Paulies style would acually be Garcias worst nightmare. Jabbing and moving is something he cant deal with. That combined with Paulies steelchin would make him favorit for me. Styles make fights. Anyone who tries to stand in front of Garcia is dead.

Alvarado wins on points. I think he has learnt how to deal with that brawler style after his two fights with Rios. Provodnikov and Rios has exacly the same style. Its just that Rios is regarded a bum after being schooled by Abril. I have a feeling people are reading a little to much into the Bradley- Provonikov fight. Provodnikov managed to make his fight with Bradley close becose Bradley was hit with a right hand in the first round that concussed him. Therefore he fought like he did with zero headmovement. Wladimirs chin is underrated. 95% of every heavyweight that gets hit right on the chin by someone like Saunders goes down. Wladimir took a pretty good right hook by Thompson and wasnt shaken. Comacho was a very good fighter and would have given mayweather everything could handle.
I don't buy into the scared theories. For the most part professional boxers have been landing and taking punches for years, and I don't think they "fear" any opponent. However, managers, promoter, etc might fear what one fighter could do to their bottom line profits if they faced certain opponents, happens all the time

In my oppinion Garcia lost to theophane also. Garcias cryptonite is movement. If people stand in front of him he can hit them with that baseballbat letfhook. If you move he cant settle his feet.
I think i have the answer to this. Boxers of the older era had stronger hands. They where in most cases from the working class doing heavy work that incorporating lifting heavy stuff, bending, pulling, squeezing and therefore hardening their hands from childhood. All that hard work that helped a prizefighter has now been replaced by machines. I do belive prizefighters of today would benefit from speending more time exerzising their hands. Squeezing rubber balls for example.
