying, 'Yeah, we'll be in touch soon,' and then nothing," Duva said.

He made your white hope quit like a b1tch.
Suck on that.
I don't understand the gif...are you saying the punch clearly landing on the hublot lettering didn't land on the hublot lettering? or are you making light of ward landing an obvious low blow?
Great thread. Very prophetic. Andre Son of Suddenly Appearing Back Acne Right When Unnatural Muscle Gains Appear Ward.
Dude are you retarded. this was disproved in the thread. It's cool you hate Ward but he beat Kov the 2nd fight straight up.
Part of being a top fighter is managing your drugs vs. your opponent's drugs. If Ward is juicing while Kovalev is not, it's Kovalev's fault.
Maybe this logic would have some basis if there was no drug testing for the fight, but if one is being prevented from using by the sanctioning body, while the other isn't, that is not Kovalev's fault. That's like instead of a fair fight, you call the cops and get them to hold down the other guy for you while you kick him. The advantages Ward had in the rematch were as suspect as it comes, across the board. Haven't seen anything that bad since the referee saved Bute in that fight years ago. And yet Ward still couldn't even get a legit victory, with all that in his favor. That tells you who the better boxer is more than any "official" result on a piece of paper could, and real boxing fans know there is truth in that.

Ward is enrolled in VADA testing. Read the thread.
what do you expect from a guy like ward? of course he's gonna cheat, he knows there's no way he can beat kovalev on the same playing field.
come on this is expected! ward's a cheater."peeleft:
Read the thread, moron.
:rofl::rofl:
Steve Kim, Dan Rafael, VADA official website all corroborate that Ward has been in testing for months and some people are still pretending like this is even an argument.
Jubei can't take one tweet as official proof, doe. :lol1:
This is how pathetic Jubei is. He asked Dan Rafael Rafael an hour ago if there's VADA testing for Ward, and he's still pretending there's no VADA for Ward after getting more confirmation.
Thanks Dan, you are the first and only guy who mentioned anything about it. VADA homepage/Twitter/boxrec doesnt mention Ward at all— RegularGuy (@Al_from_Hell) June 4, 2017
