This is a better idea than whatever the fu&k is happening in Boxing now.
Nothing is going to "kill" Boxing, it'll stay alive, but all of this kind of crap definitely limits Boxing, it hinders the success/progress of Boxing.
When the fans, the people who love the sport, actually hate what's going on in the sport... it's not a good thing.
THIS IS SO CRUEL it makes my blood BOIL! ONE- THE KANGAROO HAS NO DENFENSE FROM A MAN- someone who is supposed to have a ****ing brain because some idiot strapped up his paws with ****ing gloves. And secondly the kangaroo is wearing a lead. So if he did manage to do any damage then he would be pulled away. NOT funny.
Yeah...
But there are worse things to be that upset about.
Mexico is big place... the Azteca civilization existed in southern/central Mexico.
Guys like Julio Cesar Chavez, Erik Morales, and Andy Ruiz are from northern Mexico (Sonora/Sinaloa/Baja California/California-USA). It's possible that their ancestors came from the Azteca region, but also possible their ancestry is Raramuri/Tarahumara (and indigenous people world re-known for their extreme stamina) or some other northern people who are not Azteca.

Funny how Josh has beaten 3 out of the top-10 in 22 career fights. Wilder has beaten 1 in 43 career fights. And Fury has beaten none in 30 fights, yet they ranked him as 1.
Ring magazine has been rubbish since De La Hoya bought it. I prefer boxrec because it’s based on computer algorithms.
Ruiz is 1, Josh is 2, Wilder is 3 and Fury is 4. That should be the true ranking. Both Fury and Wilder have one decent win in their careers.
Losses matter.
Is Andres Ruiz already a bigger draw/attraction/star than Deontay Wilder???
As of right now, I'd rather see the Ruiz-AJ rematch than the Fury-Wilder rematch... or Fury-AJ... or AJ-Wilder.
Wilder is the most talked about here he brings trash talk and koes.
But you also got Crawford Spence and Thurman coming on the rise.
Mikey G still has some potential
Gervontae Davis is starting to get noticed (for the wrong reasons thoe)
The Charlos were also getting some hype but one loss and the other keeps fighting low caliber.
Broner could have done it but we all know the story there.
How do you define "Mainstream"?
Was Boxing mainstream in the 1980s/1990s (Mike/Oscar era)?
Is College Basketball mainstream?
Is MMA mainstream right now?
Boxing needs more than a "star,"or two, to make it mainstream. Boxing needs ESPN, FOX, DAZN to work for it to stay in the minds of the average sports fan
It was because Lalonde was a paper champion who couldn't fight a lick. It didn't matter how much larger he was than Leonard. He couldn't fight; Which was why Leonard cherrypicked him in the first place. The same way that Canelo is cherrypicking Kovalev who has two knockout losses on his record.
Both Leonard and Canelo perceived their naturally larger opponents as limited, low risk and safe. Why don't Canelo call Andre Ward out of retirement if he wants to fight a Light heavyweight then? He won't because he knows he'll get his ass kicked :lol1:
Yeah, and looking back...
Is Kovalev equivalent to Lalonde? Kovalev is proven, elite, multiple-time, LHW Champ. Kovalev is currently considered/ranked Top 3 in the world by Boxing media (the TBRB).
Is Canelo asking for a Catchweight? SRL weighed in at 165 lbs and Lalonde at 167 lbs. Canelo is willing to fight Kovalev at the LHW limit, 175 lbs, no catchweight.
What's really going on here is that Canelo, and/or DAZN (most likely), are looking for the BIG fights. They're looking for matchups against opponents with cachet; Name-Value is important to them. So there is maneuvering, they are trying to position their fighter for $ucce$$... it is a form of "Cherry Picking," yeah... but it's not about a fighter being "scared" or a "coward," or blah blah blah. And it ain't Lalonde, it's fu&ken Sergey Kovalev at LHW.
Oh and BTW, Canelo (and Oscar) has said that he would fight Andre Ward (at 168 or 175) when asked about it in the build-up to Daniel Jacobs fight (MW).
at 2:10
Is Andre Ward a "coward" for retiring early? For not coming back?
(rhetorical question -- the answer is "No")
Canelo is a coward. He is only taking this fight because he believes Sergei is now shopworn and past his physical prime.
Unfortunately, he doesn't feels the same way about Golovkin. He knows Gennady has a lot left in the tank at this point and could still potentially whup his ass; Which is why he is ducking him.
The Bitch ass coward!
Shut your fooken mouth.
Goofball, the man is moving up to fight a TOP 3 LHW. Started off at 147 lbs and is looking to challenge at 175 lbs now.
Does anyone see some of Mike Tyson in Andy Ruiz?
(It wasn't until other people mentioned Micheal Jordan in comparison to Kawhi Leonard in these recent NBA Playoffs, that I actually saw some of Jordan in Kawhi; similar kind of bounce to his game, soft jumpers, very nuanced)
They have been homeless since HBO went out of buisness Kathy Duva burned a lot of bridges being a shill for HBO so now she can't get any dates any where
I hope DAZN gives Main Events some dates kind of sad seeing what happened to them
Eddie Hearn is "Matchroom" (a promotion)
Eddie Hearn is not DAZN (a broadcaster/platform)
I still dont get it.
That doesn't mean shit! Ray Leonard started his career at 147 also and moved up to challenge and defeat a naturally larger man in Donny Lalonde at 168 and 175.
"That doesn't mean sh&t"...???
What are you talking about?
March 2018 -
Jermall Charlo at Barclays Center after Wilder-Ortiz fight
- "I'm looking for him Daniel Jacobs] right now... where they at? I'm in Brooklyn... Jacobs want to fight, lets fight. You feel like that, man lets skip the Centeno fight, you aint gotta take your next fight... lets skip that sh&t, lets get to the bag..."
And then Daniel Jacobs shows up (at 2:20)...

Willie Monroe Jr
Artur Akavov
Andy Lee
that was a good watch. thanks.
With all of this Jaime Munguia non-sense flying around yesterday... I started looking into good possible matchups to make at MW... and I came across that Charlo-Jacobs video.
That really is the fight to make next for Charlo. If anything, Andrade and Charlo should be jockeying to face Jacobs next (if not eachother). Even if Jacobs isn't the Champ, the has "the name" that means something at MW. Andrade and Jermall hold belts at MW, but are still partly unproven.
His payday against Canelo would go up in flames if Daniel Jacobs beats him. He doesn't want to risk his record unless it's against Alvarez!
And that's the problem.
One loss should not be such a 'death sentence' to a fighter's chance of being a Title Contender (or a Canelo-Opponent).
Lose to Jacobs... okay, that's a setback, but if you come back and beat Rob Brant and then beat David Lemieux... you should be right back in the mix.
All of the Hugo Centeno's and the Gabriel Rosado's and Artur Akavov will always be there to build back on.
Damn, Canelo tied for youngest fighter on here and he's got a beast of a resume already. Dude is a special fighter indeed.
Meanwhile...when is Charlo going to fight someone??? Ok he can't get the Canelo fight because the line and begging is long...
So find a live body then. I don't want to keep hearing about the other side of the fence bullshiiiit.
Haymon is running out of Uber Eats motherfukers to feed him.
Quite honestly, Andrade is building a better claim compared to Jermall's MW resume.
Demetrius Andrade's recent Common Opponents comparison:
Maciej Sulecki
- Andrade practically shut him out; Boring, maybe, but dominant win
- Daniel Jacobs had a fairly tough win
Artur Akavov
- Andrade got the TKO in the 12th; arguably only lost 2 RDs
- Billy Joe Saunders was embarrassed by his Decision win; lost 4 or 5 RDs
Charlo needs to get after Daniel Jacobs before Andrade gets him.
Lets get these fights going!
Moves up to 168 to fight fake WBA regular bum Rocky Fielding. Claims to be a SMW champ.
Now he calls out Kovalev who is still great but clearly old and vulnerable. Why doesn’t Clenelo go after a young lion in their prime like Bivol or GvoDzyk?
Bivol fought a 36-year old Pascal one fight ago
Bivol fought a 36-year old Barrera last year
(by far the two highest rated oppts on Bivol's resume)
Gvodzyk fought a 37-year old Ngumbu in his last fight
Gvodzyk fought a 41-year old Stevenson one fight ago
Gvodzyk fought a 35-year old Mehid Amar last year
Why don't Bivol or Gvodzyk go after Artur Beterbiev?
Artur Beterbiev has the IBF belt...
Oh and he also has a 100% KO ratio
Sergey Kovalev is 36 years old, btw.
Why isn’t Canelo calling out the other 175 champs?

Sergey Kovalev is a TOP 3 RANKED LHW, you goofball!
LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
TOP 3 IN THE WORLD
... or is he not???
On top of that, I couldn't pick Bivol, Gvozdyk, or Beterbiev out of line-up. Sergey Kovalev, I know. Sergey Kovalev, I've seen.
The Canelo-Kovalev matchup would be the most interesting.
