If Brook somehow pulls off the upset this saturday, how big would the win be? I want everyone to go on record before the right just in case.
We saw what happened with Fury after beating Klitschko. The very same people who said he didn't have a snowballs chance in hell, said Klitschko was old and done after the fight.
So how legendary would this be?
I don't consider Golovkin great so I can't consider it a great win really. Great is not a word I throw around though, it would likely be the biggest win of the year and would really put Brook on the map but it is not on the all-time level of big wins or upsets.
So brook is a ww who hasn't fought sanyone now? GGG is a middleweight who hasn't fought anyone as well? I mean this is over thinking too much.
If GGG beats brook, brook will want you to give GGG some credit. Brook regards himself as special.
I don't give a rat's ass what Kell Brook considers himself.
Yeah, Brook does have SOME chance to beat GGG. GGG is a good fighter no doubt he just fights bums and is overrated. Brook took the risk in going up 2 weight divisions. GGG took no risk in fighting a welterweight. Especially a welterweight who hasn't fought anyone good aside from Shawn Porter. GGG fighting in the UK isn't much of an argument. He's the mw champ so the judges will be in his favor (if they lean towards either fighter at all).

I have two answers to that. A good win and fighter of the year potential. I can't put it on all time great status because neither fighter is on that level yet.
I agree with this.
It sounded like you thought brook had good chance to beat the overated ggg, so if GGG beat brook it would be decent win over someone who had chance to beat him.
So GGG shouldn't get any credit for besting brook in UK? GGG not taking any riusk? Every 16o guy would beat brook no problem would they?
Give GGG some credit but put into perspective please. I personally wouldn't bet much money on any lmw or mW to definateky beasbeast brook. We not sure how well brook will be exactly but I sweassweasr GGG critics get too emotional

Not at all. I don't know what I said that made you think that. Brook should get credit for beating GGG but GGG shouldn't get credit for beating Brook. Brook is the one taking the risk. NOT GGG.

So at least you sound like GGG should get credit for besting brook

I just love how stupid Golovkin fans are.
GGG don't need to get in the ring to porove he's better than nelo. Nelo admitted he can't beat GGG yet. All this talk from nelo that ggg hasn't fought anyone and beat anyone is just nelo trying to flatter himsekf and blow his own trumpoet. Nelo has not proven he can beat those guys. And nobody thinks nelo could do it as clinically as GGG anyway. So he's proven in many ways that's clear. Get over the fact that experts believe GGG would beat nelo if they were the same size from seeing gggs body of work. Get over the fact that nobody thinks nelo would handle gggs opponents like GGG did. Get over the fact all experts are in agreement GGG would destroy everyone on nelos resume, apart from cotton maybe, I love cotto
GGG isn't even close in comparison to Hagler, Leonard, or Sugar Ray Robinson. He has beaten bums. The only hardcore fans he has are trolls. Brook has a chance at beating him and it will be a good win for Brook but nothing on the level of the other fights mentioned.

It's not Leonard vs Hagler esque because GGG isn't Hagler. But it would be damn impressive. GGG is a puncher at the larger weight, and a well schooled boxer with good amateur experience. It's asking a LOT of Brook to even make it last 12.
Take it how you want. GGG didn't look his usual smiley, happy self. He looked like someone with a virus.
Hopefully he'll recover fully by tonight.
I agree. Doesn't mean he's sick. That's speculation.
The thing is, just because people duck a fighter doesn't mean that fight belongs in the top 5 P4P. Lara called him out, Ward, he could have moved up, etc.. We've all heard this plenty of times, no need to repeat it.
GGG is top 5 PFP even if nelo wasn't born and never existed. So if brook beats GGG it is a massive achievement beating top 5pfp. It doesn't make GGG overrated as GGG hasn't fought anyone like you claim. You must assume GGG has already beat nelo.
I'm just saying nelo said he's not ready for GGG and is duckingg him. At no point t has GGG said he's not ready for lara.
Srl v hacker weren't even that big upset come to think of it. Srl was so good in first place anyway that that fight was bordering on even. Same with brook, brook ius very good even drained
Biggest upset must be Tyson v buster Douglas, but they were same size guys. So its hard to say
SRL the welterweight coming off a 5 year lay off only with a gimme fight 3 years prior in which he was dropped for the first time, whilst coming up against the long time middleweight champion who was knocking everybody out.
It was a huge upset.
Holy **** then we won't be able to give Brook credit should he make history tonight.

Well, brook is beating a PFP top 5 guy in GGG. So GGG is proven even if he didnt get in ring to prove it, ie nelo , ducked him citing not ready for such a test. GGG can't be penalised for opponents not being ready, but in actusal fact must be compensated. Which GGG is with top 5 PFP ratuing.
Brook will be better than people thought.
Someone must gain something from this fight.

It would just expose the fuk out of GGG for being overrated. He has yet to fight a legit real challenge, so he is still unproven at the highest level.

If Brook beats Golovkin - On par with SRL vs Hagler / Turpin vs SRR?
(...)
So how legendary would this be?
I usually don't compare fighters from the present era to those who use to fight 15 rounds for a belt and had the same day weigh-in.
