They can't be considered p4p. Why? P4p definition....
A SMALLER GUY WITH THE SKILL TO BEAT MUCH LARGER GUYS BUT WOULD NOT BE EXPECTED TO WIN BECAUSE OF THE SIZE DIFFERENCE. (ex: Juan Manuel Marquez has the skill to beat WWs but cannot beat Welterweights because of a distinct size disadvantage.)
So with that said.... How in the world can Heavyweights be considered p4p?
boxrec do it on points i think, its messed up, pavlik shouldnt be that high nor should vitali
They are up that high because of their KO percentage, a big factor in p4p. The actual fighting weight doesnt affect the ratings as much as the opposition faced, the opponents faced KO % and records, boxers KO % and longevity.
look at all the american bias to the kitschkos
im american, but this is ridiculous
klits are definitely top 10 P4P....
I have a hard time putting them in the top 10p4p generally Heavyweights don't make it into most peoples top p4p anyway.
I'd put vitali on there i suppose, because he's had some bigger named opponents and he's done rather well, although wlad stayed active for the time vitali wasn't fighting.
I dunno, 10 p4p maybe top 20 p4p definately
I don't know if would have Wlad and Vitali that high, but they should definitely be in the top 10. A guy from the RING had them both tied at #7, I think that's about right.
I'd have trouble arguing in favor of that list, if one tried, they could make a case for all of those people in the order they're in, but it'd be a stretch and require too much effort. Not a terrible list but i give it a B-
Its called POUND 4 POUND ranking, Not defeated best fighters in thier division rankings
If it was called that then Wlad and Vitali would be #1 and #2
Look at it this way, if JMM and the Klitschkos were at the same weight, JMM wins easy.
The Boxingrec rankings use computers which would obvioiusly put klitschkos up there because the Klitschkos dominate and beat the best heavyweights
You are probably from Ukraine but not Ukrainian. Never mind.
This counter-factual statement "I doubt Klitschko facing JMM at the same weight would win" is quite ridiculous.
Do you imply that K should drop 100 pounds of weight or JMM should gain 100 pounds of weight?
No man, do you know the definition of P4P?
The BoxRec P4P computer is worse than the BCS ratings.
That should tell you all you need to know.
At least computer scoring has some objectivity that you don't.
First of all im Ukrainian like the Klitschkos so its not American bias....P4P means if 2 fighters faced eachother at the same weight then the higher ranked fighter would win. I doubt Klitschko facing JMM at the same weight would win

This is an objective system, so your American biasses against Klitschkos are not taken into account by the system.

Yea thats true because u cant find a fighter there that is smaller then a welterweight since Marquez last fought at welterweight, and we all know small weights are more easily ranked P4P fighters
Looks reall off to me...i love the Klitschkos but they are not P4P material. Everything else looks fine to me because Mayweather only defeated JMM in 3 years which will def move u down in rankings
Also im 99% sure its computer generated rankings like in college football
