I mean the question was at this point. And at this point in time I do believe floyd is the stronger of the 2.
But just damn at Sr. Using Ortiz as an example.
He needs a lot.
His lead right is nothing like Mayweather's; Mayweather sets it, turns it over and has great leverage, Broner just falls into it.
His defence is nothing like Mayweather's; Mayweather rolls, ducks, moves and parries, Broner just stands there in the stance and gets punched in the face.
His movement is nothing like Mayweather's; Mayweather goes in and out, slides laterally and in general has great footwork, Broner stands planted with a wide stance and moves like he is wearing cement blocks as shoes.
In other words, stop trying to be Mayweather, you are terrible at it.
And if you've looked at Floyd's career, he didn't start using the shoulder roll technique until he perfected it. Sr was right, you can mimick it but the second he came under pressure he abandoned it.
I'll say it like I told my friend during the fight. The only similarities between floyd & broner is they're black & fight out of the shell. Floyd uses thinking, skill, good footwork, and head movement. Broner relies totally on athleticism. What got broner was that he thought he could rely on that bully style and take his opponent's best shot while walking him down, but he finally felt that true ww power. Floyd's approach would be nothing like that. He would stick and move instead of standing there taking shots. And as much as we knock him for not having power, he has enough to make his opponents respect him and not bulldoze through him.
obvious troll is obvious
lol
10 posts too, sup broseph
So because I formed my own opinion and don't spend the majority of my day posting on a boxing forum I'm a troll?
I actually have a hard time enjoying the Provodnikov vs Bradley fight.
I'm more looking with a cringeworthy look on my face the entire time because I've watched previous Provodnikov fights and that man is as strong as a bull.
Bradley may not have the best chin (a good chin imo) but his heart is already on par with the likes of Arturo Gatti and Jake LaMotta imo
He could have saved prime years by just boxing Ruslan
Tremendous respect for Bradley but I hope that he doesn't do that **** again
He was out on his feet many times but still fought back without thinking about quiting for 1 second.
Mike Alvarado is a legit tough guy and Brandon Rios couldn't even do what Provodnikov did to him while Alvarado fought Rios's fight in the first fight (premature stoppage imo but whatever)
exactly no need to go in and risk your career to prove your toughness.
It's not just black fighters, it's slick fighters or defensive.
Some have a shell defence like Abraham, who people say are boring.
Wlad is boring, because he is defensive and rarely gets hit flush.
The general fans love a tear up, and that is how it is and always will be.
just stating what he said.
Feather fisted Bradley had Ruslan hurt repeatedly
Lucas, I'm pretty sure though not 100% positive, has more power than Bradley
I think
:boxing:
and he repeatedly punished Bradley also. After seeing the Garcia fight I just don't think lucas has what it takes.
alright, since I see you guys didn't watch the video I'll explain. He was talking about how all out wars with no skill is glorified these days. How fighters, specifically slick black boxers, are called boring. He then talks about how boxing is getting away from the sweet science that it was built on. He calls the names of some fighters that would be considered boring today. and he speaks on how taking those punches affect the fighters outside the ring. It was a great interview.
Lmao, that's funny. I always laugh when people know nothing about weight classes. Surprisingly enough, no one has asked me anything crazy like that.
Yeah don't understand how he doesn't know weight classes, when he's a big ufc fan. Remember another time he told me he didn't like boxing because they hug too much. I wanted to tell him so bad how much is maybe 3-5 seconds of holding any worse than 2 minutes of damn near missionary sex.
Seth Mitchell was not the best example. He has good power, but he was exposed quickly. Doesn't have the necessary skill or chin to compete with the elites. Think the same will happen to Deontay Wilder sooner or later.
My roommate walked in when I was watching the Mayweather-Canelo highlights so he asked me "I know Mayweather is good, but who do you think would win between him and Mike Tyson".
Only time I watch boxing with my family is when there's a Mayweather fight, because that's the only person they know. And I have one cousin that always has to go against what everybody else thinks. He'll talk the whole fight about how Floyd is going to get knocked out. And by the time he schools his opponent, he's talking about how he can knockout both of them. All this coming from a habitual weed smoker that's drunk and has no coordination when he isn't.
I used to love watching Kimbo in the street fights. With that said, he would get his ass whooped with the quickness. He has absolutely no defense and no stamina.
The only hype I've seen with wilder is from casual fans. I think pretty much anybody that's done more than look at his record sees he has flaws that could get him ko'd.
why is hbo doing this to us? wilder destroys both these guys in the first round. stop trying to build hypejobs hbo. wilder is and will be the champ from now until retirement.
Calling 2 other fighters in defense of wilder. The irony.
Anyway I like what I've been seeing from Jennings. His competition has gotten better with each fight and he's a fighter that stays in shape all year round. Should be a good fight.
