Does the mexican fighting spirit and style come from their Aztec warrior blood?

Cultural. A lot of Mexicans raise their boys to be men in the traditional alpha man mold. They take pride in winning and aren't into all these 9th place trophies we hand out in America. Back when I was training fighters and sparring with them, the Mexican fighters were the most resilient. They would not stop coming at you until you put them down, they really made you work for it, no quit in them.

It comes from growing up generally poorer than most of the other countries. It's why you don't see a lot of fighters who were well off or rich (outside of generational fighters) at the top of the game. Same reason employees from foreign war torn countries have a good work ethic....what seems like harder work to you is just an easier day compared to their previous life. No. No truth at all. Just romantic BS. Fighting spirit is an individual thing and no country or race has a monopoly on it. The Aztecs were just one large tribe of dozens of tribes of Indians living in Mexico when the Spanish came to Mexico. Who says their warriors had more fighting spirit than any of the other tribes????? The Spanish conquered them all. The vast majority of Mexican boxers probably have very little or no Aztec blood and we have no idea which ones do. Boxing is a big deal in Mexico so that might help make Mexican boxers fight extra hard but the Aztecs have nothing to do with that. As I said fighting spirit is an individual thing. Most Mexicans carry some Spanish blood so maybe the Spanish conquerors of Mexico contribute to their fighting spirit if you think it works that way and I don't. After all those guys were some bad MFers and they conquered the Aztecs and all the other tribes and they were always outnumbered. Mexico is big place... the Azteca civilization existed in southern/central Mexico. Guys like Julio Cesar Chavez, Erik Morales, and Andy Ruiz are from northern Mexico (Sonora/Sinaloa/Baja California/California-USA). For every Chavez or Canelo or Ruiz there's a 1000 who ain't. Per boxrec Mexico with a population of about 130 million has 2419 pro boxers (male) in all classes, 1 per 54000. The USA with 328 million citizens has only slightly more at 2681, 1 per 122000, with the UK falling in between at approx 1 per 70000. I'm gonna take a wild stab and guess that if you averaged out the # of titles held with the # of professional fighters coming from a country over a significant time frame you'd find that basically there ain't that much difference between the success of nations per capita. Might find the newer boxing nations such as the Ukraine and Russian skew this a little since the trail has been blazed by elite amateurs without the mass of journeymen who make up the bulk of fighters in the traditional boxing nations (Ukraine for instance only has 190 pro fighters from a population 45 mil but is heavy with elite talent) but this phenomenon will fade over time. In short people are people and it's very much more about the individual and the opportunities available to em that any particular race or culture being better fighters. As pointed out by 'Pandas above every culture that has survived to the present day has a strong martial tradition, but ultimately the biggest deciding factor of which countries produce the most boxers seems to be a combination of tradition and access to the sport and poverty - or at least wealth inequality. In the majority hardship and lack of alternative opportunities are what drive people to try to make a living from beating the snot out of each other. The bolded is the decisive element, imo. The length of time that boxing has mattered in a particular country, or to a particular ethnic group within that country, is also relevant. Having a strong fighting tradition instills pride in that tradition, and also confidence that you, as an individual, have what it takes to compete with the best. That's what the so called "fighting blood " of the Mexicans, Gypsies, or whoever, really is. Tradition, pride, and confidence, not genes.

The lingo they speak is a clue to the answer to your question. I believe it is known as "Spanish" Spaniards hate the way Mexicans speak spanish and we think they speak like f.a.g.s with lisp so if the language is all u can hold onto to prove your point its a very weak point in 2019.
