BoxingScene.com has been advised that a deal is close for a battle of undefeated heavyweights, with Bryant Jennings (17-0, 9 KOs) facing Polish star Artur Szpilka (16-0, 12 KOs).

Jennings was initially set to face Mariusz Wach in January 18th in the HBO televised co-feature to Jean Pascal-Lucian Bute at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. Wach agreed to the fight and then withdrew a few days later.

When Wach pulled out, Szpilka stepped up and called Jennings out. Jennings and his promoter, Gary Shaw, accepted the challenge.

The fight is going to be paired up with Mikey Garcia's first defense of the WBO super featherweight title on January 25th at The Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden. Garcia is likely facing Juan Carlos Burgos.
