I swear the people that say "Floyd hasn't taken risks, hasn't fought anyone good, hasn't done this or that, hasn't proved anything", have only been seriously watching boxing since like 2008-2009 at the earliest.
And I can't believe the guy above me, what a joke. So.....Genaro Hernandez, Angel Manfredy, Carlos Gerena, Diego Corrales, Carlos Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, Jose Luis Castillo, Arturo Gatti, Zab Judah, Carlos Baldomir, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Shane Mosley, Victor Ortiz, and MIguel Cotto were all cherry picks????
Hernandez had only lost once at 135 to Oscar 3-4 years earlier, was the king at 130. Manfredy had just beaten Gatti. Gerena was one of the top ranked SFW. Corrales was #5 P4P and unbeaten. C. Hernandez and Chavez were both top ranked SFW and would go on to be world title holders. Castillo was the king at 135, had just beaten Stevie Johnston. Gatti had just beaten Branco, Dorin, and Leija, was one of the top ranked JWW. Judah had been upset by Baldomir, but still was one of the top ranked WW. Baldomir was the RING WW Champ, had just beaten Judah. De La Hoya was at 154 lbs and had KO'd Mayorga. Hatton was #8 P4P, unbeaten, and had previously won a title at WW. Mosley had just beaten Mayorga and Margarito, was ranked #9 P4P. And Ortiz had just beaten Berto and should have beat Peterson, was the next best WW aside from Floyd and Manny.
And as far as Roy Jones......so I guess Glenn Thomas, Bernard Hopkins, Thomas Tate, James Toney, Bryant Brannon, Montell Griffin, Virgil Hill, Lou Del Valle, Otis Grant, Richard Hall, Eric Harding, Julio Cesar Gonzalez, Glen Kelly, Clinton Woods, John Ruiz, and Antonio Tarver were all cherry picks???? My god....
yea...i think dela hoya and castillo were his riskiest fights
but adding guys like gatti/judah just shows you are trying to hard
and wtf @ tate, brannon, grant etc for roy
